Ordon Music

Ordon Village! A nice Arcadian village, where everyone knows everybody, and nothing really important happens. In other words, it's the perfect place for adventures to start.

Rusl is standing in front of the Mayor's house, talking to Bo. Ilia is tending to Epona next to them.

A red-haired bespectacled young man carrying a book runs towards Rusl and says "Rusl, Rusl! I got the...research you asked for". He opens his book, and inside is an envelope. He says "Good work, Shad!" before he slaps him on the back a tiny bit too hard, causing Shad to wince. He regains his composure instantly, though.

Rusl hms. "Now...where's Link? He should be awake already..."

Hooded and shielded from the sunlight that was shining down on him, Cimmerade's hidden eyes gazed over the village that he had been forced to approach. He didn't know what the place was called and he had to wonder about its position in the middle of a forest, but those facts were unimportant at the moment. In truth, the place reminded him somewhat of his own home; Part of another kingdom but far enough away that they more or less took care of themselves with little to no oversight from the powers that be.

How long had he been running for? There had been very few chances to rest in the Twilight realm itself due to the monsters that wandered it, hunting down those few that remained and his escape to the realm of Sunlight hadn't offered him the repave he had been hoping for. Physically and mentally exhausted but unable to rest at the moment, Cimmerade entered the village silently as he looked around. It wasn't big and contained very few buildings... one of which appeared to be a shop.

Without much fanfare, the hooded and cloaked man closed the distance and opened the door, stepping inside and out of the light.

While Link was indeed awake, he had overslept and hadn't finished breakfast. Knowing Rusl was waiting for him he did his best to hurry without rushing things. As soon as he was done eating he ran out the door and rather than take the ladder down simply jumped.

As soon he hit the ground Link began to run hoping at arrive at the Mayor's house before Rusl would get impatient cause he had no interested in being scolded and and once again told how important delivering the Ordon Shield and Hero's Sword was.

After a few minutes he could see his destination and slowed down in an attempt to hide the fact that he had to hurry as much as he did. Eventually he stopped in front of Rusl and quickly explained why he was late. "Sorry, overslept."

How will Hyrule be saved by such a lazy boy?

Rusl, however, is not particularly unhappy. He says "oh! There you are!" He turns to Shad and says "Link, this is Shad, a...colleague of mine."
Shad offers a hand and says "It's a pleasure to meet you."
He notices an odd figure in the background (Chimmerade). He suspects that he might be a thief, but he decides that it's not his problem. He adjusts his glasses, and turns back to Link.

Aaron had been inside the shop admiring the fine merchandise there when he heard the door creak open and he turned to face the newcomer. Surprisingly for such a pleasant day the stranger was wearing a hood that obscured his face and had a rather serious demeanor. Looked rather tired, not the sort of tired that came from hard work either. More like the kind of tired that someone had from being awake for to long. All in all he looked like someone off of a wanted poster. "Hullo there stranger." Aaron said with the distinctive sound of a Deku in a friendly manner while sticking his leafy hand out for a hand shake, "Name's Aaron, looks like you could use you need a long nap and a good friend."

Not that Aaron could really supply the whole nap thing but generally people took to a Deku asking things better than someone who looked like a criminal. Although Aaron doubted the dubious looking man would accepting his aid, grandmother always said it was better to have someone refuse your help than to never offer it at all.

Having stepped through the door of the shop, Chimmerade had been forced to wait a moment in order to be able to see properly. While he was able to see in darkness perfectly fine, the adjustment from the painfully bright to a more comfortable dark still took a few seconds. Long enough for him to be ambushed by an overly friendly... plant person. A strange sight perhaps, but the land of the living would be a rather boring place without its various oddity's.

The leafy hand hand was taken by a gloved one, the shake surprisingly firm as the hooded Chimmerade tried to measure up this so called 'Aaron'... but exhaustion and the possibly offer of a place to get some rest resulted in a less then optimal examination. "My name is Chimmerade and you honestly have no idea how right you are. The last few days have been rather hard for me and I would do just about anything for a few hours rest without having to worry about not waking up again." His voice didn't quite seem to match up with the image that his outfit suggested; It was a somewhat more informal then his stoic appearance would suggest, but the exhaustion that plagued his body had clearly seeped into his voice as well.

