Well sadly my time is at an end. I planned to get more done but inspiration got me carried away. I spent a little to much time trying to add detail and continuity. I really like the story we have a good start! I will try to check in a few more times tonight, but plan on tomorrow being the next real development.

Eric still has the stock of your rifle, I planned on him re-balancing it, and giving it a custom fit to your hand, hence the robots scanning it. Also it was part of the plan to throw you out of balance while taking away your second sight and main weapon. But judging from your post you got the message so it is up to you. Do you want Eric to upgrade your rifle and thereby leave you without heavy firepower for this meeting? You can change yours to account for an incomplete gun, or I will edit my post to be continuous with yours. I like the personality btw :)

lol Lullyn, yes he is an abrassive character, it's so much fun! You guy's don't have to go along with what Eric does, I am simply playing out his character. The GM thing only applies to actual plot developments. You guys can decide to gangup and try to bully the truth out of me. But it makes for interesting character development to see how you all react to him adn what he does. Thank you for your post Raven a post a day is actually a pretty good pace. I still want a post from Blackmist before I post the next plot development. I think Ill make it a group post so we can develop a plan and get all that kind of stuff done with one post. Ill write something up today or tomorrow and PM it to each of you with places for you to write in reactions and such and then post it to the IC. Anyone have any good ideas for hwo were going to sneak a ship off planet, or maybe hide aboard one. My secret device is a frequency key that will let us past the orbital defences. I am thinking the ending sequence in this scene is a suprise attack from the military police or whoever Eric stole it from. Something like a frequency key would for sure be tracked or something. (I don't know why Eric wouldn't disable the tracker...) Lets hear some ideas!

Could try charming the guards, depending on their preference depends if Charity or one of your guys would be best ;) That could always be the "obvious" ploy, which they know won't work and that the guard will become suspitious, so they also do a feint to get in through a way they know they'd get caught, leaving 2 of them to actually hit the real target whilst the other 2 are being "told off/having their wrists slapped." If they get caught, that was only the decoy plan. If they don't and the person who is hitting the ploy exit might just get in. Either way, they cover their bases and get what they want. Just a thought, not original but might work.

Well if I'm interpreting this correctly, with the world being a crapsack... Military personel in universes like this are usually people signing up for service to escape a life of poverty. People willing to put their lives on the line for a few extra dollars (military grunts arent paid that well), are probably also willing to accept a few bribes, especially if provided with a plausible and non disasterous reason. So, you could try to sneak onto a ship by bribing a guard, saying that you're a lover/friend of one of the men serving on it. Don't tell him you'll steal the ship, but for someone in poverty, a few credits would probably be worth looking the other way to let his squad-mate get some action. Granted, our characters aren't exactly rich either, but provided we could get a bit of money, that would be an option.

Interesting lol, you both have the same general idea! Bribery is a good way to go. We might do that. I know we have two characters capable of being 'the face', Chastity and Ryan. We will have to get Ryan a nice suit to replace his tattered one but the two of you are certainly capable of distracting a few lazy guard while Eric and Bo sneak in some other way. Or maybe two separate missions, you two can talk your way into the base and locate suitable ship and me and Bo can cause a big BOOM or some such somewhere else leaving you too in the prime position of actually stealing a craft. I like bribery I just want to play of your two characters interesting traits. This all implies that one, or more, of us can pilot. Do yall think it is a standard skill like driving is today, or maybe we need to kidnap somebody... I suppose one of you could have previous experience flying but it would need to make sense since we are slummers, i.e. don't have much money. Keep the ideas coming we can have any mesh or variation of any ideas mentioned so far...

Alternate idea, depending on the amount of soldiers in the military base: Start shooting them. Ok, ok, wait. Hear me out. You start shooting soldiers from various different buildings (using a sniper rifle, a machine gun, anything with range) and what are they going to do? They're going to have to look for you. Having to look for us means coming into the slums, a veritable maze of shacks, sewers, maintenance passages that probably have not been properly mapped in ages. It also means interacting with the slum population. If people are really desperate, a soldier in shiny battle armour with a flashy plasma rifle would be an incredibly lucrative target for destitute people if one were caught alone. I mean sure, a soldier is probably more than a match for a single mugger, but this is the slums. Gangs run rampant in modern slums, it should be infinity worse in a dark and terrible future. Gang fights here and there, along with us shooting soldiers means that their numbers would (while probably not wiped out) start taking enough casualties that they would want to send in the heavy artillery. That means gunships, air support, etc. If a gang war tripped off between the local garrison and the people of the slums, no one would question a single ship lifting off without proper clearance. Pilots would be flying sorties day and night, and with the majority of the base's garrison fighting in a house to house, alley to alley war of attrition, sneaking in would be easy. So the TLDR version: Go full on ruthless psycopath mode and start a war between a bunch of gangs and the military to create a big enough distraction to steal a ship.

You know what, if it wasn't for the fact that I think Eric is a bit of a softy, I think that would be an amazing plan. Problem is now all I can picture is a flash mob -_-

I like it too! But you are right, Eric would never suggest it. So one of will have to. And I will have to figure out exactly what Eric will be doing during this time... Also I think Black is gone, he hasn't been online since his last post, so I will bump the Interest Check and see if we can get a new face.
