All Shadow could do was laugh. It seemed as if all of the hybrids were blind. They didn't see what was going on. The federal government wanted them locked up so they couldn't have freedom. The very truth was they were all beasts, animals, or just plain freaks. Whether you acted like one or not. They mentally judged you before hearing your voice. Shadow didn't care that he was here. His past didn't bother him. He wasn't out for revenge, he was out to mark his territory as an animal would. "You can't handle the simple truth lizard girl! You can't run forever! It will catch up!"

"Remember to all stay together!" Jerric announced, completely oblivious to the fact that some of the hybrids were already beginning to wander off by themselves. "It's a pretty large place and there are some areas where... Well, I dont want you to stumble into them."

Kara kept to the background as she listened in on the conversation between the armored lizard-girl and the big hulking wolf-man. From what she heard, he relly wasn't looking to lay low and wait for an oportunity, so she mentally made a note to not get on his radar too much. On the streets she'd learned it was best to leave the big guys to giht amongst themselves.

When Jerric started to lead them into the compound, she hesitated breifly when she saw others wander off in a different direction. It would be nice to get away from the main crowd, but she didn't want to wander around blind either. Back home her knwoledge about the back alleys had helped her mess around with people that were far less familiar with the environment. Here, though, she was the stranger and she did't like that one single bit.

After a moment's hesitation, she jogged up to the lizard-lady that had dared to approach the wolf man. She'd sounded intelligent and observant- areas that Kara knew she had a tendancy to skim over occasionally. What she needed was a level-headed ally in this place, and the other girl seemed like her best bet at the moment. Plus, she'd confidently approached a dangerous-looking hybrid, which meant she had to be strong, right?

"Hey wait up," she said as she aproached the girl. "Did you really go in there?"

The snow leopard could tell that the boy had spent little time even among the animals he took his genetics from, since the females would have had the same features she did if only in a slightly altered manor, though all women were generally the same - regardless of species. "Not generally. It's the girl they're attached to that's dangerous." The leopard explained, looking away from him as a giant wolf came out of a truck and started threatening people while Jerric tried to call everything to order. He seemed interesting, much more so then the boy who had attempted to converse with her. "Later Armadillo Boy." She said walking away from him with long confident strides, her leopard paws leaving indents in the ground where her claws ripped up grass and stone. She wasn't frightened in the least while she approached 'Shadow' though she didn't directly interact with him. Instead she took her place in the crowd and watched him, focusing in and assessing the threat around him, wondering how much it would take for him to really snap and get out of here instead of letting others control and dictate when and where he went. He looked as if he would hate this, and craved freedom like a real wolf, and the snow leopard looked away, walking with a confident swing of her hips and her tail wrapping itself around her left thigh.

Dante looked over at the... Wolverine hybrid? When she asked if Armis had 'really been over theres he assumed that she meant to go see the wolf hybrid. She smiled and nodded before replying.
"Yes. He's just a lot of bark and... Less willingness to bite. As long as you treat him with the right amount of respect. That's just how wolves are."
She paused a moment.
"Also... I don't think he wants to hurt us. The hybrids I mean. The humans, sure."
She gives you a smile and holds out her hand.
"Anyway, I'm Armis. Who are you?"

Armaldo considered this as he pushed his glasses up and walked towards the human thing with ears and a tail, Armaldo thought he remembered seeing an animal that looked like him, a small ground creature. Apparantly The ones with "Breasts" were usually dangerous and in addition they were called "Girls", it seemed true enough so far as the Cat-human left tearing up the ground as she did so. He carefully approached the human-thing with the ears and tails, it seemed both knowledge about and seemed to be heading towards food. "Hello, what are you? And what is the word for those that are not Girls?" he asked seeking more information and hoping the creature would lead him to food. There was also a bird thing, "Oh and what are you?" he inquired again seeking to gain as much knowledge as possible

Aiden turned as the little armadillo hybrid asked a question. Lowering to his knees until he was close to eye level, Aiden started to comb through his hair and spoke in a low voice. "You look tasty." he said in low, whispering voice. He then chuckled and play punched the armadillo's arm, "Just kidding, I'm a vegetarian hawk." He said scratching his neck.
He got up from his kneeling position and looked towards the main crowd receiving the tour. "I dunno, but that wolverine girl is pretty attractive." he said with a cocky smirk.

Kara tilted her head in consideration as she mulled over Armis' words. While Kara wasn't sure she actually knew what she was doing, she didn't seem to be suicidal or looking for trouble, and that was good enough for her.

