It has been hundreds of years since The Great War was raging. The war that made all of the great villages ally themselves to beat a common foe. Peace reigned for a while, but as there is no such thing as a Utopia, it was only a few generations till the differences of the people again outweighed the commons.
Now, war rages once more. We know this. We are taught about it at the Academy all the time. We are told of the brave men and women who risk and lose their lives in order to make sure that we, the students, will never see the effects of that war with our own eyes. They fight to bring it to an end, but the end is still so far away that it appears to be merely a fairy tale to help children sleep.
It is hard to believe that the war is really there, when you are just a student inside the safety of not only a major village, but within the protected walls of the Academy, as well. You hear about it, but you never see it.
But the war is there. Good shinobi are dying every day and before long, these sheltered little Academy students will be the ones on the front lines. Before long, they will be the ones risking their lives.
Within the walls of the great Sunagakure no Sato, the youngsters are safer than any other place in the world, with the vast desert surrounding them and some of the best shinobi in the world guarding the gates.
We start on the day of the genin exam. The teams have been made, the jounin have been assigned and all these kids have to do to go from Academy Students to Genin are pass the test their jounin give them.
------
I want only one, maybe two teams of genin with three kids and a jounin to each. I'm very flexible about ancestry and all that and I will allow, and encourage, as much originality as you can muster. Custom clans, techniques and weapons are all good and I'll even let you make your own Bloodline Limits.
I want dedicated players who won't just up and leave, even if there is a lull in posting or the story progression is going “too slow”.
I want this RP to be highly character-centric more than plot-centric so that character developments and relations are in focus.
I'll explain more if questioned and/or when/if the OOC is made.
