As the sun had not risen one breezy morning, a mysterious fishing boat left the coast of California. Where was it going? Not even the passengers aboard knew. Perhaps they were going to a spot far out in the ocean where the crew would slaughter them. They hoped, however, that they were off to a place most humans could never see.

One passenger sat in the very middle of the boat, staring at the ground so as to avoid motion sickness. He endured the stench of the gasoline and the smell of the bait, which hung in the air despite being kept in a cooler below deck. The boat, though it's motor running slower than before, was still moving steadily forward over the ocean where now no land was in sight.

Then the passenger could take it no longer. The young, blonde gentleman felt his breakfast from that morning and his dinner from the night before rushing upwards through his esophagus. He rushed immediately to the side of the boat, as chunks were blowing out of his mouth and over the railing into the sea.

This passenger, was Mikkish Callanhad.

Aldwine was looking around the boat they were travelling in. It wasn't something as quick as an airplane, but the view was beatiful. She and the others who also had powers were going to an island, where they could train and study magic. She was quite excited, but tried to stay calm.

A blonde boy, however, was rushing through the crowd, to get to the railing. The railing almost right next to her. The few crew members around that part started laughing while other people got away, disgusted. The red head made space for him.

"H-Hey, are you okay...?" The red head asked the boy, searching desperately for help and trying not to look at the contents getting out of the boy's mouth.

Mikkish heard the redhead girl, but didn't have time to respond before more vomit demanded to escape.

A helpful crewman walked up and suggested staring right at the horizon. Mikkish took his advice and his vomiting subsided momentarily.

He looked the redhead girl up and down. 'She is kind of hot.' he thought
"I'm all good. You're part of the crew?"

Aldwine looked away in disgust, 'Gah, why me!?' she thought, trying not to think about the sick guy next to her.

She saw the crew member help him out, before the blonde guy looked at the horizon and seemed to get somewhat better than he was before. She looked into the distance as well, noticing that the island they were supposed to reach wasn't nowhere near them. Aldwine sighed, and that was when the boy talked to her.

"I'm all good. You're part of the crew?" he asked.

"Do I look like one?" The redhead questioned back, one eyebrow raised.

Fin walked across the boat deck, gently nudging an empty crushed soda can with the toe of her black boots as she walked. She didn't get sick often, and water never seemed to bother her too much. Her short black hair caught in the wind, sending the curls away from her sea green eyes. Looking for any signs of land she walked over to the railing and leaned against it.

The salty air filled her nose, making her sneeze into her elbow. This trip had better be worth it- she silently thought to herself as she heard the sounds of someone losing their breakfast on the other side of the boat. Fin let her hands grip the railing until her knuckles blanched white. Fin knew her visible scar and shaved section of her hair made her seem demonic-sadistic, but secretly Fin just wanted company. She didn't even really need anyone to speak to her- she just wanted to feel human.

Steven Riley Burton or Steve for short was leaning against the railing of the ship with his lower arms staring outside towards the skies with his jewel quartz grey eyes wondering how long it would take until the sun comes up. feeling the breeze blow over the front and side of athletic muscle body since he unbuttoned his black shirt. he slowly reaches with his hand towards his black messy hair attempting to get it in model while he shakes his head a bit so his hair looked messy and modeled at the same time

he suddenly heard someone puke on the other side of the ship and he turned around looking at the guys direction. Steven chuckles a bit while he shakes his head a bit and puts his hand in the pockets of his black jeans that fell partly over his black Jordan sneakers. he looked towards the right when he hears the sound of a can getting kicked around by a girl and sneezes "bless you" he said friendly with a small smile before he looks back towards the sky still wondering when the sun comes up

Fin was gazing off into the deep blue water when a male voice caught her attention. She looked up, finding a pair of grey eyes. She studied them for a moment- an odd but enchanting color they were. She turned back to the ocean while a small smile tugged at the corners of her soft pink lips. "Thank you," she stayed softly back to him as she ran her hands across the smooth railing of the boat. The salt had built up on the previously polished metal bars, making the hard metal feel gritty.

Fin hoped they would be off the boat soon. She couldn't stand the feeling of being trapped with no where to roam. From her past came her constant feelin that she needed to move- to stay alert but hidden. Her backpack was at her feet- she had refused to leave it with anyone as it contained her the small amount of belongings she had.

Mikkish quickly forgot about the pretty redhead girl and looked around at the crewmen and other passengers. 'Man, what a bunch of fuckin wierdos.' He thought 'Though what can I expect. A magic voyage? To a magical island with magical treasure?'

But it was real. All real. And yes, it was happening. He was on the boat. It could all be a sham, and maybe they were all going to be sold as slaves to some obscure country, but fuck it. He himself really did have something like magic. He set things on fire. He could be much stronger. And if he was like that, surely he wasn't the only one. Mikkish was full of himself, but not THAT full of himself. Some had to have convinced these other passengers, and if this was a sham, these crewmen were probably in for a big shock.

And then....

