It's the year 1862. The world is in chaos as the first steam engine has just been invented, and the balance between magic and machine is once again off.

There are five kingdoms: the northern kingdom, the eastern kingdom, the western kingdom, the southern kingdom, and the center kingdom.

To the north is full of mountains and pine forests. Dragons lurk up there as well as the feared Jabberwocky (see Aloce in Wonderland). To the east are seasonal forests and prime farmland. To the west are dry deserts. Many creatures have adapted to survive in the harsh territory. There are cities made of clay and people who roam the sands. The center kingdom was composed of fields and farms. But people took over, and the whole kingdom is a giant city now. A kingdom comprised of green emeralds and machinery. (see the Wizard of Oz). In the south fishermen dwell. The cities are few and small. The people there are uneducated with worldly matters.

Our characters dwell in the northern kingdom. That way we get a good start, all in the same area- (they don't have to live there, they can just be traveling)

Your character is trying to complete their fairytale subconciously, or already has lived it, and is living the life after "happily ever after". At the same time, the conflict of magic vs. machinery is beginning to worsen. People think machinery should replace magic. And others believe that magic is too old to replace and that machinery is unnatural.

Pick a side, and hold on as our world plunges into one of war, chaos, and happily ever afters.

Clarification: your character should be the character of a fairytale. Please state what your character's stance is on magic vs. machinery.

(Meet Sivan- the Mad Hatter. He is pro-magic)

Sivan put his teacup back down on the garden table, and looked at the snow around him. "What news do you have to bring this time?" He asked quietly.
The Cheshire Cat frowned. "There has been a new invention created. The steam engine. It has the Emerald City in an uproar."
Sivan's flickered towards the cat for a moment, then rested on the gray sky. "And of the Red Queen?" He asked.
The Cheshire Cat sighed. "Things do not look good. The rebel group is not the same since you left."
"We've discussed this before. After what the queen..." He grimaced. "...made me into...I would bring only more trouble to you."
"You don't need to stay up here all of the time. There are plenty of werewolves that live in civilizations. Living alone in this castle will not help your situation."
"To leave, so that I can be discriminated and thrown in a prison...I think I'll stay here." Sivan replied, leaning back on his seat.
Cheshire shook his head sadly. "March Hare and I are here for you...I'll come back on Friday." And with that, the large cat disappeared.
Suddenly, incredible pain overtook Sivan, with such force, he didn't realize he had fallen, until he was laying on the ground. He gasped, his eyes turning to the bright gold color of a wolf's. His fangs slowly grew, and his gasping turned into snarles. It was the time of the full moon already?
No. He had to get a hold of himself. He struggled to get up, and trudged to the large, heavy doors of his castle. Before he knew it, he was in his room, throwing himself on his bed. "The red queen..." He gasped, wet from sweating so much. "She will pay for this..." Everything went black.

(This is Maisie, also known as Little Red Riding Hood she doesn't hate magic, but guns and weapons have always been more useful for her.)

Maisie leaned calmly against a tree trunk and closed her eyes. They had gone somewhere, though she wasn't completely certain where. She tried to blot out the noise of her breathing. Eventually, the sounds of the forest crept into her ears.
She could hear the dark chirping of the crickets, and the soft hissing of the wind blowing gently through the leaves. But where are the wolves? She wondered. Jack had been running ahead, said he had to check something, and then... silence. This dreadful, awful, silence. The wind, the crickets, the trees, they made noise, but they couldn't fill the hollow emptiness in the air... With a start, Maisie realized her hands were shaking. If she hadn't been forcing herself to stay quiet, she would have chuckled. She wasn't afraid of anything... almost.
After that indecent at her grandmother's house all those years ago, nothing could terrify her. After being forced through such horror at such a young age, instead of curling up at home and refusing to go outside, she dedicated her life to never being defenseless again. It had taken a little work, but Maisie had trained herself day in and out to become the sharpshooting legend she was now. As long as she had her cape and her pistol, nothing could touch Maisie's heart with fear.
But now, here she was trembling, her blood red cap draped around her shoulders and her pistol clutched tightly in her right hand. Why was she trembling? It's because, for once, I don't know where anything is... but I can feel it... watching me. She thought, shivering.
Suddenly, a loud crack sounded just behind her. Maisie span. Only a few feet away a huge growling monster had been crouching. It stood on it’s two hind paws and bared it’s teeth. Maisie didn't even wait to see what it was. She screamed, and ran. With a howl, the monster shot into action and started chasing her.
Maisie dashed haphazardly through the trees. Vines and branches were whipping past her face, but she didn't try to avoid them. She was running in blind terror. Agilely, Maisie skipped over a tiny brook. Moments later, the echoing splash of the monster still chasing her reached her ears. Gasping, Maisie grappled at the strings of her red cloak. So maybe the magic no longer worked, but she had to try!
Being so busy with her cloak, the girl didn't notice how far through the forest she had run. Within seconds, she burst out of the underbrush, and tripped on a large root. Balance lost, she stumbled, then tumbled out onto a main road. About twenty feet away, a carriage loomed in front of her.
“HELP ME! PLEASE!” She screamed. (Done)

Sivan's eyes shot open. He sat straight up, his ears picking up the sound of a girl yelling for help. He snapped his fingers, and insantly disappeared, appearing in front of a girl, who was sitting, frozen, in the middle of the road. He instantly caught hold of the situation, and put his hand on his wrist. *Snap*
They appeared just off of the road. "What the bloody-" He began, but, realizing the girl was as white as a sheet, and trembling profusely, he stopped himself. "....Are you alright?" He asked.

