"Hmph, even if we had fought, you hardly look like you'd last ten seconds. I hope for your sake that you don't ever try and challenge me with magic: such things are useless against me," declared Mithrail. "Now if you have nothing else, I'll be heading to my room!" The blue haired celestial turned and walked towards the reception. She was told to look for her room number there. As soon as she got it, Mithrail walked along the corridors looking for the room she was assigned.

Charles would look to the entrance of the teacher and others, he would rub back of his head wondering what's with this place, one of the weirdest places he has been. he prepared himself knowing that the class most likely wont be simple, far as he knew. he took a deep breath and looked ahead, getting out any items he would need for the class that he would have... mainly paper and writing utensil related things.

Cruz looked at Chase. So she is the instructor... she does seem a little excited about this. But her excitement makes me uncomfortable..., he thought.

Chase nodded as Joseph entered acknowledging his presence. She raised a small brow as he gave out his name. She already suspected it, but this was the guy that went around translating Magic Books here and there. Some of them were powerful enough to be mistaken for Grimiores - which was absurd of course, because there was no way to understand a person Grimoire with out the mage's explicit permission. Still, he was becoming pretty infamous around certain circles. Chase shrugged. It wasn't her business . . . yet. Seeing James, she gave the boy a casual wave of her hand. "Okay people, I'm here as your professor on Advanced Magical Theory. It's an open course, so anyone that thinks they can keep up is welcome to join at any time - of course, vice-versa is also possible, and if you're unable to keep up with the course, you can be dropped out at any time. I'll give you up until the end of this session to decide if you want to stay. Any question~?" she said cheerfully.

"Are we still going on that field trip?" Tyler asked. He really was quite excited for it.

Meruin nodded. "We are, although it seems we have to wait until Lady Chase is done with her lessons. Weren't you going to attend them, by the way?" she asked. "Oh, also, if you're free, I'll need you to help me with a few spells I plan to use against Mithrail. You don't need to do much."

"I'm always free. Besides, I want to wipe that smug grin off of her face. I just don't want to enough to risk my position." Tyler explained with a smile.

"So you're using me to do it?" stated Meruin. Well, she didn't mind. Beating her and helping Tyler would just be hitting two birds with one stone then. "I'll have to challenge you again sometime in the future, now that I think about it. You're responsible for one of the biggest milestones I've had so far, so I can use you to measure just how much I've improved."

Tyler immediately began sweating. "There's no need to do that." He sounded highly nervous.

"Why not? It should be good practice for the both of us," said Meruin, not noticing his increasing nerve. "Well, I won't be doing it anytime soon anyway. I will still have to see to besting Mithrail." That was her name right? Oh well.

James asked, "So, are you both going to be contributing your own theories to the lesson, since this is a class on Advanced Magic Theory? Or are you going to be teaching the stuff that most magic theory classes teach, which every basic magic user should know?"

"We'll be contributing our own theories," responded Chase. "Plus some that are already accepted widely, but are a bit much for you to understand just yet."

Joseph nodded. "Yes. I couldn't have said it better myself," he said. James looked at them, and already had a notebook and pen out, ready to take notes on what they say.

Sol shook himself awake to find himself immeresed in some strange sort of liquid. One of the Doctors standing at a complex looking manchine noticed his movement and gave him a smile, "Looks like your awake, good, you should have fully recovered by now." the Man said as the liquid began to drain out of the tank he was in. Sol looked down in surpise and found his cuts and bruises and indeed vanished, in addition he was feeling very rejuvinated and full of energy. As a fan turned on and quickly dried him off the Doctor explained, "This is one of our mana tanks, as we call them. They can quickly regerenagte most wounds on a mage, even up to decapitation if they stay in long enough." he said proudly. Sol stepped out of the tank feeling airbrushed, "Well thanks for the help." he said returning the smile, then quickly rushed off assuming correctly that classes would start soon if they hadn't already. Sol slowly opened the door to Advanced Magic Thoery hoping that class hadn't started yet and to his relief wasn't greeted with the sight of everyone in class turning to stare at him. He quickly stepped in quitely and sat down in the pack of the room. Chase's skills were very impressed and he was eager to learn about the more advanced principles of magic. She had said something earlier about everything being on of the 4 aspetcs of magic. Sol wondered just how far that principle applied.

Chase was about to start the discussion when Sol walked in. "Well hello there, kid. We were just starting, have as seat." The short golden witch cleared her throat. "Now, to begin with, can anyone tell me what are the most common methods of working 'magic' as well as there corresponding styles?" Meruin looked over the book that recorded the fight between Sol and Mithrail. She sighed. There wasn't enough information here; it was a straight up physical fight, so she wouldn't know what magic could affect her. That could complicate things.

James looked at Chase. "Well, I don't know the exact names, but one type is the use of magic texts, such as grimoires and tomes, and chants to cast spells. It's one of the oldest ways to cast magic, and not very effective in a fight because of a slow casting time. Another type is the use of magic artifacts, but that's also not too effective because it requires you to have the object with you at all times, just in case."

Chase nodded. "Correct, but before I go on, I feel the need to correct a minor bit of misinformation you all have: Grimiore's, tomes and magic books are three different things. "Tomes are items with magical knowledge written in them. Some of them maybe enchanted so only the writer or someone with permission can read them, but are otherwise not magical themselves, they're just paper and writing, although there are some cases with just the writing itself being magical. Magic Books or Scrolls are books that have actual magic attributed to them that comes from the object itself. The magic that comes from them can be anything ranging from house-help to army destroyers. It takes a fair bit of magic to use these books and often times they are heavily warded against anyone but the user. Finally, we have Grimoire's. These are crystallization of a magic users souls condensed into one package. Due to the fact that you can only attain a Grimoire when you have sufficient amount of knowledge about yourself and people around you, it usually takes the form of a book, to symbolize that knowledge. No one but the user or some very special cases can fully understand a Grimoire, sometimes looking at one can kill you, and no matter what, trying to peek into it without the users permission is an action even worse than rape and murder." Chase swept her eyes across the rooms. "Are we clear on those definitions yet? I hope you're all taking down notes now~"

James had been writing all this down without even looking at the paper, something he had learned from watching his brother. He was eagerly listening, glad to learn things from the woman that he used to think of as his idol, despite not not having met her when he did look up to her. When Chase mentioned that looking at a grimoire without permission was worse than rape and murder, Joseph looked away, with an expression that seemed slightly guilty.

Ryan began memorizing all the information that as spoken when he heard the part about the grimoire. 'I wonder how close I am. How close am I to a grimoire?" He wondered to himself. He also noticed Joseph's reaction to Chase's accusation about rape and murder. ' It seems that our teacher is hiding some very terrible secrets.' He finished his thought and began paying attention once more.

Charles would of wrote down anything he needed to know fairly quickly, and rubs the back of his hand thinking for a second then shakes the thought out of his head and continues to write down anything he needs to know.
