Zack looked to the men in the center of main room and thought to himself "this should be interesting,Hopefully these other guys do their part." Zack slowly undid the clasp on his lance and worked silently and nimbly he locked his shield in place on his forearm well watching the group. Zack released a bellow as he launched himself from the beam towards the barbarian in a graceless flight his lance bored into the mans thigh as Zack stumbled on his landing. Zack pulled his lance free flinging blood from the tip and jumped back evading the thief's blade narrowly Zack's reflexes kicked in as he saw the barbarian's axe coming in he brought his shield up to the path of the axe and felt radiating vibrations and pressure on his forearm as he deflected the axe blow away and brought a his booted foot into the barbarians injured thigh to no avail he dove to his right dodging the second axe swing he rolled onto his feet he thrust his lance into the barbarian's side. White hot pain hot pain surged from Zack's shoulder as the thief blade cut thinly across the back of his shoulder. Zack spun on his heel and delivered piercing blow with the lance running the thief through and fighting to pull his lance free of the body. Zack released his lance and dived away from the barbarian as another strike came toward him, He barely got his shield up in time as a second blow came in. Zack launched himself to his feet and ran grabbing his lance and ripping it free and running it through the barbarians gut as he charged him and threw him aside finally killing the man. He scanned the area and caught the glimpse of the archer running deeper into the dojo and began pursuing him.

"Oh meant no disrespect." Samuel lied as he began scanning what he was working with in the surroundings. "I only wanted to make sure you were not going to burden me in this jostle." He relayed to his now teammate. When he heard the new news of the prisoners he took a moment to think of the best plan he should take. "I would rather wait and see what happens." He stated. "Sure they could be of use but we already have a plan that has already gone into action. As much of a pain it is to be around that spear head,I would rather not add another element and avoid the hazard of a risk that he is not yet aware of." Samuel continued to survey the area and his partner's comment about the armor difference did deserve a response. "Whenever your ready we should take an initiative. I guess we could have me draw their attention and you can hide away striking them when their guard is down. I think we could get the first few like that, if you don't have a problem." Samuel relayed to Zaku.

With the commotion going on in the building. A confused Samantha awoke.

“Yeah, that right, you sure you’re not just trying to lure me into your secret lair? Have your wicked little way with me?” Silk replied in a cheerful, playful manner, her mood improving with every step that she took. Which was understandable, considering each step took her away from the danger. Silk was no coward and she could fight well enough when she had to. But that was only when she had to. She preferred more subtle solutions when at all possible. She danced around to face Matthew while continuing to walk backwards. “Or perhaps you were hoping that I might be particularly…grateful? she said in a suggestive manner, her tone matching her expression.

She then burst out laughing, patting Matthew on the back. “I’m just joking with you. But you do have a point, we need to lay low until the heat dies down a little. And since this mystery man seems to know me so well it might be best if you take the lead, at least for the moment. But just remember, I’m not cheap, so watch your hands mister!” Silk called out cheerfully, waving her sword playfully into the air. She was only half joking.

Meanwhile…

Back outside the tavern, standing alone in a secluded dark corner stood Isaac. He watched with an amused look on his face as he beheld the commotion in the bar reach its eventual conclusion, a group of Raiders dragging their unconscious leader outside with some considerable effort. He lit up a cigar, the pale flash of the match striking momentarily lighting up his exceptionally plain features. It had been, he considered, money very well spent. The little dove had flown the scene as he had expected she would. The fact that she had acquired company was no surprise. He knew Silk was rather talented in roping people in. It would be fun, when push came to shove, to see how quickly she betrayed him. Without anyone seeing him he slipped quietly into the hustle of the street, disappearing from sight.

