Hello out there in forum land! I'm a new member and still slogging through all the rules, how to use the site, etc. Just testing the waters on what might be available. Very long term, advanced female player who is seeking a partner who - putting it bluntly - can not only keep up with me but has similar interests while also providing the content quality I need to stay engaged What does keeping up mean? You ask. Well: For me, I generally post in the 3-6 paragraph range. Perhaps less in fast paced dialog and more in slower, descriptive scenes. In an intro or when setting up a new location, I can go much longer. All my posts are highly detailed, but are not run on, needless dribble. It's not writing for the sake of filling boxes and saying I can write a thousand words. I genuinely enjoy the creative process and I find that is where I land when writing freely off the top of my head. The other thing that means is that my stories are not just well thought out. They are real labors of love I pour all my creativity into. I want to create a world we can both get lost in and that makes creativity continue to spark well into the process. I pride myself in creating characters that have depth and are also all very different. These aren't cookie cutter pop-ups that represent wish fullfillment on my part. I am really in love with the stories here and the characters are vehicles for delivering them. Okay, so, what are your interests then? To put it simply, my interests are too varied to easily list here. I like things adult (that doesn't necessarily mean smutty, though it can and if you're a grown up and we get along we can talk about that privately later on), but gritty, high intensity, often with coarse language and things like violence and drug use. I like a ton of plot and character development and a parther that can think on their toes. I like Modern as well as Historic play (though I won't do medieval - don't ask) and plenty of sci-fi, futuristic stuff too. Fantasy can be great when handled correctly, but realism is okay as well, so long as there's no de-evolving into Slice of Life. As far as more specific story ideas, I'll do my best to sprinkle in a few ideas that show the broad range without rambling forever. Here are some possible plots as jumping off points. Note: These JUST ideas because some people need them. What I'd PREFER is to discuss and collaborate on an original story. Do NOT complain to me about being limited to these ideas. I provide them because I have to, not because they are all I want to do. Impress me with some creativity and willingness to work together.: - A Vampire the Masquerade inspired vampire who violated the traditions by killing a former lover, and Prince. She is wanted for dead by both the Camarilla authority and her former lovers progeny. This would play in an otherwise modern-realistic backdrop. - A reclusive writer and her new boyfriend - garou (werewolf) she doesn't immediately know is one - face an ancient evil. This would be played in an otherwise realistic setting, but be anything but. This would be an expansive story that requires us to alternate between playing the antagonists and protagonists. An ode to World of Darkness. - In turn of the century, British occupied India, a lone bastet Khan female patrols the perimeter of her people's temple. She's been alone so long she is no longer at all sure there are any of her kind (or even another intelligent being) left - and then... A great white hunter? Another Khan? What is that moving through the brush? - A stripper with a heart of gold, but also a bit of a wild child, lands herself in some real trouble. That senator she danced for and occasionally accepted gifts from may have told her secrets that make others want her dead. She pairs with a gruff, somewhat stuffed shirt detective and goes on the run, trying to save their collective asses while unraveling the mystery of who and what wants her dead. - A girl with a real pension for bad, dangerous boys moves to a new town and tries to go straight. Will she be the bad influence on someone new, a trouble maker in spite of her best intentions, or will they be the devil on her shoulder instead? - A vampire feels a strange calling while on vaca in the Middle East. She had planned only to see the historical sights of her people and visit the spa, but instead finds herself wandering into the desert, then further, into an ancient cave which is the resting place for a god most had forgotten - Caine himself. - A graphic designer entering her thirties seems to have her life in order, but no real time left for love. There's the occasional OKCupid ad or speed dating debacle, but little else. Her life is lovely, ordered, and slightly dull. Until... - An alien homid girl who's people are traditionally kept as sex slaves, private dancers and chained at some mobster's side works as a ship's mechanic to escape that fate. She pairs up with a canid (anthro, if that helps) smuggler who needs a second hand. Space antics ensue. - In 1880s London, the adopted Indian daughter of an accentric Englishman has her sister (father's biological child) kidnapped while they all sleep. There are claw marks on the windowsil and stories about Jack the Ripper in the streets. Her father insists on a private detective, and hand selects a most unusual one. (Admittedly, a bit of an excuse for classic penny-dreadful monster tropes here.) - A well-to-do teenager in the 1950s has always been plagued by intense, realer than real night mares about prior lives. She had resided herself to them, until she meets a boy from the other side of the tracks that shares them with her. They struggle together to change the future away from the patterns of their past. These are just a few ideas - I have many, many more and can also invent on the spot. Here, I'm just trying to provide an idea of the types of things I might be into. However -In most of these there would be a fair amount of adult situations (violence, language, so on) as well as good old fashioned smut. Depending on the idea, this might be different per story or follow some similar themes. I'd be most interested in doing this via IM or email, but I'll be active on the forum as much as I can. Is there ANYONEout there capable of both? Who WON'T get bored when we write lengthy PG scenes or ansy when things switch to something more grown up? Anyone?
