Life in the land of fairytales was tolerable. Not good, not bad, but tolerable. Good and evil were in perfect balance and people lived there lives as best as they could, ruled by a king and her beautiful queen.
But everything changed when a witch took power. She sent out her dark magic like a disease that infected the land. Wolves became werewolves, villagers became undead, animals became monsters and the king... his whole family was corrupted.
The first to be attacked was his daughter Rapunsel. Her hair came alive, growing long and wild, seizing and draining the life from anyone who go too close, while the princess herself became little more then a lifeless doll.
Then the queen herself was attacked. She fell into a deep sleep and could not be awakened. Each day that passes drains her youth and life force.
The king was in agony, not able to do anything to save his family or his people. He sent his knights after the witch, but none returned.
The land is now dark and desolate. Evil reigns. You do what you must to survive.
But there is a rumor that a precious magical artifact may be able to kill the evil witch. But the item's identity and it's location remain a mystery even the most dedicated scholars are unable to find the answer to...

This rp is about survival and finding the artifact to kill the witch. You can be any fairytale character you please, good or evil or both. For now the king, his daughter, the queen and the witch are NPC, but if you really want to play as one of them send me a pm telling me why and give me a sample post of how you would play the character.

Okay a few ground rules (don't make that face, every rp needs a few rules):
#1. NO GODMODDING. AT ALL. Any evidence of this will get a warning and will then be killed / removed from the rp.
#2. No fighting in the OOC. I mean it. You will get a warning and then be banned from the rp.
#3. You can be any fairytale character you want, but please make them twisted. Do not go for the obvious. Be creative.
#4. Any sex goes to PM. I'm not kidding on this.
#5. I reserve the right to add to the rules at any time as I see fit. password : enchanted
#6. Treat others the way you would want to be treated, both in the IC and OOC. No auto-hitting or puppeting other people's characters without permission.
#7. WARNING : this is a dark rp, so there will be blood and gore and horror. Do not join if you have a sensitive stomach.
#8. Mind the posting. If two people are posting back and forth that is fine, but try not to take it beyond five or six posts as it may be daunting for others to catch up later.

Sorry if I seem rather strict, but experience has taught me to be this way. It avoids problems in the future.

Brief History : Red was trained to be a hunter and forest guide by her father and brothers. When the witch took power, she changed the wolves of the forest into werewolves. Red watched her father and brothers be slaughtered. She received a slash across the face before finally killing the werewolf. She was bathed in it's blood and it mingled with her own, cursing her. One of her eyes became pale as the moon and on the night of the full moon she morphs into a werewolf herself. It's hard to be something that you despise with all of your being. She is searching for the ancient artifact, but not to kill the witch. No, she wants to use it to remove the curse from herself.
Personality : Quiet and blunt, very suspicious and not trusting of people, it's hard to earn her loyalty, but once you do she will never betray you... unless you betray her first...

Brief History : After her father died when she was little, she was left with her step mother and step sisters. They basically turned her into their maid and kept her locked inside of a closet for the next ten years when she wasn’t cleaning. She learned to amuse herself by smuggling books from her dead fathers library. This is where she learned an obsession over the martial arts and began to read them. She practiced with her broom as she cleaned, until one day when her stepmother came to bring her back to the closet, she hit her over the head with the broom and ran out into the streets. Slowly dying of starvation, a foreign man found her and took her in. He gave her free roam of his library and taught her swordplay, even giving her a sword. Her happiness didn’t last long, as the witch gained power months after her escape. The witch, jealous of Ella’s benefactor, sent men to burn his house. He attempted to defend his property, but was killed in the skirmish. Ella, not knowing what was going on, was caught off guard when the library suddenly caught aflame. She fled the house, the city, and made her home in the woods. She became bent on revenge on the witch, when she heard about this fable artifact. She now searches for it.
Personality : Ella is extremely wary of people, probably because of her years spent in a closet, but forms bonds with people quickly if they show any amount of nice-ness to her, real or not. She is extremely naïve and remains an optimist despite her upbringing. She is physically strong, but emotionally weak and easily falls for traps.
Family : If you consider her step-sisters and mother family, they’re technically alive and still looking for her. They side with the witch in the whole debacle.

Brief History: "... The prince was more astonished than ever; he did not know what to think. The little black figure approached him, and raising her veil, he saw the most beautiful white cat that ever was or ever will be. She looked very young and sad; she began to mew so softly and prettily that it went straight to the heart. She said to the prince: "King's son, you are welcome; my cat-like majesty is glad to see you."
"Madam Cat," said the prince, "it is very kind of you to receive rue so cordially, but you do not appear an ordinary animal; your gift of speech and your magnificent castle are strong proofs to the contrary."
"King's son," replied White Cat, "I beg you to leave off making me compliments; I am very simple in speech and manner, but I have a kind heart. Come," she continued, "let supper be served and the musicians cease, because the prince does not understand what they say." "Are they singing anything, madam?" he replied. "Certainly," she went on, "we have excellent poets here, and if you stay with us a little while you will be convinced of it." White Cat lived with many other felines in a large house, famous creatures, far and wide, visited the cat queen, offering gifts and trinkets, and in returned they received wealth and riches. She possessed the skill of speech and shifting into a humanoid form.
Her little kingdom was referred to as the 'Kingdom of Cats.' But alas, her once beautiful kingdom fell to ashes. The human prince whom she thought to have trusted left to bring an army, looting the Cat Kingdom of jewels and slaughtering what was once a beautiful race.
White Cat fled, constantly moving. Her once gentle nature grew into a passive aggressiveness.

Personality: She speaks rather little, unless addressed to. As expressionless as she appears, she does tend to feel joy as well as depression but seems to have trouble executing it despite it being such a simple task.
As a woman of a serious nature, its often hard for her to slow down and and enjoy things. She is often so caught up in her own mindset that she forgets to include the feelings of others. She can be over-analytic, yet small social graces fly right past her head. For the most part, shes pretty blunt as well. You probably shouldn't ask her if that dress makes you look fat if you only want feedback.

Side note: White Cat is usually seen as a feline. Her weapons aren't carried with her in this form, she usually hides them in hollow logs.

Pretty much. Only three people showed interested and of those three only two made CS's. So I guess no one wants to play... :( thanks for making a character though. I hope eventually to bring this back and try again.