Matthew rolled his eyes at Silk. "I'm not trying to get under your cloak, you'd know if I was trying." He said winking at her as he disappeared up the stairs. The patrons waved to him, many spoke in strange accents and wore extravagant dress. This place was made for the rich, powerful, influential, and the royal. I did beg the question how the tactician managed a room. He stopped pulling out a key he opened the door into a room decorated in Ylissian blue's and white's. The bed covered in violet sheets of silk with Rosanne's royal symbol upon, intended in the middle was the girl Isabelle had rendered unconscious and made Matthew carry to his Inn. Kicking off his boots he walked into an attached kitchen preparing tea. "Make yourself at home, just be careful. I don't want to pay the cleaning costs." He chuckled as the water boiled.

"So... Listen, I have to ask. Your a half Taguel aren't you? I'm not trying to be mean. I've just never met one before, there very proud people. However since you didn't transform and rip them in half with your teeth I assume you never learned how?" He asked as he collected two tea cups and some tea bags from an old wooden box that smelled faintly like vanilla. "I know it's none of my business but... Well Tacticians are trained to size up a person and tell there weakness, experiences, strengths, and most importantly their personality. Your street trained, you learned how to fight the hard way, I'm a classical trained fighter. Your body language and attitude suggest your used to seduction techniques but get what you want without ever going the whole way. Lastly your very cheerful but I know adding all that up your life was rough. So how am I doing so far?" He said as finished making tea and served them both a cup.

"And don't worry I only use my powers for good... And personal profit." He said with a smile and slide her the cup, it smell of lavender, vanilla, and nutmeg. Definitely not Ylissian tea, must have been imported in or Matthews personal taste from home. "However since I know a lot about you I'm assuming you the goods on me? That's how information exchange goes around here correct? Well ask away, I have nothing to had." He spoke in calm voice, he smiled even. Most nobles in his position would abuse the power of having an exotic beauty around yet here he was making her tea and talking as if they were both about to be sent in to see the Exalt shortly. Either Matthew was very down to earth or he was the mastermind of great game being played, more than likely the first he wasn't that smart.

Silk followed Matthew’s lead, immediately realizing that he truly was from a completely different rung of society than herself, mercenary or no. He clearly had connections and knew how to use them. Silk had connections of her own, however they were of a completely different nature entirely. With that said Silk was in no way overawed by the experience, having been in plenty of places far grander than this. The only difference was that she was rarely an invited guest. Silk laughed cheerfully as Matthew tried to delicately approach what he must have thought was a touchy subject for her. It was kind of cute. Certainly better than the usual paranoia and fear that her heritage, once realized, often invoked.

“Yeah, so I've been told,” Silk replied as she tested the springs of the bed in the way that people do, by bouncing on the edge of the mattress. The bed was plumb and soft, far too soft in fact. She would sleep far too deeply in a bed like this and that could often end very badly. She looked over her shoulder at her host. If Matthew had expected a strong reaction to the question he was going to be sorely disappointed. “Aha, yeah, I guess you could say that,” she said simply in reply, the pleasant smell of crushed vanilla seeds making her nose twitch. “No one to teach me in an orphanage. And no desire to learn now.”

She kicked her legs absent-mindedly as she listened to Matthew, smiling as he attempted to break down her life through a series of observations and logical deduction. It was a skill set that she was familiar with, using specific elements of it herself when it came to judging the suitable of a mark. Though she was nowhere near as good as Matthew it seemed. In fact in some respects he was more of less dead-on, though she wasn't going to tell him that. She took a sip of pleasant smelling liquid. “Well, as your employer I suppose that I should be privy to certain details,” Silk replied in a cheerful yet aloof manner. “Indulge me, regale me with your tales of daring do and heroic exploits.”

"Well first off, I'm no dashing hero. I tell enough story's to know one." He said taking his seat looking at Silk. He sipping his tea, the smell gracing his nostrils with wisps of smoke that made memories of home fling forward in his mind. "I was born in to a house that is very close to the Duke's family. Meaning that we had money and power, add to that parents who take pride in politic challenge and you have a recipe for my home. Being the oldest I supposed to train to become a knight, however I could never hold a lance right and to much armor constrained mobility. I did love being on horse back through." Shaking his head he looked back to Silk having trailed off his eyes wandering.

