Personality: Yuki's a very bland person with a very bland life. She has both parents, a doctor and a nurse, who are away most of the time, but have raised their daughter well. She picked up the book out of boredom and hopes something exciting will come out of it. So far she hasn't killed anybody, but did the deal for the eyes out of curiosity and a change of pace.

Shinigami's Personality: Dying of boredom just as much as the carrier, Maije tends to whine from time to time at Yuki for her to stir some trouble, but so far has been ignored, except an orange now and again to keep quiet. Maije is also very interested in the human world and the way they interact with another (mostly customary rules like bowing and the idea of marriage.

@xXSINXx A couple things wrong with both your posts, first off, humans have no knowledge of the deathnote and wouldn't think that it may be a fake copy of the real deathnote, nor do they know anything about shinigami actually existing. On top of that, the books were dropped recently, and after being touched, the deathnote belongs to that person until they die or give it up to the shinigami, so it wouldn't be in a bookstore.
