The witching hour dawns on the troubled plane of Innistrad. Sorin Markov, now Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, returns to his home plane to find it under siege by the nefarious demon Tibalt, a fellow planes walker. With the realm's protector, and Sorin's own creation, locked away within the Helvault to battle the demon Griselbrand, the task of maintaining balance upon the plane falls to a small group of fledgling planes walkers, hand picked by Sorin himself for their talents. While Sorin's powers and experience is near limitless, the demon Tibalt is at no shortage of allies, and just as quick a thinker as the legendary vampire. And so our story begins, with the young group attempting to understand their new surroundings, new abilities, as well as their new compatriots.

I know it's brief, but I wanted to get this up and going as fast as I could. Anyway! Here's the deal, you are planes walkers who have recently had their sparks ignited. Sorin Markov has sought you out, and convinced you to come to Innistrad (I'll leave the particulars of that encounter up to your imaginations) He has tasked you with freeing his creation, Avacyn, as well as maintaining balance among the humans, vampires, monsters, demons and all other manner of beings on Innistrad. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve, as far as the plot goes, but that's all you know for now. Onto character sheets! I'll put a more formal outline together, but for now just come up with:

Name:
Age:
Race:
Appearance:
Powers:
Personality:
Bio:
Misc:

I'm always open for questions! And as an afterword, if this gets more interest than 5 people, i'll make a second pod for it/make a new role play on a different plane. We'll see where it goes, and I can't wait to see character sheets!

I'm not telling the story of Innistrad, i'm telling my own story using Innistrad and the characters of the Magic multiverse as tools.

Edit: And who the fuck are you to tell me there's no where to go on a plane in constant turmoil? If all you're going to do is come onto one of my threads and criticize me, then kindly fuck off. You didn't have to click the link, and you didn't have to post since you aren't interested.

Name: : Mars Rose aka Saber

Age: 21

Race: Human

Appearance:

Powers: Killing spells, fire magicks, healing magicks, and artifact conjuration (mainly sword equipments)

Personality: Mars is a warmonger. He loves everything about it. The smell of burnt corpses, the life and death struggle, the tactics of individual and group combat all call to him. He loves the rush of a good fight. He is quick to fight but he is quicker to think. He will not attack an opponent if he knows he will lose. He has spend many years traveling planes to find conflict after conflict to serve as a mercenary, He cares little about the cause he fights for or who falls at the end of his blades. While he does make treaties with some demons, he ends up leaning towards good in the end. While he dislikes peace, he strives to bring an end to the wars he "plays" in to a decisive end.

Bio: Mars was born on a plane on one of the far flung edges of the Multiverse. His tribe was peaceful and nomadic until they were attacked by a more advanced culture from the plains. His people brought into slavery under the banner of their conquerors. Mars was only three at the time of his enslavement so he was taken to be raised as a slave soldier. Being Perfectly expendable to the empire that he called master there was never any need to give him any comforts. Until he was 8, He assisted as much as he was able around the front line camps, treating the military wounded. His medical training continued after that as he began to train to fight as a soldier. When still he was 16 years old was sent on a raid to enslave a tribe much like his own. That is when fate intervened. The people he fought set a trap. As they fled into a mountain pass, Mars and the rest of his slave troopers were ordered to follow them. The pass was narrow and it was home to a dragon who the villagers knew how to hid from. The Dragon, enraged and territorial, attacked his unit. They were powerless to stop it. As Mars took cover and raised his iron shield to defend himself the Dragons fire ripped through the narrow chasm. From behind his shield he saw the closest thing he had to friends burn away. As his shield melted from the heat of dragon fire, Mars prayed for the first time. And for the first time it was answered. On the edge of death, his desire to live awoken his spark sending him burning and plummeting through the Blinding Eternities. He crashed through the barrier between worlds as he planeswalked for the first time. He landed in the middle of the Mirrodin conflict and learning magic from that world and eventually mastered how to planeswalk and has been seeking conflict ever sense.

Misc: Always carries a sword on his back. When sheathed it is invisible. He sometimes uses it while shield like a blunt Broadsword. He calls it his saber and that is where he gets his code name "Saber." The sword originated on Mirrodin. I hope to reveal which sword it is in roleplay.

I vaguely remember you. Where you apart of the last magic the gathering roleplay I did? The idea of Elspeth and Jace hooking up has been presented to me before. For this roleplay I would allow it. I am going to adjust the setting to be more lore friendly. Meaning this will be post Avacyn Restored Innastrad.

I am trying to imagine what such an offspring of Elspeth and Jace would be like. It is scary to imagine a being that can trace his magic talent to the keeper of the Guild pact and his martial prowess to the Sun God's own champion. Also, due to the nature or the sparks, a child of two planeswalked has the same chance of being a planeswalked as it's parents but crazier things have happened.

I did various RP's together with you.
The first was a Skyrim RP, which died way too quickly.
The second was one of yourself, plane Prox, with the Eldrazi.

I'm trying to write out an interesting history...
Since this is set in Innistrad, does that mean Alara is already destroyed?

And let me get this straight, we (the players) are planes walkers called to Innistrad by Sorin Markov to help him release Avacyn who locked herself into the hell vault because that was the only way to stop Griselbrand? And while doing that trying to restore peace and balance between the Humans, Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, Demons and Angels?

Typing up a CS right now...
oh, last question... the last name of my character, would that be Beleren or Tirel?

Hahaha, i had forgotten about the skyrim roleplay. Ok, i do recall you.

Alara was never destroyed. It did get ravaged by the uncontrolled mana that were released when the shards were smooshed togather. Nicol Bolas actually healed Alara in a way when he orchestrated the merger of the shards. Of course he wanted to steal the mana for himself. Evil intentions uncertain results. Now, one does not have to be a planeswalker the walk from Bant to Jund. There are no longer the 5 shards of Alara there is just the plane of Alara. Elspeth is troubled because Bant is now subject to Deceit and ambition unlike before the merger.

Also, as for what you think about the story of this roleplay. I believe you are correct. That does seem to be the original intent of the creator, the silent The Silent Type. I However am thinking of setting this years after the events of Avacyn Restored. Tibalt has returned a little older and much more powerful and aimed to take the plane from the Ancient Sorin Markov.

As for the last name of the child, I have no idea. I do not know the naming rituals of Bant, Theros, Ravinca, or Isperia. It is possible the female gives up her name for her husband's like European cultures do. The names could be combined to proclaim both proud lineages. It is also possible that the child would take the name of the parent who he or she spent the most time with or took the most abilities from. I could also see a female child taking Beleren while a male child would take Tirel. It is up to you. Planeswalkers seem to be a part of a culture all their own.