"I am Kitsu, The Fox Sister. You may not know me, but I am all in favor of the Mechanical Revolution"

Kitsu sat at a table at a restaurant, knife and fork in her dainty hands, slicing and devouring the juicy, bloody steak in front of her. She smiled, swinging her legs under the table. She had been thinking about her brother. He was the only one of the three who was still alive. The other two where dead. And to her brother so was Kitsu. She had killed the other two and tried to kill him. He had tried to survive, and she had understood that. Even now she couldn't hold a grudge against her brother. She had stopped eating raw flesh and instead coped with large amounts of steaks, and other animal delights. But a part of her was still in fear of the fire that had stopped her years before. The one that had burned her flesh, and left the scars upon her face and limbs, ruining her otherwise beautiful body. The fear that wracked her slim body when a flame grew too large. Her wide eyes, thinking lovingly of machinery, of the advances in the world. Sure she may be a more magical beast, but she was for technology, though she didn't hate magic, what else would allow Kitsu to take her fox shape.
Out of the corner of her eye, Kitsu spotted a small commotion. A girl had been in the road. She had been rescued via teleportation. Kitsu smirked and stood up, walking towards the girl and her rescuer, hoping to merely observe and not intrude.

Maisie wasn't sure what happened, but it took her a few seconds to catch her breath. When she looked up, her eyes went wide, her face turned pale and her cheeks turned red. "Oh... yeah... I'm fine." She said, immediately stepping away from Sivan. Yes, she knew Sivan... she knew him better than most people knew their own families. But he didn't know her.
There... there was something in the woods... larger than anything I've ever seen. It started chasing me and... she looked down at the ground. "Thanks for your help."

Sivan held a finger up, looking to the side. Standing there was a suspicious-looking girl, watching them. "Can we help you?" He asked, a slight rude tone to his voice.

"Wow. So nice to a potentially helpful onlooker," Kitsu responded, the sarcasm in her voice painfully obvious.

Sivan turned to fully face the girl. "And how do you think you could be helpful?" He asked, starting to feel somewhat annoyed.
He could sense something...off...about this girl...like she wasn't entirely human...he looked into her cold eyes. There it was...the proof that she wasn't normal. Sivan snapped his fingers, and a chair and teacup full of tea appeared. He sat down, and took a sip, waiting for an answer from the stranger.

(Meet Robin Piro. Strong magic supporter and avid gardener. From the story: "How the Beggar Boy turned into Count Piro")

Robin wiped the back of his hand across his forehead, merely smearing the sweat and dirt. It was morning still, but already it had grown so hot.
"Any chance you would have a glass of lemonade for an old friend?"
Robin looked over his shoulder to see his best friend walking up the long dirt road. "Would that friend happen to know what happened to a large crate of pears that had been by the front door as the friend left two weeks ago?"
"Even better." Alex replied pulling a bundle of money from his raggedy coat pocket. "He has his share of the earnings."
"Figures." Robin stood up, wiping the grass from his breeches. "Let me go get some lemonade."
Minutes later, both men were sitting in rickety chairs on the porch, overlooking Robin's little farm. It wasn't much, but it was beautiful. At least, that's what Robin thought, Alex was probably racking up the price values of each blade of grass.
"You know I did you a favor." Alex said, breaking the calm silence, and handing Robin a wad of cash. "You make a lot more selling your magical fruits on the black market these days. What with everyone going on magic free diets."
"Next time, just ask first okay?"
"Deal." Alex's eyes shifted nervously.
Robin took a sip of his lemonade, ignoring Alex's twitchiness, just for right now. One of the mint leaves was floating at the top. He picked it out with his fingers, smelling its sharp fragrance. With a quick flick, he tossed it back into the yard. "So... what are you planning on stealing from me this time?"

"Well... I could get someone almost anywhere. I'm also strong... and I think that summoning a chair and cup of tea is a waste of magic. There are other, better things to do," Kitsu told the man.

"Why worry about whether or not what you're doing is a waste, if you have an endless supply?" Sivan replied, taking another sip.

Maisie wasn't sure what was going on. There was magic at work here- she knew that, and from her experience, magic folk didn't like people telling them how to use their magic. She glanced in between the new girl and Sivan.
"Um... sorry for him." She apologized. She started running after him.
"Sivan! Wait!" She called.

Maise froze in her tracks. Against her will, her could feel blood rushing into her cheeks. She tried not to meet his eye. The truth was- she had been stalking him for about two years- NOT in a creepy way... well... maybe sort of creepy if you heard about it out of context. She bit her lip. What am I supposed to say? I can't just tell him I've stopped by his house without fail for the last two years. That'd be... awkward. Maisie's mind scrambled to concoct a lie.
"I- I uh..." She stammered. "I... I live in a cottage near your castle... people talk about you sometimes." It was a lame lie, but it was all she could come up with on the fly.

Sivan's eyebrows furrowed. "Uh-oh. That can't be a good thing." He turned back around, and started once again to walk.
He wondered what people were saying about him, but not enough to ask. He was bored of this situation.