"I had been practicing magic in secret and when I showed my parents well they were proud, extremely in fact of there son being a mage and swordsman. However I wasn't happy, I didn't want to end up a court wizard so my mother sent away for a teacher, a brilliant Plegian tactician arrived weeks. She trained me from age ten up in how to read people, how to weave the battlefield, and how to win a game that's un-winnable." He said thinking back on his master and her wise lessons, she had been more like mother than his actual mother had come to think of it.

Matthew finished his tea and walked in to the kitchen, he had an idea for vegetable soup and he had to know if Silk liked carrots. He was pretty sure she did he just needed to double check it. "So I competed in a tournament that year, I won it to. Most of those nobles don't understand killer instinct or trick maneuvers they expect straight forward fighting. So after that my parents decided to marry me off to some girl I had never met. Saw her picture she was cute but not my type, I heard she was a guest of honor from another Nation, wanted me to be her husband because no other warrior she seen could match me. Something about how I unique and more capable than others, Chon'Sin women like strong men. Though being a cute red helps to, in some case's." He chuckled as he peeled potatoes and chopped veggies, he had washed up and begun cooking as he spoke to her, a pot of water just starting to bubble behind him. "Veggie soup for dinner, it's all fresh, mind cutting up the carrots for me? Feel free to have a few."

There was loud noise heard from inside of the building meaning only one thing..."It looks like our plan has been activated and we're not there to continue it." commented Zaku as he gracefully pulled out his beautiful silver blade from it's sheath. It sounded ominous coming out as if it was ready for it's master to use it. Zaku waited for just a moment as the group looked towards the building and started shouting at each other a small group of them ran for the door. Zaku didn't hesitate. He jumped from his hiding spot into the back yard pond and slew the enemy archer who stayed behind with one graceful move cutting the throat open deeply. He then grabbed the body before it fell to the ground and threw it at the myrmidon nearby her causing the man to stumble. Zaku wasted no time cutting him open but the attack didn't hit fatally allowing the man a chance to pull away forcing Zaku to block. The other two myrmidons were the other fool's problems as far as Zaku was concerned.
===
The archer panted afraid for his life as he ran shouting and pleading for help. Help came quickly enough a one man with a lance stood in front of Zack now. He was wearing red armor and had a scar across his face from some sort of battle wound. "Ylisse soldier you came to the wrong compound! Now you'll die a painful death!" said the soldier as he charged at Zaku a steel lance aimed directly at his waist. The archer let loose an arrow but it missed Zack by a narrow margin. However suddenly Zack felt a cool sensation run through his body and his wound as healed clearly by magic. Isabelle had came into the room shortly after Zack. She hid herself around the corridor and despite the range she managed to heal the wound enough that Zack could fight the enemy properly. "Come on..." she said quietly hoping the man would triumph.

That alarm is good as any, Samuel thought to himself as he drew his blade. The bronze did not shine as much as silver but a tool to kill was not supposed to be bright and flamboyant. The man took of after Zaku with a slightly slower speed because his clanging armor did slow him down a bit. By the time he arrived at the scene of the fight he was confronted by two Myrmidons. Samuel approached from one end of the two so he would have a moment before the further one could slice at him. With that he brought his blade up to collide with the first Myrmidon's blade only for Samuel to balance his weight onto one foot and have his boot crush the shin of this Myrmidon. Now that he had an opening Samuel pulled back a step to plunge his blade into the ground before grappling the Myrmidon in pain and throwing him into his partner before Samuel could grip his bade and drive it into the pair. As luck was not on his side the second troop managed to back away in time to escape with his life in tact for the moment.

