@Nightrunner and @TheMusketMan, post a character sheet when you've actually got an idea. Empty skeletons (you guys didn't even try and come up with a freaking name, or fill out your notes - not even character-dependent) are not appreciated. They're ugly and space-wasting.

It's well-written, it appeals to me because you cheated and used something that references Fallout, and it's a cool concept. However, it's also ridiculously overpowered, especially when we're explicitly looking for low-tier or under-developed meta's, and it's contradictory to in-universe 'laws' that have already been set out. A meta of Jackdaw's level would be turned over to Lex or Savage or any major leader immediately, not brought up within an independent merc outfit, and after 'going rogue', definitely would not have lived through Deathtroopers to wake up in jail. You wouldn't have woken up.

Recommendations are to reduce your powerset (better-than-average human, perfect shot, or skilled cqc combatant, not all three) and to bring your character's history in line with the established in-universe laws.

Frankly I find this character bizzare because it's a sloth but you've endeared yourself to Wraith and a character being 'weird' is not a good enough reason to reject it, so for now this is doing well. I'll review it again when it's complete, however.

This is another case of 'the new regime wouldn't take the chance'. Not only does he stick out because of his red skin, he's also a descendant of Trigon, a supremely powerful being, and one whose children have caused considerable trouble in the past (cough cough RAVEN). Again, we're looking for non-obvious and low-tier/undeveloped meta's and magi's. This is neither.

Quoting takes hefty chunks from your character limit, so this adventure will continue in another post...

Personally, I have reservations over the skillset of your character, although his age lessens the blow somewhat, and also how Jackdaw obviously this is Batman born-again. We're not against characters in this RP eventually taking up the mantles of fallen legends - but personally I'm not sure I want it to be this obvious. However, it's a complete sheet, and also probably my favourite so far (and Wraith has expressed his love as well), so pending input from my colleagues on his power-level, and whether we're comfortable with near-expy characters, consider this an official Roman Approval.

Unfinished

Ew, formatting. Can anyone say "wall of text"?

But for some less superficial concerns, this is another 'good shot/skilled cqc combatant', with additional powersets. Someone who can make cool stuff from junk doesn't need to be a good shot or a martial artist, they just need the salvaged equipment of a deathcruiser to turn into a mini-nuke launcher that blows up a hammer imbued with a world-stone so that his teammate can grab it and harness the power of friendship and bitching one-liners to use purple to blow up Lee Pace.

What I'm saying is, Rocket Raccoon is cooler than this character right now.

So my main concern is how your character is probably the most powerful one on the roster right now but you mention how he's not even reached 'untapped levels' of power. Which is worrying when so far his power is 'create fire that burns literally everything' and he has dragon breath and fireballs that, and I quote, "come at minimal cost". So cool off.

Also that magi had fire first so maybe another powerset entirely? Because right now I'd straight up reject yours for either reason.

The adventure has continued! Is it obvious I'm doing this in the sun with a lot of beer?

@Roman
Hmm, you're right on parts. I guess I didn't think it would be much of a big deal as I thought the starting powers of our characters wouldn't be as low as what you've been saying in your pre-reviews of the characters. Granted, I probably went just a tad over what would be acceptable for starting characters, but still.

I'll see about either thinking about a less-powerful form of fire or going with a totally different concept and/or character entirely.

Yeah Lanterns aren't allowed, so I want for the next best thing. Era-based heroes like The Question who seem weirdly out of place with heroes like Martian Manhunter and Aquaman. I'm not the biggest DC guy, but I like the weirder books and characters.

Also, thank you for for the approval. Dagger isn't exactly going to be exactly one-hundred percent overpowered badass, but just enough to live up to the name.

I finished my sheet. I also changed his background a little bit so now he even fits with the canon (sort of).

I didn't make it to be cool. I was making a non-superpowered character who just happened to be good at shooting. Sorry that my formatting isn't up to your standards but if it's that much of a bother that you need to be rude about it and actually say that you think Rocket Raccoon is cooler than my character then I'd prefer to just not be in this roleplay.

Bye.

It didn't seem like a joke. I mean, I don't mean to bad mouth the GM or anything, but most of his post just came off as mean for no reason.

So, @Lord Wraith, I went and bought all of the issues of Old Man Logan just to see what it was like and I finished the first issue. Pretty interesting stuff.

I've completed my sheet to my satisfaction for now. You guys can scrutinize it. I'd expect some flack because it's direct emulation of The Batman, but I'm curious if anything else stands out. My honest inspiration was The Ghost Army of WWII.

Honestly, I didn't mean to come off as rude. I don't mean to offend you - or anyone, for that matter - I just have a rather...acerbic way of going about things. Most of the time people shake it off but occasionally I do strike a nerve.

I apologise. But I will be making more jokes, though.

I mean I watch the movies and shows but I just can't get into their comics. I enjoy DC more in that way although I find most of their movies lacking in comparison.

Yeah, I prefer Marvel movies over DC sometimes, but the CWverse(arrow, FLash) are top-notch. Well, at least Flash is haha. Arrow is lacking this season.

I edited the powers to your satisfactory, but can you explain your problems with the history? He was a baby when he was found, under rubble, so Lex or anyone else wouldn't have been notified of his existence.

He never went rogue. He was a legitimate mercenary through and through; his father, Reggie - a significantly more skilled mercenary, had betrayed Savage by not going after the rebels, like Reggie had promised to do, and the Company was ambushed and taken out. Jackdaw was captured due to the combat enhancement he showed, and because he was the last of the Company; they wanted some sort of money out of this ordeal.

Sorry if I'm not making sense, but do you understand? Or do I need to re-evaluate everything?

Also, I was looking for a cool name for the mercenary group, and then I glanced down at my copy of Fallout 3 and decided I liked Talon Company. Plus, it goes well with Jack's future alias.

I must've been the only guy to actually like The Superior Spider-Man series. I feel Otto Octavius really lived up to his billing. NOW's Uncanny X-Men was great, as was All New. But I haven't read much else lately besides Secret Wars #1. I wanted to read Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), but it's unavailable to me. I stopped reading Ultimate Spider-Man after they killed Peter Parker. But the Daredevil series is a definite recommendation. No question.

Despite the fantastic ongoing Daredevil series, I prefer DCs concepts.

Actually, I have one slight issue with Talon Company. You mention they were former Deathtroopers, but all Deathroopers are enhanced with a Kryptonian Amazonian Love Cocktail. Wouldn't exactly be in any of the villain's best interests to let them roam free.
