Power is something that most hunger. Money and strength, soldiers to serve them and beautiful princesses to marry. They want the Throne. In a old world, long forgotten now and fading away from ancient magic that has no been soon for so very long, it is here that our story takes place. A King sits upon his death bed, his two sons and daughter clinging to their protective mother, none yet old enough to rule. Four great houses below them hold the four corners of the world; North, South, West, East. From there four families each. Each completes for power, hope, magic and family. Love, hate, war, peace. For the last two hundred years the kingdom has been nothing but peaceful but spiders lurk in the shadows, watching and waiting for the perfect time to put their pawns into power.
Nobody, yet everyone, can and cannot be trusted. Will you win; or will you die?

It should probably be mentioned this is inspired by Game of Thrones, Eragon, Hobbit and tales of magic I quite enjoy.

WIP Religion
North In the North and the West they worship the Gods that formed the Earth, gods who's names have been nearly lost in the flow of time since they're peoples first arrival here. In the North they are silent, alone and find guidance in the signs they see around them, a dead wolf could be misfortune; a night where the moon fills the sky could foretell of storms to follow. They were at one time a folk very connected to the winter, the same as they are now without the magic. They sit below the stars of by a lake, in the snow; whatever it is that is associated with
The religion here is forever changing. The West are miners and blacksmiths, sturdy and loud, said at one time to have been friends of dwarves and hated of dragons. From what I know they pray to the old gods as well, though a select few are loved and spoken of more often then the others; Mytheaus, the Smith God, the one told to have taught men to smith, mine and fight, husband of Tyria, Goddess of the Hearth and Mother of many of the old gods. In the South and East, they worship the Nine; a group of Gods that were brought over with the most recent settlers to the continent, those who live now in the South are their descendants. Lynthera; Goddess of the Ocean, lover of mortals and wife of Pertan, God of the Wilds, patron of Hunters who they pray too before leaving home to hunt. Starkan; God of the Sky, Air and Feather creatures, called to for protection while travelling. Ellia, Goddess of Fertility, Childbirth, Marriage and Blood; they pray to her before wedding and ask for her blessing during, for a good harvest and strong, healthy children and safe childbirth. Titianus; God of Death, Guilt, Remorse, the Netherworld and the Soul. He is the husband of Ellia, and often she speaks to the people for him because the mortal folk are frightened of Death and often hide from their guilt. Hepherous; God of Light, Medicine, Music and the Sun. He rules above the other Gods and Goddesses, Guiding them away from meddling in human affairs, though he does not always succeed. Humans pray to him when someone is ill and the patron god of healers, bards, musicians and most Knights. He is wed to Nyxia, the Goddess of Night and Darkness, The Moon, Destiny and mother of Fate. She believes in free will for everyone, whether or not they do good with it on the other hand if not something she can control. Smugglers or spies, those that must hide in the night pray to her, asking for her to hide them from those who try to find them in their work. Gelantria; Goddess of the Earth, Nature, Seasons and Growth, farmers worship her most of all in hopes that she will bless their fields and animals so that they will have a good year and harvest much to sustain themselves as well as bring to market to trade with other farmers. Kylian; the God of Love, is shown as either sex depending of the region and sometimes believed to be a pair of twins that never show themselves at the same time. Young girls hope to find love and pray to Kylian before they are married off by their families. In the islands, the people that live in the dragon lords realms worship the Dragon Gods, nameless mostly though that which I do know the name of the one that the first dragon in Oneria was named after; Beltherix, the size of the a mountain they said and breaths fire that melts stone. The deserts I must say they are strange, their gods are those of pleasure, battle and wine; much like them who spend their time fighting and finding pleasure in the strangest things. They celebrate death with life too, instead of mourning they drink and f*ck, cheering what a warrior they had been. I on the other hand do not know how it is they really worship, only tales of them killing in their gods name.