Since he had come in here, Chimmerade took a moment to look around the store while he waited for the plant man's response.

Link took Shad's hand. "Same to you." Even though he didn't know about this glasses wearing kid, if he was a colleague of Rusl Shard had his respect. He also noticed Cimmerade entering the shop but chose to ignore it, after all just because the stranger was wearing armor didn't necessary mean he was looking for trouble and if something did bot Link and Rusl could get inside Sera's Sundries in a matter of seconds.

The trip from Death Mountain to Ordon Village was a long one, but Duncan finally made it. The village was unfamiliar to him, since he'd only been here once, but it still didn't take him long to find the mayor's house. Mayor Bo also happened to be standing right outside, with about four other people. Duncan didn't pay any mind to them. He was only here for Bo.
"Bo!" He called out, approaching the group. "You may remember me from our sumo match a few years back. I'm here for a rematch."

Bo was preparing the Ordon Shield.
It was, honestly, not the greatest example of craftmanship in the history of the world, but the ornamental goat drawing on it was pretty cool. Honestly, it was really just something to hang on the wall.

Suddenly, he heard a voice call out. "Bo!" He turned around, surprised. He then recognized the Goron. It was Duncan! He said "Oh? Are you now? I'll tell you what-let me get Link here ready, and I'll set up the ring for you. We can have a match for everyone in town to see!"

Ilia's tending to Epona, when she notices an injury on the Horse. She frowns and says "Link! You gave poor Epona this jumping fences all night, didn't you!?". In truth, the injury to Epona was sustained when Link went to find Talo when he got lost in the forest the other day.

Bo tries to explain and says "Ilia, please-"

Ilia interrupts and says "Father, how can you be so easy on him? You're the mayor, so start acting like one!" She then takes the horse off to the spring in order to get it healed.

Rusl does a facepalm and says "We...we need that horse in order to make the delivery... See if you can't talk some sense into that girl."

Shad sighs and turns to Link. "Ah, Women. Can't live with them, can't live without them". He chuckles.

Aaron was surprised when the serious man firmly accepted his hand shake. Most people just laughed at him and he was expecting the man to blow him off. Well he couldn't just let the stranger down. "Well if that's the case then you couldn't find a more dependable person than me!' he said confidently. Of course this was a little awkward because he wasn't really sure where he could take a good nap but he manged to keep his composure as he quickly thought of something. "I'll watch over you if you want to take a nap no matter where you go." Aaron said crossing his arms determinedly.

There were some situations in which having someone keep watch while everyone else slept was the smartest idea. After all, if everyone was asleep then if something came by everyone would be screwed. While it helped if the person playing overwatch was known and trusted, sometimes you just couldn't be too picky. "I might take you up on that offer... You wouldn't happen to come somewhere out of the sun that I could get some rest for free would you? I'm afraid that the hardship that drove me from my home has also left me without anything but the cloths on my back."

"Of course I know a place, I'm traveling around myself and in exchange for a couple of chores this nice lady named Pergie let me borrow one of her rooms. She lives down by the waterwheel, come on i'll show you." Aaron said opening the door and heading down the path to his temparary home. The bed was probally too small for him but something was better than nothing right?

There really wasn't much to say; A safe place to rest was being offered and Cimmerade would be a prideful fool to turn it down. Sure, some of the nobility in his situation wouldn't let themselves sink so low as to accept the aid of their so called 'lessers' but there was a reason he had chosen the path of the 'Outcasts'. Following the friendly plant man, the hooded Twili braced himself to go back out into the sunlight. His clothing might have protected him from its harmful effects but that still didn't make dealing with such bright lights an enjoyable experience.

"Thank you. I don't believe many would offer to help a random stranger in need." Cimmerade said honestly.

Without saying anything to Rusl and Bo or even taking the sword and shield Link ran off after Ilia. He wasn't too worried about explaining the situation since he knew she would forgive him either way, but still if possible he hoped not to leave while she was still angry at him. While he was rushing of he did hear something about a sumo match between the mayor and a Goron but as interesting as it sounded, he believed Ilia was more important right now. Eventually he arrived at the spring and without saying anting just waited until Epona's injury was healed and the two most important girls in his life would exit the water.