Zack could feel the white hot pain from his shoulder dissipate and being replaced by a feeling of cold water running against his flesh as he wound was healed. Zack brought his shield down slamming into the veteran soldier's lance turning a fatal strike to a glancing wound along the outside of his thigh, as a arrow intended for a killing strike bounced off his helmet sending sending wave of pressure along his head as his helmet saved his life. Zack side stepped placing the soldier between him and the archer well thrusting his spear at the soldier only to produce sparks as the Iron tip of his spear bounced off of the soldier shield. " Well this is a good fight." Zack said as he barely dodged the man's lance. Zack leaned in a he struck the man in his with a minor blow to his shoulder his armor taking the brunt of the strike. Zack unleashed a grunt as the soldier slammed a meaty paw into Zack's cheek welling up blood where flesh broke. They were to close for lances and Zack brought his shield into the man's bicep to buy himself a second of reprieve and caught his breath well back pedaling opening up space as another arrow whistled past to close for comfort.

Zack brought his shield up barely in time to block a arrow that shattered on impact with the metal shield, white hot pain spread as the soldier used the opening and brought the tip of his lance just under Zack's breastplate before Zack jerked backward and knocked the spear away."You will face the wrath of a pissed Ylisse soldier!" Bellowed Zack as he swung his lance that bit into nothing but air to fend the soldier away. Zack took small steps forward thrusting repeatedly at the soldier forcing him back like nobles fencing but much less nimble and flashy. The soldier batted Zack's lance away refusing to give anymore ground to Zack. In this second of an opening Zack brought his lance overhead and gripped it with both hands and swung it like a bat. The wooden Lance's wooden shaft gave with the impact in a shower of splinters and broke in two on impact with the soldiers side stunning him for a split second. Zack Charged impacting his waist and wrapping his arms around the mans waist and lifting him off the ground before slamming him into the ground. Zack felt the soldiers fist connect with the bridge of his nose releasing a stream of blood from his nose but that did not get Zack off the Man. Zack unconnected his shield and swung at the man repeatedly striking across his face and chest. Zack's attention was pulled away when a arrow impacted his breast plate but failed to pierce the arrow as the angle of impact deflected the arrow.

The Soldier slammed a fist into Zack's jaw knocking him onto his side and leaped on Zack wrapping his meaty paws around Zack's neck trying to drain the life of him. Zack could feel each breath harder to take,Zack drove blow after blow into the soldier's side well fighting to try and free himself. Darkness slowly crawled in on Zack's vision, He dropped his arms to the ground as his energy to keep fighting was drained away. Feeling his hand resting on the tip of his broken lance he grabbed it with what energy was left and brought it into the side of the soldier's chest. Light slowly fought it's way back into his vision as the grip around his neck lessened he struck again and again in a spray of warm blood. Zack slammed the lance head into the solder's neck in a final fatal blow feeling his weight as the soldier's lifeless corpse collapsed onto Zack. Zack's vision cleared as he let loose with a salvo dry coughs as he fought to gain his energy from underneath the body.

Zack pushed the soldier off him as another Arrow whizzed past as the Archer surprise got the best of him watching his friend fall in the fight. Zack grabbed the Soldier's steel Lance and forced himself to his feet and plodded forward well taking deep breaths as he worked into a full run charging the archer as a rushed arrow went wide. Zack Slammed the lance into the Archers gut with a sickening thud lifting the archer off the ground until he stopped moving as blood ran down the shaft off the lance.Zack dropped the body from the lance his breathing returning to normal he slowly plodded over toward the dead soldier cleaning blood away from his face and retrieving his shield. " Thank you for the help, My lady, If i may request some more help I'm currently in search of a young girl the people were holding for a ransom."Said Zack as he wrapped his scarf around the wound below his breastplate stemming the stream of blood trickling away.

"Hey you saw me!? Jiro is going to make me work on my hiding skills again! Naga damn it!" Isabelle said clapping her feet down on the floor. "Well I suppose I could just take solace in the face that I helped you. But really...that was a big much even by mercenary standards." Isabelle said looking at the carnage around them. "So uh...where's my friend. You know broody, has a nice sword, and is careless around all life in general." Isabelle said as she crossed the hallway and walked up to the man. "Well if it counts I'm Isabelle by the way." she said awkwardly stepping around the corpse of the soldier.