"I'm Kara," she said finally, shaking the hand that was offered.

"And I'm not sure if it works like that, the wolf thing I mean. We're not animals, right, not really? And with people the ones that feel like they are owed respect are often willing to fuck you up over stupid things." She wasn't clever like some people, but she knew about dangerous people.

She looked Armis over for a while, unsure whether it was impolite to stare when the other looked this... fascinating.

"Um... I don't want to be rude or anything, but what kind of... person are you?" she asked as careful as she knew how. "I mean, I've never really left the city, so I just know about cats and dogs and rats and pigeons and shit, but you're... not that," she finished lamely.

Fox looked at him like he was insane mainly because of the very odd question. "Where did you grow up, in a cave?" He said a bit sarcastically. He then notice that the Hybrid was dead serious and then seriously considered if he did grow up in a cave, or at least in the wild. "Well for starters I'm a hybrid. As for the people that aren't called girls, are men. Though most people have a name and prefer to be called by it. My name is Fox." He said hoping it wasn't to much information for him. He would hate for him to misinterpret something and make a fool of himself or worse, get himself killed.

To those who hadnt left the tour yet, didn't get anything extremely exciting. Jerric showed them the bedrooms (seperated into both male and female), the lounge, game room, attic, basement, gym, music room... Honestly the manor was set up exactly like a boarding school , only with reinforced walls doors and everything else.

"The rooms can have three people each In them. It's up to you whether you want room mates or to have a room to yourself." Jerric explained as they finally reached their last destination . "Here we are! The kitchen. You'll have to cook anything you want yourself , but we have pretty much anything you'd want. Something for all the animals. Understand?"

Armis giggled at Kara's timidity with her question.
"Nice to meet you Kara. And you're not rude, I'm always willing to share knowledge. I'm a hybrid of what's commonly known as an Armadillo Lizard, or an Ouroborus cataphractus. As for the wolf hybrid... He's an interesting character."
She paused.
"What about you? You look more human than animal, but I'm guessing Wolverine or Badger"

Kara nodded along with her explanation, not really wanting to admit that she didn't really know what either of those were. Perhaps she should have gone to a museum sometime, or spent more time learning about animals and shit. She'd never expected she would actually need information like that, however, and here she was.

"I'm, uh, not really sure," she had to admit, scratching sheepishly at her ear. "I've never met anything that smells like me, and I figured I don't look like anything enough to look at pictures." She shrugged. It wouldn't matter anyway, right? She was what she was, and knowing the name didn't change that.

"Wolverine or badger, eh?" she said, breaking out in a grin. "Which one is more badass? I'll go with the badass one, it doesn't really matter , right?"

"I'm strong, and like you said I look human. People don't really care if you've got secrets if you're usefull." She was only listening with half an ear to Jerrics explanation of the rooms they went past, but she figured she got the gist of it. Armis was far more interesting than stupid prison rooms anyway.

"How did you do it anyway? I'm guessing a hoodie wasn't enough for you to walk around, right?"

Armis looked around the kitchen and it suddenly realized she was actually really hungry.
"That's actually a long story. Would you care to talk about it over some food?"
She began up walk towards one of the cabinets to see what was on the inside. As she did she spoke over her shoulder.
"And as for the badger, wolverine question, they both have their benefits and downfalls. Badgers are smaller and weaker than Wolverines but they can build underground homes that keep them safe from what they can't attack. They also live in groups. Wolverines are larger and much stinger than badgers, but they can't build homes for themselves and they are very solitary creatures."

Armaldo flinched away when the bird-human ran it's fingers through his hair backing away from the strange thing. It was a vegetarian? Armaldo wasn't sure what that meant but since it left him alone it meant he probably didn't eat meat things, so it was like him. Then he turned to the other animal thing, it had a name, it was Fox. So those without "Breasts" were men and things had names that they liked to be called by. Good information. He took a deep sniff and memorized how both of them smelled. Then he followed the tour with interest, so many things to see. When they finally ended up in the kitchen he asked the long-arm thing that knew things, "What are you? And what Gun-mens want us to do? Oh, and where berries? Hungry." Armaldo asked firing off questions rapid fire and looking closely at the long-arm thing with his milky eyes hidden behind his seeing things and smelling to make he would remember who the long-arm thing was.

