Spinning out of events currently developing in Young Justice 2022 comes the Legion like you've never seen them before. The year 2022 sees a new band of cosmic misfits enter the expanded RP universe with a bang. Working jobs for the United Planets, chasing down the galaxy's most wanted, and making time for a little bit of adventuring and exploring on alien worlds is all in a day in the life on their ship, the Jumper [piloted by a smaller sized Krolotean]. The Legion does whatever they can to pass the time and try to make an honest living travelling across the stars. They could do some good today. Or things could go bad. Often, it's both.

So the year is 2022 and the United Planets are beginning to take shape across the galaxy with even more opposition than what has been seen in LoSH comics. Sentinel, Supergirl, and a team of cosmic misfits answer the call to defend freedom and the occasional princess in this RP that also sees us taking bizarre missions from the United Planets as well as taking on the occasional bounty on some of the galaxy's most wanted criminals across five sectors. Unlike the LoSH in the future of the DCU, this Legion will have silver flight belt buckles [made from Nth metal from Thanagar] rather than gold rings. And while they can't translate any language, there will be devices all around the galaxy to help with that. Something resembling Skeets.

---------------------------------------------

Rules:

1.) No back-to-back posting.

2.) PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SET-UPS!!

3.) Make sense. If we can't make heads or tails of your posts they're likely to get skipped over.

4.) Get permission before using another player's character in your posts if it involves changing the scene or making actions. Everybody will take beatings in this game in battle however, so don't get pissed if you get punched or blasted into a wall by the bad guys!

5.) Problems with the game or players should be sent directly to me through PM's. I don't want a bunch of bickering in the OOC.

6.) Abandoned characters will be used as NPC's or killed off within the context of the story.

7.) “I was waiting for [insert player/character] to make a move” is not an excuse to not post.

8.) There is no rule #8.

9.) My word is law.

10.) Obey the law.

11.) In the event that I'm offline for any period of time, the deputy GM (Aro) will take control and HIS word will then be law.

GM Notes 3/16/15 :Game on.

----------------------------------------

"Here's how it is..." Alexander said while everyone got settled in as the Krolotean's ship lifted off and began to fly out of the planet Earth's atmosphere...

"We take missions from the United Planets, go after the occasional bounty, just whatever the stars bring our way. Right now, we're chasing after that red ring that just caused all that chaos in California. You still with me, or are you already thinking about going back?" he asked as Supergirl gazed out the window of the star cruiser.

"I'm fine. Just in awe is all." said Supergirl.

"Good. Cause you missed your window to bail about two and a half minutes ago." Sentinel responded.

"This red ring will be the death of me. Despite my powers coming from that whale looking Green Lantern, I don't much care for jewelry that can wipe out worlds. I'd have destroyed it even if the United Planets weren't paying us. With Hob's ship we travel over one hundred and thirty sectors in no time at all on the trail. Then I see it up ahead from the window... Thanagarian starships and about three dozen wingmen. Do they know about the ring... or did one of the boys piss them off somewhere I didn't know about?" Sentinel thinks walking around the ship and coming up to the windows.

Alexander Mason runs to the cockpit as Hob is already preparing for a conflict. He presses the red alert and an alarm and flashing light go off throughout the ship. A worried look comes across the face of their resident super-person.

"This isn't anything we haven't dealt with before, so don't worry. Never this many Thanagarians at once, but..." Sentinel said before the ship took a hit from the approaching starship.

"Ar'asom, how do you operate in space... you need one of the trans-suits in the back? We need your muscle out there!" Sentinel asked rushing through the ship.

The Jumper made its way through the asteroid belt as Hob expertly handled the controls. Shaking from another impact of enemy laser, Hob cursed angrily under his breath as the Thanagarian cruiser continued to give chase.

<"I knew I should have re-stocked the weapons before we took off! But no, we have no funds because someone decided rations were more important than ammunition!"> He yelled.

"That's why you should get a sword. Swords never need restocking. Swords are like. . . infinite ammo." Answered Rane mildly. He had draped himself carelessly over the main passenger seat, the Sword of the Skyfather cradled tenderly in his arms. For a man who was currently a passenger in the middle of a intense, intergalactic dog fight he seemed incredibly calm and composed. It made Hob look even more enraged in comparison.