The House of Vallion has long since been called the DragonKin, the family that still holds proud it's decent from the DragonLords of old. They for a very long time have not shown the resistance to fire that was once the thing that singled them out the most and left the Vallion family to not be trusted as Kings. Hundreds of years ago, when the dragons roamed the lands and ruled the skies, the Vallion were those who tamed the beasts, who shared their hearts and lives with the dragons and instead of traveling days on horse back the Lords would take a dragon. At one time the other men of the world grew jealous and fearful and took to slaying the dragons, staring a war with the Vallion, that which beat them down until the dragon blood was almost lost. The dragon eggs they managed to keep turned to stone without the heat of their mothers fires and now stay deep within the keeps where only those who have shown the immunity to heat that the Vallion so rarely showed, could only go.
As far as traditions go, the family of dragons values the purity of it's blood, often marrying within the family to keep the dragon blood strong within them. Since the time of the Dragon lords, the Vallion have wed siblings and cousins rather than letting an outsider into their family.
Those of House Vallion, by blood, have silver hair and lavender eyes, the woman often with delicate features while the men stay lean and elegant like the women but stronger than they appear. Often a child will be born into the family with the fain outline of dragon scales over their heart or on the left shoulder blade, though they seem to grow out of these before they reach maturity.
Lothian
The Kings of the North, the Snow Lords, Winter's Liege. All names for the men who have long since rules the frozen reaches of the continent, living in one of the harshest and unyielding climates of Oneria since the very beginning of man's lives here. The people of the north were among the first to ever travel to Oneria, living at first in the frozen north winter, commanding giants and mammoths and magic over ice and death but that ceased when the men made Kings and learned more of summer and began to fight among themselves. Just as men hunted the dragons, the dragons brought down the giants and feasted on the mammoths, the magic retreating too far north for eve those with fire in their bellies to reach.
The Lothian's make companions of wolf-dogs now, since many of the Dire Wolves moved north with the magic, where prey was easier to find for themselves without having to hunt all day long. So instead of the horse sized wolves, every generation of Lothian is given a pup to look after, to train and to fight wit when necessary. In the North, even woman must learn to fight in case he men had lost the battle.
Dark hair and grey eyes are features that the Lothian have long since passed down, though it is sometimes overtaken by the genes of the other parents in some generations. Normally the Lothian are built to whether a storm, little fat on their bodies but muscle and hard edged features. Men normally have strong arms and have well built muscle from both genetics and days of training. The woman on the other hand remain small and thin, built faster than the men, though with tender hands unless overworked as they are taught as well in the softer arts of women.
Martel, Helios, Praetor
The desert rats, Vipers, sun rises and sun sets of the Dornish desert. Keep in mind that not everything is barren in the desert, several lakes and oasis' provide the foundation for what the people of the desert need to survive in such a harsh climate. The people of the desert started out as nomads, traveling the sands and braving the sandstorms. It wasn't long before the people developed their own culture and hierarchy where the Princes cared about the people and protected them. It was a place where being sexual was alight and it didn't matter who you were with or what your sex was to limit you. The nomads came together over a long period of time and built the first city in the desert, making a place from which their Princes could rule the rough desert. The Dornish were never conquered by the Valyrian before stone doesn't burn, and instead they agreed to an uneasy peace while they lie in wait for their turn at living their lives again.
The Martel are often lean, given their living environment and conditioned for extreme heat and cold, their bodies and clothes designed to save energy and keep in the heat or the coolness during the night or days. More often then not Martel's will inherit the genetic red hair, though it varies vastly in shades or even in some cases tints the dominant hair colour of the offspring. They tend to be darker skinned and mildly tanned olives from days spent in the sun though quite a few end up pale as the sands in which they live.
As previously mentioned the people of Dorne to not separate traits between male and female, men and women are equal here and each Prince of Dorne is selected through their prowess and popularity with the people of the area, though in recent years they were forced to adopt different traditions, placing two men and a woman at the heads of the three largest societies of the desert. In ways of their beliefs, pleasure is something to be enjoyed and not fought over, though buying it is just fine as well and more often than not when a man visits a brothel he will bring his own woman and rent a girl and a boy if one is available. Women, seen everywhere else as the weaker sex, is recognized as a force to be reckoned with and bastards are not shame given flesh, more something to be proud of for the men. Princes often have their own harem, either it came to them, was gifted slowly by other nobles in the forms of daughters and bastards and servant girls, and exotic and erotic beauties that he would go out and find himself; through these harems he often had man children - the boys and girls growing up to be whatever they wished to be.
Winchester
Back, long before the dragons take over, before the Houses fought for supremacy over one another, before the take over and fall of the dragons, the great House of Winchester was a tribe of settled Druids and Dryads. Connected to nature in a way that every other people of the land never had been before and never would be again; the people here lived in peaceful harmony with the land, in huts and borrows, one with the trees and perfectly understanding the way of nature. Many of the traditions of this tribe are still passed down in the ages, living to influence the people as they are now; everyone has a choice no matter what; they marry in nature, with the support of their local gods wood and before their family trees - often resulting in two cemeonies that which they ask the gods for their blessing in this venture. Unlike most of the other noble houses, the Winchester marry purely for love, uncaring weather or not it is a commoner girl that they have fallen for or a lowly lord. They also make it a way of life to give each child an animal companion, to keep them company and safe from harm and by instinct the animal chooses the animal that which it bonds for life. Back when the people of Winchester had been Druids they would prize the life of animals and plants, and to this day - with or without their powers - they remain deeply religious and sweet.
The he lords and ladies of Winchester are characterized by their abnormal hair and eye colours, as well as often having pointed ears and seeming of something out of legend. Fantastic singers they make wonderful entertainers and are always the most sensitive to the emotions of those around as well. Even after centuries of breeding with others the Druid blood in their veins remains dominant over all but the dragon blood, leaving them strange around others and yet peaceful. Naturally, the Winchester try their best to resolve conflict with words and calmly staying away from the violence that ensues though they realize at times that the best way to make the fighting stop is to rush it along. Those here are also good archers.
Primary trading involves sweet sweet fruits that only grow in the area, coats and seeds for crops as well as meat and songs/tales.
Domain would be the area their house is in, the territory they claim etc. The three desert houses share Dorne though for the most part. Affiliation are an organizations that they're part of and the strongest alliances they have with other Houses. So in the desert cases it would be both the others - except Martel, they have Lothian as well.
As the wife you can be anything so feel free to make something up if you want, just run it by me first.
