Just wanted to ask, will fonts be introduced to the BBcode on the Guild?
Your answer:
This is more a general inquiry rather than an actual question/request: Will there be an option to have different fonts in the near or distant future?
Yes. Some day.

What's the avatar limits?
They're 150 pixels (width) by 200 pixels (height). They should be on the... Oh, @Mahz, you forgot to add them back in on the profile edit page when you made the upload feature.

Theoretically, they're any size. The server will resize your images for you.

That isn't currently on the agenda. The pixel limit was introduced in order to prevent signatures from becoming too large.

Can we have a menu for alternate RPGuild skins/color schemes? For, you know, an attempt at emulating individuality.

Last we checked, scrolling down on signature is possible now. Or at least it was two minutes ago.

The question I have about signature image discussions, large signature images, and the ability to scroll down is 'Why do you need such a large area for a signatures in the first place?' A signature section is really meant for a few short links, a quote or saying and possibly a signature image. Having an area that scrolls down for 10 or 20 lines really does push beyond the boundaries of what a conventional signature section should contain and if you need that much information there are better ways to display that content. First thing I would use is the Bio section as that seems to be an appropriate area for listing such info. I dunno, it just seems silly having mini forms within a webpage with individual scrollable sections for people who wish to announce everything to the world when it's not needed.

Hello, awesome work on the guild guys, looking great. Trivial stuff: When you click 'save' on the avatar box without uploading a picture it takes you to another blank page with nothing but a message, would be nicer if it was a pop up window, little one instead, trivial and not a priority, but just wanted to share it in. Also the current format of the postcount and join date could be better, maybe something like: Posts 9999 Member since 11/11/1999

This, plus the trend for people to put moving GIFs in their signatures, is why I've turned off signatures on the Guild. The experience isn't as colorful or lively, but it saves me a headache and a half.

Yes. Animated Gif images can be annoying. Much better to have rotation systems like we use. Which we should probably update sometime. The images stem from a long-dead RP character.

Speaking of uploading images (this does relate, even if it may not appear to), how constructed are the Guild's security features?

I have a question @Mahz can we get a "mention" button at the bottom of posts so we can just click that and have the mention tag already filled in? Would that be possible?

Latest push: Implemented a co-GM system, available in the edit-topic panel: A roleplay GM can now elect up to two co-GMs which will receive an orange "Co-GM" banner in their posts. It's purely ceremonial for now, but eventually GM/co-GMs will have some more controls available to them. However, it's a strong signal of authority to a roleplay's paticipants since players are required to obey GM/co-GMs (rather than bicker with them). Also implemented a username auto-suggest system which I'll eventually extend to the mention system to make mentions easier.

The avatar system (via ImageMagick) only works on images. Is that what you mean?

Yeah, I had the same idea. I'll add a @Mention button for when all you want to do is @Mention someone. I'll change the text of the "Reply" button to "Quote". It'll also be much better when typing [@ (the start of a @Mention) pops up the auto-suggestion box. Though if it's too hacky to get that to work, I may just add a small input box to the editor that auto-suggests usernames and then lets you click some "Insert @Mention" button to place it into the post you're writing. Note to self: Currently @Mention and @QuoteMention notifications are only registered/sent upon post creation, not when editing a post. https://github.com/danneu/guild/issues/40

That would be really useful, regardless if you can get a drop-down option or not. Just as long as I can click "mention" under a post and get their username to appear in the Reply box (as well as doing multiple mentions to multiple people?) I would be pretty happy since copy/paste can sometimes take you to their page if you're being careless or drunk. ^^

Looking forward to seeing the coGM system. It'll fit perfectly into an rp we got planned.

That not being that way is intentional. You may or may not be aware of this, but a little over a year ago the Guild crashed and everything was lost, so everyone had to start again (with the Guild reopening 408 days ago). As such, everyone had to reregister. However, this means that there would be many people who had been around in the community for much longer than 408 days, for well before the Guildfall. So saying that they only joined 408 days ago and that those are the only posted they made would be misleading. The current format respects that many people have been around for much longer than the current database. If you do want to see a person's join date, it is recorded in their profile (accessed by clicking their username).