Near the spring is a gate, leading to a bridge, which itself leads to the Faron Woods.

Standing in the Spring is Ilia, Epona, and Colin.

Ilia says "Colin told me what happened. I hadn't heard the details of Talo's capture". She sighs and looks at the horse "You still prefer your master over me, huh?"

Turning back to Link she says "Well, the injury wasn't too serious. You two can go on together. Link...promise me this? You won't try to do anything...out of your league?"

At that point, a loud horn is heard. Shad recognizes it "That's a Mokoblin War Horn!" he says, in confused horror.

Back at the spring, a group of Mokoblins burst through the gates, riding a boar. Ilia and Colin try to flee. One of them shoots Ilia with a bow, letting out a scream that can be heard in town.

Colin runs back into town, crying for help. "Ilia! They...they got Ilia!"

Then, marching into town comes the Mokoblin king, riding an armored boar. Rusl pulls out his sword, and turns to Shad. He says "Go find the girl. I'll deal with this one."

Shad nods and says "Yes, sir!" and runs towards the spring.

Aaron's ears twitched at the sound of a piercing scream echoing through the air and a small boy running into town crying for help. Torn between wanting to make sure the stranger could get his nap and dealing with this new threat of the Mokoblin king Aaron eyes flitted around quickly looking for a solution seemed he could never help all the poeple he wanted to, "It looks like your nap will have to wait." he said to the stranger, whose name he still didn't know, he should've asked earlier but he had more important matters to take care off. Aaron ran over and stood next to Rusl, "Need some help?" he asked as he took a fighting stance.

When the Mokoblins showed up, Link instantly regretted not bringing the sword and shield along. But rather then waste time and go back for them he drew his slingshot. Just as he got it out Ilia's scream broke his concentration. When he saw the arrow, he quickly figured out what had happened.

With an angry look on his face Link aimed at the Mokoblin holding a bow and shot a pumpkin seed at it, only to realize Colin was nowhere to be seen, hoping the boy went to get help he mentally prepared himself for the battle.

To soon...

As the cries of alarm started to ring out, Cimmerade turned towards the entrance of the village that he himself had used just a few minutes prior, a sickening feeling in his stomach that had nothing to do with the strain of his already exhausted body. His first fear had been that the twilight had already caught up with him, the monsters already laying siege to this town while he was at his weakest. But the beasts in the darkness weren't prone to using horns to signal their attacks...

With Aaron rushing over towards one of the armed villages (No doubt to offer aid; The plant man seemed the sort) Cimmerade considered his options for a moment before moving as fast as he could push himself towards the biggest building in the village in search of shelter from the coming engagement. While turning away from a battle like this felt wrong on a spiritual level, Cimmerade was not an insane fool; He was unarmed and was on the tail end of several days with little to no rest. It was a miracle he wasn't already suffering from hallucinations... then again, he had just been having a conversation with a friendly plant man...

The cold hard truth of the matter was that he was in no condition to be fighting this battle; All he would do is get himself and anyone trying to protect his sleep depraved ass killed needlessly. If the big building had a bow or something in it then maybe the situation would change, but right now the best thing he could do was get out of everyone's way so they could focus on the fighting ahead.

Duncan was looking forward to the sumo match, but that would have to wait. A scream came from the spring, and a small boy came running into town. "Ilia! They...they got Ilia!"
Duncan turned to the mayor. "I'll be back later for the sumo match. This seems more important."
He then ran towards the spring, ready to fight whatever was there.

Bo turns to Duncan and says "Don't worry, we'll take care of this one!" He picks up a sledgehammer that was laying near his house. Rusl turns to Aaron and says "You are brave, but this is not your fight. Go make sure there aren't any more of them towards the north end, where the spring is". They both start to charge towards the Mokoblin King.

...Back at the spring...

The slingshot hits a Mokoblin off of the boar. He mumbles something, and then gets up. He then sees a fricking goron run towards the area, and he jumps. He and the other Mokoblins start to flee.

Shad notices the injured Ilia. He says "Oh no!" before running towards her. He picks her up and drags her out of the water. He gives a quick look over to her injuries, and says "It's a pretty bad wound, but...she'll survive"

He points further north and says "They went that way! We should follow them!" He pulls out his arquebus and starts to head in that direction.