The myrmidon fighting Zaku was wary and not as skilled with that iron blade as he could've been. Zaku quickly spun around the man as he attempted to thrust him in the gut. Grabbing onto the man's arm and putting his foot around the man's leg Zaku tripped the man with ease and kicked him in the head. Dazed Zaku stabbed him in the gut but it wasn't a fatal wound, if left untreated it may be, and stomped hard on the man's knee for good measure. "Now stay down." Zaku grumbled as he charged in from behind the myrmidons who were facing Samuel stabbing one through the abdomen with surprising quickness. Taking advantage of the situation he kicked the man back into his partner who had turned to face Samuel forcing him forward. The blow was ill timed but lucky as it pushed Samuel out of the way of a man with an axe who just bust through a door and the axe instead found it's mark in a friendly instead of an enemy unlucky for him it was the one whom he had stabbed and not the one who was going for Samuel. Zaku charged forward to engage the man getting in close and personal slashing him twice on the body but not bringing him down. The myrmidon who had not been killed stood up weakly and tried to slash Samuel but it was a poor blow of a man who knew he had no chance in hell.

Samuel stood there as the bandit that he was fighting him kept him busy while his partner finished up his mess over there. That was at least until large man with an axe decimated the door on his trip into the fray. That meant nothing to Samuel since his partner decided to take on the large foe while Samuel was stuck dealing with this tiny bandit who remained. "You're not going to do much without some resolve." Samuel bantered to the Myrmidon as he frailly swung his blade at Samuel. It was almost moving in slow motion in the leer of Samuel. Even fighting in armor the soldier managed to side step this blow with ease and swung his sword in a vertical arc right into the scared bandit's shoulder. "You should have fought for a better cause." the soldier mumbled as he turned away from the myrmidon. Even if that bandit did survive that strike then Sanuel was prone to allow him to keep his life. There was no honor in kicking a wounded puppy. Even if he would have been screwed if the bandit did get back up and stab him in the back. Samuel was more keen on diverting his attention to lending Zaku a hand because the axeman would probably kill his temporary comrade if they fought one on one.

Silk listened intently, or at least she appeared to listen intently. It was hard to tell at times due to certain benefits bestowed through her heritage, such as being able to focus in two directions at the same time. As such one ear was turned toward Matthew while the other was angled toward the doorway to the room and by extension the hallway beyond it. She was listening for the sound of tippy toes trying to be sneaky, just in case this was some elaborate ploy to get her alone and ambush her. It wouldn't be the first that someone had tried that on her. Nor would it have been the first time that someone had tried to win her trust through an act of selfless but ultimately engineered heroism. Hearing about lances and horses made her smile and stifle a laugh, a filthy joke coming to mind but remaining unspoken.

She looked away and sighed dejectedly. “Nobody ever taught me anything like that, no, seriously, the only things they teach you at an orphanage are how to read your letters and be a good little servant of Naga,” Silk said in a sombre tone, nostalgia threatening to make her emotional. She shook her head to dispel the memory and turned back toward Matthew. “So I'm curious, how does one go about learning magic? I mean, can anyone do it? I bet it takes a hell of a lot of hard work either way, right?” Silk said conversationally as she followed Matthew into the kitchen, mentally cataloguing the contents of the room should she decide to return at a later date. You would be surprised how much some people would pay for fancy cutlery. Especially if the stuff was real silver.

Silk picked up a knife and started to deftly slice the carrots offered to her, barely glancing at what she was doing. It didn't take long for the pile to start growing, despite the occasion sampling of the product. Nimble fingers were good for more than just picking pockets and stealing lockets after all. She grinned playfully as she listened to Matthew's story. “Pfft, strong men,” Silk scoffed in a derisive tone. “Now intelligent men on the other hand are a different matter. You know, people who can actually hold a conversion for more than a few minutes without reverting to type. Not too intelligent though. Can’t have them catching onto me too quickly, it ruins the fun. Plus it makes running away that much harder,” Silk said in a joking manner.

