This will be a sci-fi RP if anyone shows up. RP Teaser/Starter You are thrown from your cryopod in an emergency defrost sequence. Your head is fuzzy and your eyes are unfocused, but, as your senses come back to you several things stand out. The ship's general alarm is belting out it's mournful, slow, whooping call from the yellow speakers mounted on the walls. Beacons are casting red spotlights upon the interior as they spin almost lazily. You start as the realization hits you that gravity is gone, and you are floating in zero gee. You make your way to the bridge... hull breaches in several places, massive engine damage, radiation leaks and one of the huge atomic reactors is slowly melting itself. You see out of the window that you appear to be orbiting Ceres. What in the world happened? Backstory What has happened is that a Mars space-liner, essentially a cruise ship in space, has somehow overshot her target massively and ended up out in the far reaches of the Asteroid Belt in a high orbit of Ceres. Her name is the Terra. She is the pride of the Silver Lining Transit Corporation, who ran several ships between Mars and Earth. She was one of three sister ships built just five years ago in 2081, a huge ship with state-of-the-art systems and luxuries. Now, however, most of the systems are damaged or offline, and a lot of engineering is out of reach because the triplet reactors are letting off plumes of radiation. Thankfully, the bulkheads seal it into a few compartments. The ship is somewhat alive, equipped with a hyperadvanced AI that is sentient and capable of free will and thought. Though she was told to keep the cryopods frozen until a rescue arrived, she has nearly gone mad from isolation and has thawed several passengers. The computer that controls her has suffered damage from a wavering power grid and a long time of neglect, but she remembers something that made the unfrozen passengers leave, and something that hurt her. You are one of the frozen, a passenger that paid for the cheapest ticket and as such was put into a deep hibernation in a cryopod. Most of the passengers paid higher and were allowed to stay awake and take advantage of the Terra's luxurious amenities. Somehow, they were taken or left, and they left behind a broken ship that is totally lost. You now need to find a way to call for help, or get home. The passengers left are from no one group. There were weapons for the security force aboard the Terra, but the armory is locked, and the weapons may be gone. You may have been out here for years, months, maybe decades... again, the Terra can't tell you how long she has been alone. There might not be much food left. You have to escape or be rescued. Other Info Apologies for the text wall, but I had to give you an idea of your situation. The year, as you could certainly tell, is currently 2086. The tech level is highly advanced, with a fully sentient AI, hyper advanced atomic power, genetic engineering and modification, etc. The Terra was supposed to only take about a month and a half to reach Mars, but, clearly her journey was extended. I'd be fine with four people, Rogue. I don't know yet if I'll be putting in a character or if I'll be playing Terra, but that can be determined later. I can get the OOC up tomorrow when I get home. More players are always welcome, though.
