I'm working on an original RP idea, but I keep seeing all these good RPs die due to lack of attention. Is there any good way to get that first click without shamelessly "buzzfeeding"?

Interest Check and OOC Formatting

Have a read, that'll help with formatting, or are you referring to the RP idea/theme in general?

Thank you, this was very informative. : )

The one issue that still bothers me is the fact that, since my idea is original, I can't just *insert popular anime/videogame title here". Unfortunately, these seem to interest people the most.

Titles are hard. I try to avoid them whenever I can. :P That, and in 1x1 it generally doesn't matter too much. My advice, keep it simple.

If it's fantasy, this may or may not be a formula that works.

'The (character/species/role/conflict) of (setting or important NPC quest giving position)'

Just pick the option that gives the most information in the fewest words, or that might incite people to click because they want to figure out what that word means(<this works for me, might not for anyone else...).

If it's not fantasy... I got nothing.

Pick something that fits. A title doesn't much interest me.

but as an example. I've named

Fantasy Rp: Imagined World of Allaria. Which references the map.

Zombie Rp: Dead Man's Hand - a reference to dead things

Psychological Horror: Butterflies' Wing - Reference to the villains fear.

Bleach RP: Rising Stars - reference to the new generation of Soul Reapers

It's a dark fantasy about the afterlife. Characters awake in a twisted realm full of chaotic creatures that have stolen their memories, and they must join a force known as "Heavenly Hellbound" in order to train enough to slay the creatures and find out the causes of their deaths. They have been given abilities based on their method of demise, and their lives took place in modern, real-world times.

Obviously, this is no where close to a full summary. I've been considering "Synthetic Providence".

Your idea sounds well thought out, but you may need to think of how others will interpret it and what sort of freedom they will hard. Often when I'm looking at an original idea I try to see what reference it has to something else that I have seen or experienced. For example, I'm in an RP off site that's like Avatar except the nations are planets and it's semi futuristic.

Sometimes original ideas are very difficult to get off the ground, so just be prepared for that.

Synthetic Providence sounds more Sci-Fi.
