I'm going back to school soon and have decided to major in physics. Since I'm bored I'm just curious as to what people are planning on majoring in/do major in/have majored in~

Major in majoring the field. Direct field operations. Trip over AC cables. Claim resulting scar is result of an IED explosion to get laid when you come back to the states.

Just joking. Graphic design.

I didn't mean to imply that most folk around here are somehow unlike most phys majors or something - people are just people, regardless of what they study. Although I would argue that, at least in my experience, physics students tend to be a... particular breed. I just meant that few people around here actually are physics/science majors.

I have a degree in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing, and a minor in Dance.

And yes, I'm doing something that's verrrry distantly related to my field. see mom and dad i can accomplish something

Foreign area studies (combination of history, economics, and poli sci) with a minor in Japanese and four semesters of Chinese on the back as well, and an engineering core, with follow-on pilot school. Service academies are fun.

Interestingly I'm probably headed back to school soon. I get to choose between more engineering for dollars, more politics for impact, or writing for passion. This is what being retired at 28 looks like.

Don't diss it, you might be the only one of us employed in fifteen years. It's easier to replace white collar suites and low level physicians with computers than it is to replace a nurse with the same. Nobody wants Mr. Handy caring for their needs.
