Um, this may seem a little (or maybe more so) strange, but to tell you the truth I really just want someone to huggle~ No, not in a weird ewwy way; I've been very upset lately (actually a long time now, for reasons I won't burden you with), and feel like I need a little help pulling myself together~ So, if it's ok, I'd like to engage in a roleplay about which I have decided very little so far~...! What I have ascertained already is that it will be kinda anime/manga-ish (by which I mean charas will preferably have Japanese names and there will be use of suffixes relating to the feelings between those involved, e.g. '-kun', '-chan' etc., and I visualize all roleplays in my mind in anime form, which I hope you will too, at least here), and I would feel most comfortable roleplaying with someone who is quite gentle-natured and patient, for two main reasons. Firstly and most importantly, I'm honestly not sure how long it might take me to feel better and don't want to pressurize someone who doesn't have a LOT of time on their hands for this, especially if I was to end up inevitably getting attached to you (for which I apologize in advance~!) and, well, things might get messy... Um, secondly, I've always struggled with people and remained completely silent in class and things, so it takes someone extremely patient and gentle to coax me out of my 'shell'~ (C-can you blame me~...? *snuggled up inside literal shell with cushions and plushies scattered everywhere* It's just so cosy and safe in here, with no scary social-ness~... >///w///< ) In my current emotional state, I feel even more timid than before, so I'm more likely to struggle~...
Ooh, um one thing I forgot to mention is my slightly odd roleplaying style~ I refrain from writing in a novel style because I don't like the third-person-ness; my chara embodies all of the things about myself that I feel I can't express in 'real' life (kyaaa, I hate that term~...), such as... well, talking at all~ So essentially, my chara is really my 'inner-self'; not quite a fully independent character of my 'real' self but the personification of my 'true' self~ Thusly, I prefer to have a more "this is ME and I want to feel properly settled into my 'role'" approach by using these (*) starry thingies I don't know the real name of to kinda act as a border for an action being carried out, [these] hard brackets / parentheses thingies if you'd like to fully describe a setting, regular brackets for a chara's thoughts and regular text for speech out loud~ Also, I don't really like to say "you" or "I/me" when describing an action, and don't like reading that if someone else does it (kyaaa, I'm sorry I'm so fussy~...! Q///w///Q ), so for example instead of writing "*hugs you*", I would prefer "*hugs [Name]/him/her/them*", or simply "*hugs*" (though of course I'd try to be MUCH more in-depth than in this example)~
You may have also noticed some slightly... NONEXISTENT words here, as well as my lovely squiggly line thingies~ That would be my 'patented' SakuSpeak™~! Only I use this, and my reasons for doing so are:
1) It feels natural to me~
2) I don't like using full-stops personally because they feel too austere~
3) I love cute-ifying words~! ♥ ^///w///^
I apologize if this bothers you~... It doesn't mean I don't have a real vocabulary or appreciate proper spelling, I just have some unique (non-)word choices~!
Um, I think I've covered everything~...? Ooh, wait, I should make it clear I'm not solely looking for someone to give me mental 'therapy' through roleplay and then saying "thank you for serving me, toodles~!" - I'd like to find someone who shares my interests in anime, manga and videogames (among other things, but those are the absolute necessities for me to even have a chance of opening up to anyone) and get to know them here, then hopefully become closer and play videogames together etc. U-um, not that anyone would have to, if they didn't want to~... M-my point is that I don't want to simply use someone and then abandon them~ If I was to truly get along with someone to the point of them bringing me happiness again (which I hope to also give them), I'd hope to continue knowing them~
Um, well I think I've explained just about everything now~... Ah, except for the fact that I don't really like 'planning out' a roleplay or drafting up Character Sheets - that isn't how a natural life works (even if it isn't 'real', it matters more than enough to me for it to merit the term "life"), and I'd rather learn about someone's chara by actually getting to know them~ In short, do as you like and say what you want, just let things flow naturally based on what you feel is right and be yourself (or at least your chara, if they aren't like mine)~ Ok, this time I think I'm all donesies~! If you've read this far, thank you so much for enduring my incessant demands~! >///w///< I'm quite nervous~... But also excited~!
If you'd like to roleplay together or feel that I haven't already answered a question you have, please let me know~! I prefer to roleplay in a pm thread, primarily because I'm more-than-a-little self-conscious of what people might think, especially as I know how serious and professional some roleplayers can be~... I may consider roleplaying in a group thread if enough people wanted to, but I don't expect that and as aforementioned I'm not good with people, so really I'd feel most comfortable with one person in an at least semi-private environment~ I hope we'll get along~...! ♥ ^///w///^