"Besides, I gave Sentinel an alternative to buying more rations, but he shot me down when I suggested we just eat you. Probably thinks we'd choke on all the lil bones. . . ."

Or maybe he tastes as bad as he smells?

"Equally valid point."

<"WHAT!"> Hob turned around raising his mechanical arm and pointing his welding laser at Rane. <"Try it! I'll turn you into, what was it... barbecue faster than you can draw that over-sized sliver of metal."> The gremlin screamed before turning back to the controls. <"You want a sword! I'll show you a sword!"> He yelled before ripping open the control panel in front of him and pulling a couple fuses before plugging them into other slots.

<"Full power to the forward shields, additional power to afterburners."> Hob slammed the controls down as he back-flipped the ship, spinning it over as he righted the vessel before steering it directly towards the bridge of the cruiser.

Rane's lipless mouth curved up in what could have been a snarl, but was equally likely to be a smile. Either way it wasn't the prettiest of sights. One would be forgiven for thinking that the Canmorian, a self professed lover of battle, had tricked his Krolotean comrade into turning his escape attempt into a full frontal charge. If that was the case then Hob needed to have a good look at his priorities.

That hairless monkey is so malleable. And he thinks he is the smart one.

"He can't help it," Rane said aloud. "It's small creature syndrome. He has much to prove, overcompensating for his small size you see." Talking aloud, seemingly to himself, was quite a common trait for the Canmorian. Just another of his many, many, many curious habits that led to others thinking he was cracked.

You're small for your species, aren't you Rane? Explains so much.

The Canmorian's eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"Quiet Sword. No one asked you."

Oh, don't be like that Rane. But the Lizard man wasn't talking to the weapon any longer, instead fixing all his attention upon the swiftly oncoming cruiser. He still seemed completely at ease, though the fidgeting of his fingers gave him away, talon digits running up and down the sweat-stained leather of the Sword of the Skyfather's hilt.

All around the Jumper, debris exploded as the small ship burst through the cruiser. Wall after wall impacting against the hull as Thanagarian soldiers flew each and every way. All across the controls, the display began to flash and glow red, yellow and various other warning colors.

<"Stupid hunk of junk!"> Hob said smashing his fists down on the controls as the ship came to a halting stop. The vacuum of space behind them suddenly disappeared as the Thanagarian ship's own safety measures kicked in and seal off the hull breach. Winged soldiers in full armor slowly surrounded the vessels as they leveled weapons towards the cockpit.

<"Exit the vessel with your hands up!"> The lead officer said as Hob turned around in his seat. Things had been tense in this region of space since the Thanagarian-Rann war had begun but the United Planets had known what to expect when they sent the ship into this sector. It was missions like this that made hiring mercs like Rane logical.

<"Well, go do your slice-y thing!"> Hob shouted angrily as he walked passed the reptilian man. Retrieving his exo-suit, Hob climbed into his controls as the suit closed around him.

<"I am not being taken down by a bunch of overgrown avians!"> He yelled at Rane.

Ar'asom braced himself as another blast from the Thanagarian's lasers belted the ship. Why is it that we are almost always being chased by someone. What did we even do to them in the first place? He let out a soft sigh, thankful Hob was able to get the ship back under control all the while dodging asteroids until they were free of them.

Out of the frying pan, He pulled up a view of the larger cruiser on a vid screen nearby and watched as it continued to manuever itself out of the asteroid field. And into the fire.

"I would have to agree with Hob on this one. Some ammunition is better than no ammunition." He muttered to himself as he continued to try and recall what it was that they had done to any Thanagarians that would merit the chase from a sector so far away. The answer still remained a mystery however as Sentinel rushed by him, asking how he operated in space.

"I do better with my feet on the ground." He called after Sentinel as he felt the ship lurch and perform a flip, knocking him off balance and causing him to create a rather noticeable dent with his horns. "Well that will just piss Hob off even more after he sees what the Thanagarians have done to his ship. Although he'll probably blame it on Rane." He muttered as he steadied himself once again and returned his attention to the vid screen.

