It's been a long night, hunting for food and running from the dogs. Those damn dogs. Always there to stop you. Garou (werewolves) have always saw the vampires as enemies. They smell of the wyrm. A beast over raged with jealousy for Gia, the Garous' mother. The dogs chased you for a while but you got away, for now. They're not the only ones you have to worry about though. You have fighting clans, fighting sects and hunters. Vampire hunters. Sometimes they're just as bad as the dogs. You stop to catch your breath in a dark ally. Just then you notice the sun peaking over the horizon. Fright takes over your body. You don't have enough time to get back to your home and rest. You have to find a place to hide before the sun transposes you into ash. Then a howl emerges from a short distance. "They're close" you think as you pry at the man hole. After trying for a bit you get it open. Pulling it back over, and climbing down the latter you hear the trample of large feet. They almost had you. You sigh with relief as you make your way to the darkest part of the sewer to rest until night, where from the shadows you'll take your victims.
Welcome children of the night! First off I want to say thank you for looking at this and taking time out of your day to read through this. Second, I am only accepted five characters. Character Creation is going to be one of the hardest parts about this. It will require a lot of reading and information gathering. I talk about that more when I get to it. But, pretty much what I’m saying is “the best, well thought out characters get the part!” *insert stupidly deep voice here*. So think about your characters a lot. Make sure you feel involved. Don’t look at them as a character, look at them as another part of you. I want you to feel attracted to them. As if your character was your child. Also, vampires in this game aren’t the ones from legende. They can enter homes uninvited, garlic, crosses and silver does nothing, stabbing them through the heart doesn’t kill them, only puts them in a coma until the stake is removed. They must be burned to fully die. The things that are the same though are sunlight and fire. Vampires are walking corpses. Their organs don’t work and their flesh is cold. Fire burns them badly and sunlight turns them to ash.
Before I list the reading and info stuff and the character sheet layout I want to set up some rules.
1. No deaths unless the player agrees, doesn’t post for over a month, or the GM sees the player is causing problems. (Which shouldn’t happen very often).
2. I want little drama in the OOC. You will get two warnings, both in your PMs and in the OOC. The third time it continues Your character will be killed.
3. No god modding your characters. I want all characters to be equal and progress equally. I don’t want one character to rule over the others. (Keep in mind you can all choose to be a group. You may also choose to fight each other while fighting the antagonist).
4. Make sure to read every post carefully, It may pertain to you.
5. Make sure to read every post that is bolded or in italics made by the GM. Especially in the IC! Bold letters will mean that the GM is describing the scene and setting. Normal type will mean the GM is in character. (The GM most likely won’t use italics in the IC).
6. I want medium length posts. At least a paragraph.
7. No double posting. (Only the GM is a loud to do this when setting up a scene or setting)
8. If you need to take a break please inform the GM in either a PM or of the OOC. I will understand. Somethings are more important.
9.The golden Rule: Have fun!
I hope you all can follow these rules, sorry if they seem like a little much.
Now, finally for the character sheets! Yay! Like I said earlier, there will be a little reading involved. If you are familiar with Vampire the Masquerade (VTM) then you should be okay. Otherwise, I will have a hider and will post links to all the clans so you may pick one. A clan isn’t just a title. A clan lets you pick your vampiric powers. Example: The Malkavians have a power that lets them inflict their own insanity on people. Clans are very important to the game, please make sure to read up on all the clans and their powers.
Another thing, all clans have three main powers. You get three “dots” to spend for these powers. Example: Malkavians have three powers; Auspex,Obfuscate,Dementation. You can put two dots in a single power and one in another. Or you could put all three dots in one power. Or you could put one dot in each power. (By clicking on the name of the power in the box name “disciplines” you will be taken to the page for it. The page will give you an overview of the power and will list what each dot does. The box that is labeled “disciplines" is on the right under the clan symbol).
