Just waiting to see if anyone talks to the press before moving the story along.

Speaking of which, I had a thought today, and wanted your opinions. Periodically throughout the RP, it might be a good idea to have an update that's all or mostly just a news report that acts as an IC recap (good for newcomers) and also presents new roleplaying opportunities. For instance, the news might announce that a certain supervillain has been spotted, or that there will be a gathering of the city's wealthy (good for making connections but also a prime target). That sort of thing.

Anyone like that idea?

I can dig it. It'll help keep track of everything that's going on, and a neat way to know how the general populace sees our antics.

Then I'm doing my job right. Though Grammer had a show called Boss a few years back where he played a much more sinister character, he was great in the role.

Your dude's enough of a badass that he could escape somehow. Besides, in these comic book universes the police seem to be a little more bumbling than I would like in reality.

@Marik, the car wasn't moving yet. It was still parked. And, on top of that, as a junior detective, Carla would not yet be allowed to drive the car, hence why she was waiting for her senior officer....

And on top of that, in modern police cars, there is a layer of wire in between two layers of glass which separate the policemen in front from the criminals in back. So, if your character reached around and hurt the officers, he would have to slice open his hands into little bits in the process.

Also, how would your character grab her hair? It's too short in the back (in the image I posted) to be grabbed and held onto.

What I'm saying is, your post makes absolutely no sense at all, in or out of context.

Any reason it couldn't be a flashback to the previous night? I just don't want to start jumping ahead while people are still doing stuff in the present- I allowed that once as a GM and it ended up killing the RP.


Eh, it's fine, I don't mind waiting until it's evening in the IC.

God damn it. I’ll get to changing it, but first I’ll try to explain what was going through my mind.

1. I think it would be rather silly to assume that I’d have to wait for an event for the police car to get moving, thus it was heading to the station when Dean woke up. Also, I have no idea how the police operate, so you’ll have to excuse me for not knowing that there would be two officers in the car.

2. I completely forgot about the stuff that partitioned off the front and the back. You got me on that one.

3. For hair grabbing, I’d just assume that he leaned forward, taking in consideration that he’d be able to do so with no partition, and grab the hair.