No longer was it the view of the Thanagarian ship still trying to make it's way in the asteroid belt, it was now just the vast emptiness of space. Oh, please no. Don't tell me he's doing what I think he's doing. He thought as he switched to the forward facing view, just in time to see the approaching hull of the Thanagarian cruiser as they crashed into it.

The shield of the Jumper held together admirably, but did little to reduce each jolt as metal slammed against metal before the ship finally came to a screeching halt. Wonder what it was that Rane said to him this time to get this sort of reaction from Hob. Ar'asom once again adjusted the view of the vid screen, finding a group of Thanagarians approaching the ship. His attention was drawn away from the screen as Hob and Rane exited the cockpit, Hob yelling at Rane for him to get outside the ship and do his 'slice-y thing' as Hob was climbing into his exo-suit still yelling at Rane.

"Rane," Ar'asom made his way over to stand beside Rane. "You and your Sword of the Skyfather get outside and do your slice-y thing." He stood beside Rane, stretching and cracking his knuckles. "And I'll make sure that no one get's in your way."

Of course she'd never say it, especially with Sentinel down her back so early on but she did indeed feel a bit homesick if she could call it that. She'd only spent what, three years? as a sentient being on Earth. She didn't exactly lie though, the ship was definitely cool. The stars as blurs, confirming the fact that they were going insane speeds, oddly enough felt freeing. And hey, her parents did tell her to go out and see the world...even if they probably didn't mean it in such a literal sense. If she made the wrong choice swapping out her old teammates for these new ones and seeing so much more of the world, why did it feel this right? She went to adjust her red glasses (would she even need a secret identity in other worlds?) and that's when the first laser hit.

Clutching her metallic chair handles was the most she could do without completely bouncing out of her seat. Her neck jerked in an awkward position which caused some strain. Quickly, she looked out the window and saw the ships. Within view some men with wings. Bird men? They sort of looked like Hawkgirl. Maybe they were her people, but she was kind from what Supergirl knew of the Justice League. Why were they so violent? Supergirl took on a perturbed expression. The alarms began to blare, and Supergirl stood up.

"This isn't anything we haven't dealt with before, so don't worry. Never this many Thanagarians at once, but..."said Sentinel as they were hit a second time. This time Supergirl stumbled before hovering above ground. Raising her eyebrows at him, she still didn't have much of a feel for where everything was on the ship, so she followed Sentinel towards her suit. She had to admit, it was much nicer looking than the one she sported back with young justice. Putting it on, in a whirlwind blur, it definitely felt less restrictive, and the color scheme...it felt like the right shade of blue.

She wasn't allowed a second longer to marvel as she stumbled when the ship came to a halt. "Really doubt i'll get used to this if it's the norm..."She whispered to herself, annoyed. She could hear her teammates voices and followed it on over to...well she hadn't exactly learned their names yet. One looked like a goblin in one of those video games she used to play. Seemed like he was the navigator of this team... Another looked like a gargoyle, carrying a sword, and the last like a demon from Buffy (she loved that show!). Maybe they were the brutes? Or was she? Probably shouldn't judge books by their covers right? It was then that she realized she was being rude by just staring at them when they looked back at her questioningly (although one glare was downright menacing) and so she gave an awkward smile with her eyebrows raised. "So how do we exit this thing then?"

Way to make yourself seem as new to this as you are...She thought. She wanted to sigh right now, just anticipating how awkward this first battle with her new teammates would probably be for her. Maybe she should've just stayed with YJ...

"Slicey thing is it? With my sliver of metal maybe? I don't think you really appreciate me Hob. I refuse to bail us out again, just because your flying wasn't up to the task of escaping these upstanding Thangarians!" Rane crossed his arms resoutly, turning his snout up at the circling bird-men.

Why are you doing this Rane? Don't you want to fight the feather-heads?

"Well of course I do Sword! Remember who you're talking too! Pacifism is a necessary evil here. Imagine how much this will be annoying short-snack over there."

Ahh. Excellent work Rane. I should never have doubted you.

"No. You shouldn't. The Skyfather isn't the only infallible one around here."

Outside the Thangarian's were waiting impatiently for some sign that their demands were being complied with. On their commanders orders they began to edge forwards.

