I hate that when I type in “guy with dreads” I have to add the word “black”

I hate that when I type in “___ teenager” I see links to porn websites before I go over to the image tab.

Best solution: don't use character pictures. Just write out a description.

But I LOVE having an absolute picture that lets other people know what my character looks like. if anything I'll use both, and just write what the picture doesn't show.

Also, fuck white guys with dreads.

Make your own pictures. Then you also dont have to type what the picture dosnt show since you already put those details in the picture.

Wait... I see several flaws in this theory and hence retract the statement bwfore making it. I only post this now for the lol

Stop being a shitty writer and maybe you won't have to use pictures :^)

Srs doe, writing descriptions sucks but it's the only way I can assure that people know what my character actually looks like. Do you know how hard it is to find a picture that matches what you imagine your character looks like? Fucking impossible.

If people can't piece together an image in their heads of what your character looks like despite you going into great detail is their fault, not yours.

As for those who can, don't stress about them not knowing your character's appearance down to the specific cellular structure of the fibers of their hair. It's perfectly okay to get a general idea of what a character looks like and then fill in the little gaps yourself. A lot more fun, from my experience.
