16 years ago, twin children were born to a young mother, the father having left before their birth. Unknown to them or their mother, these two children were the Prophesied Messiah and Antichrist. While the Angels of Heaven and the Demons of Hell were aware of this fact, most cared little for the fate of the twins, save for their roles in the Apocalypse. But a small few on either side decided that prophecy should be changed. This tiny group of allied Angels and Demons put aside their differences in the hopes of shielding the twins from their fate, and perhaps changing the outcome of the Apocalypse altogether. The Gray Aegis, as they called themselves, came to earth, taking on the roles of teachers, neighbours, friends and acquaintances for the children and to some extent their mother, though she was not pivotal to their goal. Now, on May 13th, the twins turn sixteen, and the first seal is broken… This RP would follow the Prophesied Children and their guardians as the Apocalypse tears their world. The twins turning 16 has broken the first seal, allowing both Demons and Angels to come to earth with the goal of breaking the remaining Seals, with each Seal broken bringing the world one step closer to the final battle between Heaven and Hell that will decide the fate of the earth once and for all. But the goal of the Gray Aegis is to use the bond that has formed between the Children to bring a different end, one where humanity survives the Apocalypse and Heaven and Hell are not given free reign to do what they wish with human souls. For characters, the only specific ones are the twins, who know nothing of their involvement with the Apocalypse. For Angels and Demons the Archangels are off-limits, as are the Princes and Archdukes of Hell. You can of course feel free to make up Angels and Demons, but basing your character around canonical ones will definitely get you bonus points. The Twins do have special powers, but those will be slowly unlocked as the Seals are broken, and we’ll work out exactly what they are over PM. Angels and Demons have both racial and unique powers, racial ones will be listed here while unique ones are up to you, within reason of course, nothing overpowered. Certain powers are shared between Angels and Demons, these are the following: -Angels and Demons tire much more slowly than humans, and can do strenuous tasks for very long periods of time, so long as they are still within the physical capabalities of the Angel/Demon. -Both have superhuman strength. On average an Angel or Demon could lift a pickup truck without much difficulty. -Angels and Demons both take on human forms while among humans, but with the breakage of the first seal they are capable of shrugging off that human form, at least to some extent. While powerful Angels have strange, alien forms that can blind a human by simply looking at them, typical Angels simply appear more beautiful, with a pair of great wings. Demons forms vary much more dramatically. -Any wound suffered by an Angel or Demon will heal rapidly so long as it’s nonfatal. Even minor organs being ripped out will regrow, though this takes longer than simply healing a flesh wound. Angel specific powers include the following: -All angels can heal others, whether human or Angelic, though this ability drains the angel and will inflict a searing pain on Demons, rather than healing them. -They can create a flash of blinding holy light, which only other Angels are unaffected by. -They can make any food or drink safe to eat, even if it was previously completely inedible. Demon specific powers, in contrast: -Demons can burn anything they touch with Unholy fire. It will not spread past the Demons touch, but the scar will always be incredibly painful no matter how well taken care of it is. -Demons can also transfer sickness to any mortal target close to them, including humans, plants, and animals of earth. I’ll be playing one of the Angels, and I’ll set up a main thread along with character sheets when there's players for both of the twins, as well as two each of Angels and Demons. Lastly, this will probably include some amount of mature themes.

I'd say an upper limit of 8. If there's a huge amount of interest I might give it up to 10.