<"GET OUT THERE AND SWING YOUR BLOODY SWORD!"> Hob screamed as he opened the door only for the Thanagarians to edge forward. Quickly slamming the hatch he turned back to Rane. <"Perhaps not that way."> He said as he began to climb the ladder for the roof hatch. Emerging onto the roof, Hob armed his suit as he fired nonlethal rounds towards the winged soldiers.

"<I'm going to steal ammunition from them. YOU GET YOUR TAIL OUT HERE AND SLICE!"> He screamed back down the hatch.

Rane pushed himself to his feet lightly. He strolled towards the hatch, a bounce in his stride that showed his good humour. A low chuckle began to roll out from him, a rough, insistient cough of a sound. The Thangarian's could hear it from beyond the hatch, their resolve begining to falter. There was something about that chuckle, something ancient and sinister. More like a saw going through bone than a release of joy.

And then the hatch creaked open. The chuckling got louder, but no one came out.

"Unidentified crew! Come out and surrender, and no harm shall come to you. Resist and you will be destroyed!" Barked the Thangarian commander, though the quaver to his voice robbed his words of authority. When no answer was forthcoming from the Jumper, save the crackling chuckling. The commander gestured towards the ship, calling to two of his men. "Soldiers. Investigate that vessel!" The two creapt forwards, none to happily. They made it to the hatch without incident.

It's shooooooowtime.

Rane exploded from the ship, Sword of the Skyfather naked and gleaming in the low gloom of the cruiser, his laughter deep and booming now, though no less sinister. The mysterious metal of the blade swung down, sinking into the collar of the first Thangarian, cutting through his bone like bovine fat. Blood burst from the wound, covering Rane's chest and face.

It was beautiful.

The second Thangarian was too shocked to respond, easy meat for the Sword of the Skyfather. Rane's back swing seen him short one head. An improvement to Rane's mind. Without skipping a beat he withdrew the sword and charged the rest of the squad, still laughing like a madman.

And I thought being part of the Legion would be boring.

<"THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!"> Hob shouted as he activated the thrusters on his exo-suit. Uploading the basic schematics for the Thanagarian Cruiser, Hob quickly isolated where the armory was and sped towards the location. Cutting down Thangarian soldiers with his arc laser, Hob burst into the armory. Examing the ammunition, Hob scowled as he cursed and kicked the wall. The rounds would do more damage than good if loaded into the Jumper's weapons. That meant Hob needed to do some work which was going to take time. At least the blood thirsty reptile would be happy. Surrounding a couple of the araments with an anti-grav field, Hob towed the weapons behind back to the ship.

<"KEEP THEM BUSY!"> He yelled as he climbed into the ship. Modifying the guns and getting the engines back online was likely going to take some time.

The ship was crashed into the enemies' much larger star-ship... In no time at all Hob had managed to raid their armory, and Rane and the Varvan called Ar'asom wrecked the wingmen like the beasts that they were. After showing Supergirl the exit, Sentinel and the team were thrown for a loop when the ship grounded on a nearby moon of a much larger gaseous planet. The air was breathable, there was a large river flowing on this side of the moon as well and there were signs it was once inhabited. Crystal like formations like huts built into the sides of small mountains like caves as well as what appeared to be plant life resembling something out of Earth's oceans. The only problem was there was another starship full of wingmen and a platoon of wingmen already at it's side with distance weaponry also touching down.

"If these birds want a fight..." Alexander began saying, "THEY GOT ONE!" he said much louder and constructing his giant form around himself.

He ripped through the top of the Thanagarian ship and began tossing debris at the wingmen approaching with the second starship. Supergirl began fighting grounded wingmen now outside of the ship with the others.

"Rane! Ar'asom! When that other starship lands take out its engines! We need to leave these birds behind if we're going to catch up to the ring before we lose the tracking signal..." Sentinel instructed not really bothered by the sheer amount of violence knowing the Thanagarians have impressive healing factors so most of them should survive.

"A red ring in our possession would end the war with Rann once and for all!" screamed an attacking wingman at Sentinel who smacked him out of the air with a hand slightly larger than the wingman while in giant mode.

Sentinel powered down his giant form after the second starship landed on the moon. To conserve his remaining energies he just used his fists and his chest beam once in awhile to keep from getting outnumbered.

