No plates, no forks, no knives, no spoons...It was all so different from what he was used to he did not know how to react at first, after a few seconds he smiles and took the sticks and tried to copy what Ashar was doing.
He tried the meat first.

This is delicious, you sa you are not good at cooking but you are much better than me...I'm counting on you to cook for me everyday!"

Galard said before eating the vegetables

Ashar blushed brightly at his words and looked down. “I…I guess I could …but…” She looked around for a moment. “What will you do if I’m not here to cook for you? You need to know how to cook.” She looked slightly worried about it. “Even some of the vegetables on this island are dangerous to eat raw so you need to know how to cook them.”

"Oh then I want Lady Ashar to teach me everything there is to know about this place"
Galard said flirtfully but before he could do any more moves many villagers came to see the foreign man.
They all were speaking in a language Galard could not understand

Ashar blushed a bit brighter and quickly looked away from him. Through the open doorway she could see a crowd of people surrounding the entrance. Ashar let out a sigh, “Excuse me.” She said standing up before walking over to the crowd of people. She spoke to them with a very calm and collected voice only to have the response be a dozen voices all telling her something different. She glanced back at Galard before turning back to her people and shaking her head. She seemed to give them an explanation and slowly they departed from the doorway one by one until everyone was gone.

Ashar let out another sigh and made her way back to the center of the room. “They all wanted to ask you questions. I told them they would have to wait until tomorrow since you need to rest.” Her father’s words played back in her head for a moment before she quickly opened her eyes. “Oh! Yes! I was supposed to offer you something to drink. Would you like something?”

Galard tired not to think in what kind of stupid questions the villagers had prepared for him, instead he continued eating the vegetables until Ashar offered him something to drink.

"Sounds good, give me...your favorite drink"

Galard said with a smile, having a princess as friend would be great advantage and he knew that perfectly,so he had to do his best in order to win her favor

Ashar thought for a moment. “My favorite drink…” She walked out of the house and onto the patio where a guard was waiting. She spoke to him for a moment and after some argument he left. While she waited for the guard to return she spoke with the other one in a rather cold tone as if trying to sound more experienced and older than she really was and bugging him about his attitude towards the outsider. This argument was rather one sided as the princess attacked the guard and he simply answered formally and with short sentences.

Finally the guard came back and with a single word of appreciation to the guard she took the jug from him and went back inside. Proudly she presented the clay jug and placed a cup in front of him, pouring him some of the liquid. “This is some alcohol that we make here from the berries in the area. Please tell me what you think.”

Galard look at the liquid inside the cup, it looked as any other wine he had seen before.

"It looks good"

He said before drinking, and soon as the wine got into his mout he could feel as if his insides were burning, however he did his best to not say the wine was horrible.

"It's delicious"

Galard said with his best poker face.

"I was expecting juice though, I prefer not drinking much alcohol"

He said expecting not having to drink that damn wine ever again

Ashar’s eyes widened and she bowed her head to him. “I…I’m sorry. It is our specialty drink and I’m sure my father would have wanted you to try at least one cup. I’ll go get something more suitable for you.” She said, quickly taking the jug and the cup and running out of the house. The guards seemed to yell something at her and she yelled something back, running off into the distance.

She came back a while later with a new jug, this one in a greenish color and a brand new cup. She put on her best smile for Galard as she placed the cup in front of him. “This one is juice. Sweetened naturally but…” She thought for a moment. “If this one isn’t to your liking either I can just get you some water.” She said, giving him a big fake smile, as she got a little worried.

Galard felt bad he has made her go and bring another thing to drink, but it was for her own good, Galard always got really flirty when drunk much more than when he was sober, and he knew he had to be careful around this people, he didn't know any of their customs traditions...maybe he could get beheaded for flirting with the princess.

Galard looked at the green liquid and took a sip.

"This...this is really good!"