"It's very nice to meet you Isabelle ,and your friend is somewhere about he should show up sooner or later." replied Zack as he dragged the bodies out of the path in case they needed a quick escape route." You are welcome to accompany me until your friend shows up."said Zack as he tested the weight of the new steel lance before scanning around looking and listening for any noise out of the ordinary."I am Zack former soldier of Ylisse by the way."Said Zack as he extended a hand in greeting.

He chuckled and looked at her. "I guess I'm out of the running, I'm pretty damn smart. You can relax, if I was in on the plan to kill you I'd use Calvary and archer to pin you in and swordsmen to hunt you down. If that didn't work I'd use mages to ignite you." He said in monotone voice, he didn't even bat an eye as he finished the soup picking up some carrots and dumping them in. "Your safe here, if I am lying then let Naga or Grima strike me down." He said adding spices to the soup bringing it down to simmer as he began to cooks cuts of steak on little grill off to the side. "I'm a mercenary and a tactician. I don't capture people I take buildings and defeat bandits hordes, trust me your not the type of job I take. Before you ask I can see it in your ears in movement, you never trust anyone and it's how you stay alive right?"

As he finished dinner he brought it to the table in the living room placing a bowl of soup in front of each and the cuts of meat off to the side. "As for magic it is skill like any other however it requires patience, time, and practice. A good bloodline and natural skill can also make the learning process go faster." He spoke pouring them each more tea as he sat down in a chair. "I was a natural or so I'm told yet it still took years, I'm decent by Mage standards but not special by any means." He said dipping his spoon in the soup. "I hope you enjoy the meal, thanks for the help with it by the way."

“Heh, you’re not that smart, you did bring a criminal into your home after all, what would your parents think?” Silk said jokingly as she followed Matthew to the table, taking a seat opposite him. She took some soup but left the meat alone. She smiled to herself and shrugged at his question. “Noticed that huh? Kind of guessed you would, being so observant and all. And you’re not wrong. Not exactly. But as a general rule? No I don’t trust people. I've been stung too many times, if you get my drift. You could drop to your hands and knees and swear undying fealty to me and I still wouldn't completely trust you. That’s what a life of crime will do to you, so don't take it personally, okay?” Silk said in a cheerful, nonchalant tone. She blew on the soup to cool it down a little.

She added some salt to the soup and stirred in it. “For example, even though I left my sword by the door, I took a knife from the kitchen. Just in case. Or did I? Maybe I'm not telling the truth. Who knows, maybe you poisoned me, maybe I poisoned you. The point is I have to think like that, all the time,” Silk carried on in that same nonchalant tone as she stirred the soup absent-mindedly with her spoon. She looked at Matthew with a serious expression for a moment before a smile found its way to her lips. “Thank you for the food!” she said before taking a sip of the soup. "Hmm, that is good, you're a great cook."

"My mother would have claimed you after my purity and had your head loped off." He joked back shrugging. "Honestly I don't care if you don't trust me. I just like the company of someone with more than two cells. I'll cook for you again sometime if you like. Also things that poison humans are apparently not effective on Taguel well the legends say at least. Taguel were a lot stronger and bodies were much better at dealing with poisons." He spoke tasting the soup cutting bits of meat and dropping them in his soup.

"Still I'm glad we get to talk, also if you want to steal wait till I'm gone and then take the stuff. I don't need to foot the bill for theft." He said breaking a piece of bread off and offering her some of the loaf. "You know, I thought of something fun we could do, sneak you in to the castle tomorrow. It'd be fun and I've always wanted to be an accessory to grand larceny." He laughed unsure if he really should or not.