"Where is Freeflow in all of this? Could he seriously be sleeping in his room right now?" the hero thought, "..could he have been left on Earth?"

This stuff from Earth called 'weed' is a hell of a drug...

Not too long after they picked up this Supergirl lady from Earth. Chasing after the red lantern ring and just happening superhero Earthlians. Freeflow took the opening to retreat into his room of the ship for a little personal time with something he picked up from his short trip to the planet. The personal time of lighting up, grabbing stashed away snacks and consuming them like a starving animal, and the resulting nap all caused Freeflow to suffer from one hell of a trip.

Stumbling, literally, out of his quarters of the ship which was covered in a thick cloud of smoke, Similan, or Freeflow to his teammates and the United Planets, coughed a bit before getting himself upright with a hand against a nearby wall. "Aw man that was some good shit... creator be praised!" Freeflow proudly proclaimed, which resulted in his letting go of the wall and holding his hands up. Before his footing betrayed him and he face planted back to the metal ground of the ship.

"Owww... maybe too good." Freeflow awkwardly dragged himself along the ground before finally finding a chair up near the back of the ship where the engines were. Getting a chair to hoist himself up onto as Hob ran past. Though Freeflow paid him absolutely no attention for the moment as he sighed, leaning back in the chair still feeling the effects.

"Oh snap I think I was tripping because I was hearing the ship acting weird, and like I think bird people were pecking at my window." Freeflow was not really telling Hob but just saying aloud.

Ar'asom stood beside Rane as Hob finished situating himself inside his exo-suit as the new girl they had picked up made her way to stand with the rest of them. What was it they kept calling her on Earth? Supergirl, that's right! He turned his head to look over at her only to be meet with her staring back at them, it was to be expected though. If he was being honest with himself he would have probably stared himself. A former Canmorian cleric with startling red tattoos covering his face and body and a sword as long as he is tall, A Krolotean with a cybernetic arm, a human who gained his powers from a Green Lantern, and himself, a bodyguard for hire with the appearance, of what he understood on Earth, to be a demon. He could only guess what was going on inside the poor girls head having been pulled from a strange life on Earth to an even stranger one in space.

"So how do we exit this thing then?" She asked with her eyebrows raised and an awkward smile that interrupted his thoughts, he then realized he had been staring back at her, the others included. She's new, and obviously afraid of messing things up. Everyone seems to go through the same feelings when trying something for the first time. Trying to help her feel not so out of place among them Ar'asom smiled at her, then quickly remembered how he must appear to her and instead spoke quickly as Hob began to open the hatch of the ship. "Just stand back and watch."

The hatch had only opened about halfway before the Thanagarians outside began to advance on the ship, forcing Hob to slam the hatch back shut again. "Perhaps not that way." Hob said as he left the hatch and made his way to the ladder leading to the roof's access hatch. I suppose that leaves us with this hatch and the approaching enemies. He could feel another smile spreading across his face at the prospect of a descent fight as Rane pushed himself to his feet and strode to the hatch. Above them he could hear the roof's hatch opening and Hob firing nonlethal rounds into crowd of Thanagarian soldiers around the ship. "I'm going to steal ammunition from them. YOU GET YOUR TAIL OUT HERE AND SLICE!"

That was all Rane needed to hear as a low chuckle began to escape him. I had hoped that the new girl wouldn't have been introduced into Insane Rane so quickly. He turned to look back over at Supergirl. "You may wanna stay inside the ship for a few minutes before following him." He said jerking his thumb towards Rane as he slowly opened the hatch, the creaking hinges and Rane's low, rough chuckle rising in volume began to cause more of a sitr among those gathered outside. "Sorry, kid, but things are gonna get kinda messy on your first day with us." Ar'asom said turning his attention back to the matter at hand.

Outside a commander ordered the Jumper's occupants to exit the ship, and with no response besides Rane's bone chilling chuckle he ordered two men to investigate. This isn't ging to end well for them. He thought as Rane burst though the hatch, the chuckle a deep, booming laugh now that sent chills through everyone not accustomed to it. The first swing of Rane's massive sword finding it's mark in the nearest Thanagarian's collar easily slicing down into his chest sending a spray of red over Rane's chest and face obscuring the tattoos covering his body. I'm not sure who I feel sorry for more. The Thanagarians, or Supergirl. He thought as he stepped in front of Supergirl to block most of the view as Rane pulled the sword free and with the back swing seperate the second Thanagarian's body and head.

"THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!" Ar'asom could hear Hob screaming from atop the ship as he began to use his thrusters on his exo-suit to fly over the Thanagarians as Rane cut through more and more of them. After a few moments the Thanagarian commanders had finally regained their senses from the sudden onslaught of Rane and were beginning to take control of the situation by having the men on the outer fringe of Rane move around to try and flank the lunatic with the sword.

"I wish I could stay in the ship with ya, but looks like I better help that maniac out." Ar'asom looked back at Supergirl, he would have to ask her what her name is later, he couldn't go about calling her Supergirl all the time. "If you do decide to step out there, watch your step." He said as he stepped through the hatch, and into a puddle of blood that had formed from the first two Thanagarians. Damn. He thought as he stepped over the puddle with his other foot leaving a single red footprint wherever he want. Wished I'd have taken my own advice.

He made it to the edge of the ring that had formed around Rane without stepping into any more of the blood and grabbed the nearest Thanagarian by his arm and began to spin, using the Thanagarian as a weapon, slamming him agaisnt several of his friends before letting him fly through the air and crash into a few more, as Hob flew back over them towards the Jumper, yelling for them to keep them busy. This is gonna turn out to be a pretty descent fight. He thought as he grabbed another of the Thanagarians as they were all thrown around from a sudden jolt as the Thanagarian's ship they had crashed into crashed onto a nearby planet that had caught it in it's gravitational pull. The crash caused the ships hull to crack apart giving a view of the moon or planet they had landed on in some places, as well as giving Sentinel plenty of room to use his powers as he formed his giant green construct around him.

"Rane! Ar'asom! When that other starship lands take out its engines! We need to leave these birds behind if we're going to catch up to the ring before we lose the tracking signal..." Sentinel instructed as the second of the Thanagarian's ships began to touchdown not far away from the crashed ship, with more Thanagarians pouring out looking to join the fight already taking place.

Another smile spread across his face as he looked out at the scene. A pretty descent fight indeed. He swung the Thanagarians he had been holding onto and threw him into the oncoming forces knocking several more to the ground as he began making his way to the new ship.

In one word, the beginning of this fight could be summed up. Startling. The tattooed, dragon-gargoyle like guy... laughed so creepily. It was as if he lived for war, actively sought it out. He sent the sword straight for a Thanagarians chest, blood spraying onto him, and right before the demon blocked her view in attempt to shield her from it, Supergirl could have sworn she saw a grin. She didn't know how to handle it. "If you do decide to step out there, watch your step." was the only thing she heard before snapping out of it. He was out the hatch, and so was she.

Hovering past the puddle of blood she saw and the footprint confirmed her nightmare. She had never killed someone back on earth or even associated with people who did. Her family taught her to control herself for the sake of others. Could she really be responsible for the death of another? And did this team condone such behav-...She wasn't able to finish her thought as she was sent flying by a thanagarian. Another quickly flew around and grabbed her by her arms. She weakly tried to ask why they were attacking them but unfortunately they couldn't be reasoned with, as she was punched once more in the face.

Getting hit in the face by the Thanagarian repeatedly was all she needed to realize she had to adopt an us or them mentality although she still wouldn't use lethal force. This wasn't her home, and this place sure didn't follow by her families rules. Each strike and blow to her face was proof of that. Feeling a rage that she'd never known swell up from her core, the Thanagarian holding her down was surprised by the might she had, and he was sent flying into the crowd of soldiers. The one punching her got a swift kick as well into the crowd. She knew here she didn't have to hold back as much as she previously did, which would work wonders for her newly realized pent up aggression.

A branch split off from the the rest and took to the sky for an aerial onslaught. Supergirl decided to bring the fight towards them flying upward with a small TK forcefield to give her just enough wiggle room to suprise attack them. Gliding through and knocking them from the sky sometimes two at a time, some fell onto the side of her teammates path.

"Damn..." she sighed at the wingmen, "..broke another nail..."