Like a light switch flicking on, land appeared suddenly on either side of the boat. Land. The boat was all of a sudden in a wide-enough river. And to each side was land. On this land, a lush, deep jungle filled the surroundings, and mountains could be seen at a distance. This...shocked Mikkish.

"I was guessing you were a nurse for em." the boy said, smirking, as Aldwine's eyebrow twitched. 'What the...'

She was trying to think of what to say back to him, when suddenly land appeared before them.

"What the..." The girl repeated her thoughts, mouth hanging slightly open in awe. And then smirked. "Alright, this could be fun." She whispered to herself, remembering to tell about this to her brother.

The sudden change in scenery made Fin jump back from the rail. The thick jungle made a smile tug at the corner of her lips slowly until a bright smirk appeared. She longed to reach out and touch the amazing view- to capture it in her hand sho she would never forget it. She stepped back up to the railing and closed her eyes softly, the breeze and sunlight making her feel at ease. She tried not to think that there may be some on the boat who could do the same magic she could. It scared her, wishing she knew if there was anyone of direct threat to her. Fin opened her eyes slowly and let them soak in her surroundings like a sponge- it was perfect.

Oh shit, Mikkish thought, noticing smoke rising from a branch which hung above the boat as it passed. It really was a thick jungle, and even on this river the trees shaded the crew and passengers. Not again

Mikkish had always had problems controlling this one form of magic. This one thing called "pyrokinesis." It always scared the shit out of him and anyone present at the moment when things would seem to randomly catch fire nearby. When Mikkish found his book he attempted to control it, but to no avail.

Quickly, the smoke turned to small flames turned to bigger flames. Luckily, the boat moved quickly passed the burning trees. The crewmen looked up in curiosity, but did nothing. There was nothing they could do, and it wasn't really their job anyway.

Suddenly, a loud bang was heard coming from the bottom of the boat. They had hit something, a large, sharp rock, or maybe something man-made and intended to damage the boat. Regardless, the boat was now filling with water and losing its ability to float.

Fin looked up with startled eyes as she found the flaming tree branch. She looked around, trying to see if there was another pyrokenetic here and why they would be lighting a tree on fire. She had been practicing her pyrokineis for two years now and easily remembered a spell to extinguish the flames. After they passed she turned back to the tree and watched the fire die slowly after casting her spell. Just as she was turning back around the host came to a halt. She fell to the boat floor with an audible 'Uumph' and slid partially across the slick floor. She saw the water quickly filling the boat and decided getting off was her best option. She began searching in the distance- something that she could move to make a makeshift bridge to land. She notices a fallen tree- it was thinner but it would have to do. Water was one thing Finley hated and she preferred not to drown on her first day here. Fin focused on the tree, attempting to cast her magic on it, but it wouldn't move. She kept her focus and it inched along the ground for a moment, until the cold water on her anckles made her lose focus and dhr dropped the spell.

Aldwine felt a strong smell coming from nearby, and looked up at the branches of the trees, only to notice it was catching on fire. Her eyes widened, but the fiery branch was quickly dealt with as they passed by it. The girl sighed, but was interrupted when the ship moved suddenly, and Aldwine only had time to hold on to the railing of the ship before water began pouring in. The redhead turned to the nearest crewmember.

"Get the ship to safety and get out of here! Quick!" Aldwine said, before running to the side of the boat and searching for the place where it was damaged. 'There!' She thought, and concentrated on creating a force field around the admaged part. It wouldn't last long, but it was enough time for the crewmembers to take the ship to safety and get everyone out of it. Hopefully.

Fortunately, the crew reacted quickly and brought the ship to the nearby river shore. The shore was of dirt, of course, and the thick jungle stood before them.

A crewman approached Jack, having overheard what he said about fixing the boat.

"You can fix it? Do you really know how?" He asked

Otherwise, the crew would have to walk the rest of the way...through the mysterious jungle.

I had been standing near the back of the boat with a suitcase and an archery case. I looked around the boat and noticed that a boy was sick and was vomiting over the side of the ship. I was going to go over and offer some medication for seasickness. I had never been on a boat, so my mother bought it for me as a precautionary measure. But, before I had the opportunity to go over and offer it, I was shocked by the sudden appearance of land. "W-Whoa..." I said, momentarily stunned, I walked to the opposite side of the boat and looked at the land. I rubbed my eyes, trying to see if this was just an illusion, I pinched myself to see if I were dreaming. Neither worked, the forest was still around us.

I smelled smoke and looked up at the burning trees. "O-Oh no..." I muttered, I looked around at the crew concerned. No one was doing anything. I couldn't do anything either... I didn't exactly have a way of extinguishing the flames. I suddenly lurched forward as the boat seemed to have hit something, or scraped against it. "W-What was that?" I asked, looking around. The ship must've hit something... but what could that have been? I mean... we're in a river, if there were a large rock, surely we would have seen it, or the crew would have been aware of such a thing if they used this route often. I had a bad feeling in the pit of my gut.
