Still Recruiting! [Royal Flush](https://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/75506/posts/ooc) So, I wanted to make an RP centered around an academy on a secluded island where, unbeknownst to the general student body, our PCs do battle with extra-dimensional creatures leaking from an ancient sealed portal. So, pretty generic, right? Okay, so what if the school is accessible only by the ultra rich, or politically powerful? (A little better, but still nothing new.) And what if no one at the school used their true identities, for security and equality purposes? (Uh...) Oh, and the PCs are chosen at the opening ceremony by incredibly strange and reclusive headmaster to be members of a playing card themed student council... (But what about the...) ...and are subsequently initiated into an ancient struggle against evil, given pseudo-sentient magical artifacts that learn and grow with them, and have to battle with otherwordly creatures slowly scraping their way through a portal with a magical seal that draws power from the unknowing students above. (Yeah, okay, but...) And facing possible threats from outside organizations that wish to kidnap or harm students on the island (Isn't there any physical security...?) While also investigating seemingly unrelated strange occurrences and threats from within the general student body. (Is this between classes, or after school?) All while keeping these things a secret from the other students and the outside world as a whole. So, maybe that's a lot of things, but I feel like it could work smoothly (and be fun!) if executed well enough. It may seem like a bunch of somewhat disjointed ideas, but I'm quickly fleshing more out. Feel free to post interest, suggestions, criticism, and pictures of cute cats.