The man screamed and howled loudly as he got stabbed in the back by Samuel's sword. Zaku seeing an opening took it immediately and ran the man through with a really quick move of his sword felling the man with a sick sound of metal on bone. "You failed." Zaku simply said to the man as he shoved him into a nearby fish pond. Blood spilled out of the man and Zaku was sure he was dead or he would be soon by blood loss as Zaku stabbed him through his lung and Samuel and stabbed him through his artery. Zaku got up and walked over to the swordsman whom had fallen to Samuel and calmly wiped the blood off his sword using the man's shirt. "That was annoying..." he complained as he looked over to the group of civilians and went over to them and looked at the thick rope tying them together. "Please sir help us! Sir! They took the others somewhere else so we need to get out of here before they get back!" one of the men said panicked as Zaku started to untie the knots.

"Oh yeah you uh....do got that armor and all. Nice to meet you too but first..." Isabelle raised her staff and once again closed her eyes and began muttering for the umpteenth time this day. The healing magic slowly enveloped the man and healed the majority of his major wounds. She then took out a cloth from her hands and cleaned off Zack's hand quickly before shaking it. "Sorry not a big fan of blood. I don't got a problem with it but I just distaste the sight of it. I've come to associate it with someone needing my skill set." apologized Isabelle as she shook his hand firmly and bowed in a manner suiting a noble more than a mercenary. "This is how noble ladies bow right? Whatever I'm as noble as the court dwarf." commented Isabelle referring to a small member of Ylisse's royal court. However before much else could be said Isabelle heard a death roar, something she had been trying to ignore since it was probably meant that Zaku was doing something he shouldn't. Wonderful..."Alright big guy let's get going and find that noise lead the way!" Isabelle said point her staff towards the noise.

Zack nodded "Right." Said Zack as he laughed to himself and reassured his grip on the steel lance and began to slowly advance forward scanning back and forth ready to throw himself into combat."I believe your friends are more then capable we should resume are search for the original reason for this strike and find the young girl." said Zack as he took a corner slowly tightening his grip on lance as he moved searching for any signs of a young girl.

"Um alright I guess you're the soldier tough guy. Where do you think we should look? Upstairs? Backyard? Basement?" Isabelle asked as she felt a strange feeling in her gut that Zaku and Jiro were not going to be happy about what she did today. Following Zaku when he clearly wasn't in the mood for someone following him and getting dragged along by some two bit wanderer and then leaving her new friend to deal with the dude. Whatever nothing she could so about it now she may as well check to see what was going on with this guy. She'd be better off with him anyway seeing as he got injured pretty bad without her so it was for the best she make sure he didn't die.

“After your ‘purity’?” Silk repeated the words with a smirk on her face, before laughing cheerfully, so much so that she started to coke on her soup. “Your ‘purity? Hah! Seriously? That’s hilarious!” she said still laughing to herself while hitting her chest in an effort to stop herself from choking. After giving herself a moment to catch her breath she took another mouthful of soup. “But you are kind of right about that. The poison thing that is. It’s not that we are particularly hardier than humans when it comes to things like that, rather we just have a different set of things that are poisonous to us,” she said without offering further explanation on the subject. She broke off a large chunk of the bread that he offered her and dipped it into the soup.

“Ah don’t worry about that, I'm not going to steal anything. Fort a start the silverware isn't actually silver, I checked,” she said with a wink. “Besides, what kind of employer would I be if I robbed my loyal subordinates?” she added on with a smile. With a final piece of bread she finished off her portion of soup and pushed the bowl to the side. It was then that he mentioned sneaking her into the castle, causing her to pause for a moment in thought, a momentarily suspicious look on her face.

“No thank you! I've been inside enough castles to not want to walk into one willingly ever again. Too many guards, too many suspicious eyes. Besides, you nobles have real trouble keeping your hands to yourselves,” she said, pointing her spoon at him with a grin. She wasn't sure how serious he was, so for now she would treat it as an attempt at humour. Robbing nobles was not something that was done lightly. People tended to lose hands and heads for that kind of thing. Generally it was not worth the risk.