Jacky nodded, becoming less excited now that the euphoria had worn off. He didn't plan to stay alone, but there was a certain air of awkwardness in the room, making it seem as if interaction or friendship was at the bottom of everyone's list of priorities. He also packed snacks. Was that contraband? He hoped not. He liked snacks.

"Shadow! I'm coming in!" The man with the clipboard took his knife and pistol and set it down. "Close the door guys, turn those lights on." The man walked in and quickly the door behind him was lifted and shut. Before it was shut, he begged the door stay closed, no matter what. Bright lights filled the inside of the trailer. Shadow was already facing the man and he squinted for a second at the light that had filled the trailer. "Look, I know this must be hard for you, I know that you probably want to kill everyone here, and I-" With a quick second and a swift motion, the man was choking and his feet were off the ground. His back slammed into the reinforced steel wall and an indent of his back was made. Outside of the trailer, the left side had an indent and a loud bang emerged. There was a crunch and the mans hands struggled to wrap around Shadow's paw.

"You must not understand or you wouldn't be here pep talking me! I despise being mistreated and all you bastards have done is just that!" Shadow's grip tightened. "There is no respect for us hybrids! Just hate!"The man was thrown to the front of the trailer and another bang sounded from the trailer. "You see, I bothered only those that provoked me." He turned his back for a moment as the man gasped for air. "Therefore I was of no threat. I was a nice creature. The children in that small town not to far from my dwelling enjoyed going into the woods just to see me! I would tell them stories which they would enjoy and we would play many games." Shadow turned around and the man was still struggling to stand. "Shadow... I was just tr-"

"You weren't trying anything." Shadow walked towards him. "You're a fool. I wish to kill you for your own foolishness." The man pulled out a small knife from his boot and went to slash Shadow, but his paw stopped him at his wrist. He squeezed and the crunching sound of his bones slowly spilled into the air. Shadow stopped when the knife dropped. The man cried out in pain. Shadow lightened his squeeze and got face level with the man. "This is your only warning, and this will be a warning for others as well. Now leave and let me be." He dragged the man to the door and banged on it. "Get your man you damn imbeciles!" The door slowly opened as the men trained their weapons on him, it was as if they never put them down. Two of the guards helped the man and they walked off. Shadow was unsure if the third man was going to warn Jerric or not. They turned the lights off and closed the door again. Letting Shadow be for now.

Jerric frowned as he looked down at the smaller hybrid, attempting to index stand what he was asking . "I'm a sloth." He started simply, letting out a slow yawn. "And the berries are over there." He pointed over tithe refrigerator as he spoke, careful not to hit anyone with his long arms. He very specifically did not answer the question about the gun men... As he really didn't know an answer for it.

Armaldo's stomach grumbled loudly making him forget the question regarding the Gun-men and he turned to the object the sloth-thing had pointed. It seemed similar to some of the storage units that were in the cabin. He grabbed the handle and pulled surpised when a blast of chilling air came out. "Ah!" he cried out and jumped away from the strange object. Armaldo regarded it cautiously, although it seemed to emit an artic arua it had his food inside it, he would have to brave the cold.

He did not like the cold at all, it made him feel like his blood was slowly freezing. Moving quickly he opened the storage and quickly riffled through it grabbing a bag full of assorted berries and backing away quickly from the cold generating device. "Did not tell me it was cold." he muttered somewhat resentfully and then eagerly, yet neatly, gobbled berries down by impaling them on a claw before carefully bringing it to his mouth. "Wonder why wolf mman is not here. I should learn more about human things." Looking around the first thing that caught his eye was a human thing with tails and very pink skin. "Hello human-thing what are you?" he iquired still slowly consuming his bag full of berries.@Puffhead@TheBrightestEyes

"Gramma told me I was an Ax-o-lotl!" Jacky responded, grinning widely at Armaldo. "Also, the top thingy in the fridge is colder than the bottom ones. Be careful about that." He considered getting something from the fridge, but remembered the snacks. Remember the snacks.

"Food sounds great!" Kara immediately said, and she busied herself around the kitchen as she listened to Armis talk.

"Hmm, I've never dug a home for myself," she said as she opened several cuboards and fridges to see what was there.

"And I don't really like large groups of people, but I don't really want to be completely alone either. Wow, this stuff is all so fresh," she said happily, attention caught away from the conversation by the abundance of food. She had enough money to buy stuff when she got older, but she never really stopped supplementing her diet with what she could scavenge from dumsters. It was amazing what kind of things people would throw away.

She picked through the food as Armis told her story, eventually settling on a bag of raspberries and several cuts of steak.
