It works because i think the odds can be played a bit. A man far greater than i said "Never tell me the odds."

Alright then. I'll let you in if the leader of the peasants is of gentle birth. Perhaps an unsatisfied knight that rose his village against the state etc. Deal? This way you can be considered somewhat of a noble house and still have your smelly villagers. By the way guys, in the spirit of the Roleplay, When it comes to PvP, how do you think it should be done? I was thinking the two sides figure it out together through PM (the outcome, the losses etc.) and then both post their view of the battle but with the same outcome and losses so it doesn't cause confusion. As for PvE battles, I think the one that leads our armies should deal with the outcome and losses on their own. But I'd urge you to be objective when it comes to losses as I don't want to see people constantly killing off their rivals from other noble houses. For example, if two houses are at feud but are forced to fight together against a common enemy and I appointed one of them the leader of the combined forces.

Young fillies, the only thing you need other than a large sack o' gold and some decent num nums to secure a good political relationship with my noble house.

Hmmm perhaps the mercantile ties my family has could benefit from a family not afraid to go outside of the law...perhaps my fears of raiding will in fact be a strong ally...

Wait, how about a bastard son of the former king? What a scandal would it be! So frivolous! *giggles* Or, yeah, you could always go with the last offspring of a noble house annihilated by the royal family.

That sounds good. Perhaps you could wait up until I present my family history and maybe you will find something interesting you could use to write yours. Just to make some sort of continuity. By the way guys, you can send the family names to my inbox. I will also include 2-4 royal houses in my family history which will reveal who got the title of count. I'm almost done with putting down capitals for every state and will also add the names. Then I will work on a map of our duchy and will show it to you either tomorrow or day after that. It will have villages, mines, monasteries, castles and towns on it, and maybe even rivers. It will be a political map. The map will also be divided into few counties and the land that is directly under rule of the duke. I will highlight the territory of every house which you can then divide among your family members once I open the thread in the RP section of the Nation RP sub-forum so I can give others a chance to apply as well. Limit of the number of houses will be 10 for starters and will expand as the country expands (I will state this in the OOC section when more houses can join in). I'm not sure, I think current number of interested people are 7? So that leaves room for three more.

Meh, that's the heavenly kingdom. Doesn't give or take anything so it was left out of the diagram, though I like this very much. It gives me more of an insight on the situation. I never really studied about the structure of the medieval society in dept so I'm a little bit ignorant when it comes to that. As for other stuff, I'm more or less moderate. I do my research :)

Was just doing some irony, don't worry :P The fact is that before the 17th century none questions on the nature of royal power. It was given for granted that it came directly from God.
