So like, I play in medieval settings a lot! Mainly because the medieval era reminds me of small-scale warfares, making it an ideal scenario for lots and lots of conflicts, in-between kings and kings, in-between kings and peasants, in-between soldiers and soldiers.
Being who I am, I will always roleplay as a badass leader or a badass fighter or a badass both. I will never roleplay as some lowly peasant who can't afford a loaf of bread.
My role in the roleplay will always be dominant. Your role, on the other hand, is whatever you want it to be.

I'm a warlord, or a soldier of said warlord, who conquered your lands. And BOOM. Plot starts right there...
