Finally decided to see to this. For the confused- Hi, I'm Saltwater. You can also call me Slice (for those who frequent the Pad, that is my username on there). Haruna gave me permission to make a character and requested that I make a Nagaten Teacher, so I have made a character that is a Nagaten Teacher. Hopefully it is not too atrocious. Looking forward to playing with you all!

Biography: Katelyn grew up in Rome, born to an Italian father and a Japanese mother, in the very heart of the Catholic Church. Her father was a Magician, but only in the vaguest sense; he primarily utilized magic for small utilities and sought little to use it for personal gain. He could have done so, he always told her, but as somebody who could use magic he felt it was more appropriate that he use it discreetly in order to help others. That, and he made a point of trying to stay out of the Church's eye sight as a mage. Something that was made much more difficult when it was discovered that Katelyn had the body of a Saint.
When they had stumbled upon this, the Church insisted that they be allowed to take in and raise Katelyn "so she might do God's work with her gifts." With little room to refuse them, her parents sent her away with nothing but warm wishes. What she soon discovered, however, was that the Magicians being educated by the Church fell into one of two categories; they were either learning magic as a means to gain power for themselves out of jealousy for someone else, swearing that they would "show them good" with their magic once they were done, or they were gifted in the art and were seeking to emphasize their superiority and feed their "holier than thou" attitude. It disgusted her. And she swore, to nobody but herself, that she would not become like them. And yet, it seemed the Church intended for her to do just that; whenever she brought up that she wished to use her abilities to help people, she was given disappointed or disgusted looks. Many of the officials and instructors seemed to want her to swear her life to crusades or upholding God's law on earth, or other such nonsense. In hindsight, her choice of magical source, a deity from Greek Mythology, was likely an attempt to spite them over such things.
The final straw came, however, when Katelyn was 23 years old. While on a walk through Rome, she happened upon a horrifying scene. In the street near St Peter's Square, she witnessed a group of men publicly flogging an elderly mother and her children, demanding their repentance. With little thought, she stepped in. With the physical capacities she possessed as a Saint, she easily overpowered the men, despite their use of magic to try and fend her off. When she had brought them to their knees, she realized that the men she had subdued were some of the Magical Instructors from the Church who had been so savagely beating the woman and her family because she had been unable to give the Church what they had deemed a "satisfactory offering." Realizing the corruption in full and understanding that she had sealed her own fate within the Church, Katelyn fled Rome. She sought refuge in one of the few places on earth where the Catholics would hesitate to attempt to reach her- Academy City, in her mother's homeland. Upon explaining herself and her intentions to a representative, she was allowed to take up residence in the City, with the condition that she be employed at one of the schools as a teacher. Naturally, she agreed.
Personality: [Sacrificial] Katelyn is the kind of person who has been gifted with a lot of qualities over her fellow man, but isn't particularly fond of it. It's her belief that those with gifts have a responsibility to shepard and protect those without, but she also knows that very few others share this view, choosing instead to use their gifts to lord over others. Because of that, she feels a lot of pressure to not be like them and show the people around her power like hers can be used for good. It's a pressure she doesn't like, but she bears it all the same. That said, she's generally a cheerful lady who helps those in need and greatly dislikes fighting... but God help anybody who stirs her to battle.
Likes: Cooking, Reading, Music, Horseback Riding, Teaching.
Dislikes: Fighting, Superiority Complexes, People who don't eat her cooking, Problem Students

Horse Care & Riding
Magic:
Katelyn draws her magic from the mythology of the Greek god Poseidon, which grants her spells power over both earth and water.
-Water Spells: Katelyn can harness nearby water with her magic to wield against her enemies. She does this in the form of long-ranged attacks that use water globs as projectiles or crushing waves if enough water is at hand, as well as watery barriers for defense.
-Earth Spells: Drawing on Poseidon's governance over earthquakes, Katelyn can turn the ground itself into her ally with her magic. Her earth spells allow her to shake the ground under herself, open fissures, raise rock spires, and empower her melee attacks with the force of an earthquake.
Stigma: Being a Saint grants Katelyn physical capabilities far above the average human's.
Because of her Sainthood, Katelyn has a much larger than average mana pool.
(Note: If you'd really like me to list out specific spells, I can do that. I was just feeling a bit lazy by the time I got to this point).
Theme Song(s): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mctBtggD_1Y
Extras: Katelyn is a pacifist and won't get involved in conflicts unless she herself or her students are in danger, there are innocent bystanders being put deliberately at risk, or the Catholics are involved. Outside of those conditions, she'll either stay out of it, or try to resolve the problem without violence.
