" we won't make it far with out the stuff i have in my cache in near the old church. that is our next stop then we can make up our minds on where to go after that." Shadow looked around real quick and then the started to run north west again. he smiled and then jumped from the ground up to a ladder and climbed to a roof so that he could get to his destination that much quicker. he checked behind him just to make sure that aery was still with him.

Aery gave him a rather ironic thumbs-up. She was having fun, honestly, racing along after Shadow. Then she realized where they were going and balked, not thinking she'd have the strength, nor willpower, to jump across the roofs, not after what she'd just been through. But she forced herself up the ladder and onto the rooftop to stand beside him. "I hope they don't realize we're up here." She muttered. "Or else we're both dead before you can say "Archery."" She giggled rather insanely. "This is certainly an adventure."

" if you think you can't make it stay here and i will be right back with all the stuff in my cache." shadow said with a smile as he ran to the edge and then jumped to the next roof. he kept this up till he was by the church and then he dropped to the ground and slipped behind the building. he tapped a fake part of the wall and pulled it away to show all the potions and weapons that he had stashed there.

Aery shook her head. She'd make it even if it killed her. Taking a running, flying leap, she made it to the next roof with about five feet to spare. "Okay?" Soon she was leaping almost as nimbly as Shadow.
She gasped when she saw the sheer quantity of weapons and potions and stuff. "My god, how did you get all that stuff without Celaena or Rowan noticing?"

" did you even notice me in the city at all?" Shadow asked her with a smile. " if you did your the only one that did. all the others ignored me so i did what i do best. i built weapons and crafted potions. i bought all the materials on my own so i'm set ahead of the rest of the group. i don't have to worry about buying stuff like they do." he started to take everything out and put it into a travel bag.

Aery thought of that. "Ame..." Her voice seized up, and she cleared her throat. "Ame noticed you a few times. She was always chattering about the bits of your magic that she'd find all over the place. I saw you exactly once. You had bought an apple from a fruit vendor, and the market was really busy, and we made eye contact for like a second and you smiled at me." Then she bit her lip, lest she blurt out anything else emotional and stupid.
Wordlessly she helped Shadow gather up the remaining potion bottles, carefully tucking them into separate pockets on the bag so that they wouldn't clink against each other and break.

"well i was still was seen but i did better than most would. i avoided the main group most of the time." shadow said as they finished and he closed the back and put it on his back so that he could carry it and quickly get out of there with them. " we need to get out of the city now. or else we will risk losing all of our hard earned equipment by being caught and killed by the guards."

"Not killed. Never something so merciful and ultimate as death." Aery muttered, rubbing at the fresh, raised scars on her bare arms. She readjusted the quivers of arrows that she had over her shoulder, shifted her longbow around, and finally straightened up, giving a thumbs-up to Shadow. "Once we're out of here, then what?"

Shadow looked around to make sure they were still alone and then walked out into the street before saying "i don't know when we get out of the city but i know that we will be fine once we get out." he walked out towards the gates to the city and made sure that he didn't draw any attention to them.