He said cheerfully, before he realized it he had drank all the juice in the cup

While she watched him take the first step she held her breath, hoping that this drink would go down better with him. When he gave his approval she let out a sigh of relief and help up the jug. “I’ll pour you some more then.” She said with a big smile on her face as she refilled his cup. This had been her favourite drink back when she was a child and now that she was older she was allowed to take part in some of the steps and ceremonies that went into making the drink.

Galard continued eating and drinking without problem, once he finished he ripped off part of the leaf and used it to clean his mouth.

"Thank you for the food, it was delicious"
He said with a smile, he continued looking around for a few seconds before helping to clean the cups and other things.

"You cooked so let me take care of this"

While Galard had finished eating, Ashar had fetched a bucket of water with what appeared to be suds and placed it on the porch. When he offered to do the dishes she stared at him with wide eyes and shook her head. “I couldn’t let you do such a thing. You’re my guest so I couldn’t let you do them alone. But I wouldn’t be opposed to you helping.” She said with a smile. Taking one of the cups she dunked it in the suds and wiped it down with a leaf before putting it on another leaf and out in a bright spot of sun to dry. “Like this.” She said, smiling as she taught him to wash their dishes. She was terrified that if she left him alone he would break all of their nice pots and cups.

Galard followed Ashar's instructions carefully, he felt a little embarrassed she was teaching him such simple things but could not help but to smile at her.
Once they finished washing the dishes Galard gave a few steps outside the house, he looked at the guards, they were waiting for Galard to do something to the princess.
Galard sighed and looked around, he watched the people come and go, they all seemed to be bussy yet happy

Ashar smiled and looked up at the sky. “What would you like to do now? There is a bit of time left before nightfall.” She thought for a long moment before speaking again. “Should I leave you to rest?” She asked. The guards seemed very eager to lead the princess back home, but Ashar wanted to learn more from the stranger, though was unsure if he was alright with telling her any more today.

Galard sighed, he was tired, he never felt that tired but at least he would have a roof to sleep under.
"My lady, I'm ashamed to say I am too tired to keep going. Would you mind teaching me about your village tomorrow?"
Galard asked with a tired smile, spending time with the girl was great and all but he was too tired.

Ashar smiled and nodded. “Of course.” She made her way to the door. “Your bed is in the corner.” She said pointing to the structure made of strong sticks with a couple of animal pelts to make it soft. She gave him another smile. “It shouldn’t be a problem at this time of year, but if you get cold, you can come to the Chief’s house. It’s the biggest house and is in the middle of the village, near a big fire pit.” The guards looked a bit worried that the princess was giving him such an invitation but she didn’t see any problems with it. “Goodnight Mr. Galard.” She said leaving the house, the guards outside of the house accompanying her back home.

Galard did not waste any second and got covered with an animal pelt, he stared at the ceiling while thinking about all that had happened during the day, the king, the village, and specially the princess.
It just took him 4 or 5 minutes to fall asleep.

The foreign did not have any kind of dreams at all, or at least he did not remember them when he got up, he slowly got dressed and walked out.

"Everyone seem to already be awake"

A young woman came into Ashar’s room in the morning. “Princess. It’s morning. It is time to wake up.” Ashar groaned and pulled the pelt over her head. The woman laughed and tugged at the pelt. “Come on princess. You have duties to attend to this morning. Our guest needs you. Someone needs to save him from the avalanche of questions he will get today and guide him through it.” Ashar let out a sigh and sat up, letting out a loud yawn.

The woman rolled up the pelt and put it over her arm. “There you are. Now get dressed, some guards are waiting to escort you to his house, and they don’t look to happy about it.” With that she walked out of the room, leaving Ashar on her own.

After getting dressed she made her way out of her house and to the food shed, grabbing a basket and filling it with different types of fruit. After that she made her way to the house and knocked on the door frame. With the warm weather of the area, there was no need for an actual door on the houses, instead some houses had leaves or pelts covering the doorways for privacy instead and some had enough trust in everyone that they had their doors completely open to everyone.

“Mr. Galard. Are you awake?” She asked, peering into the house.
