First off, the Unamerican Activities Force are absolute masters of countering deception. Their ancestors routed communists, and proceeded to pass down every espionage tactic known to man. The second they see this woman carrying around a machete gladius they will put two and two together and without any warning she will receive a .50 MG round between the eyes. Even if carrying a gladius seems like a trivial reason to kill someone, they don't ask questions or take chances, and the gladius is the signature weapon of the Legion.

Second, the Legion, and Caesar himself, specifically forbid women from fighting. Men in the Legion are wholly misogynistic, and degrade every woman under their rule as sub-human. Even if she had demonstrated an ability to execute all of those weaklings, she would be nailed to a cross for interfering and that would be that. No man loyal to Caesar or the Legion would even consider using a woman for any kind of combat or spying role, period.

And speaking of ability, an untrained woman fighting back Brotherhood of Steel members and violent tribals? That would be breaking the rules of the RP (can't be born good at something, or be good at something without training). Brotherhood members in power armor alone would absolutely slaughter those tribals and the Legion, especially if the men in her tribe were weak. Even with training, she would be dead right along with them.

Bottom line, we aren't going to be making any special snowflake exceptions to the lore of the Legion just to make this happen, and even if we did, she would be dead as soon as the UAF got a look at her.

Fair enough. I'll look back through the sheet and fix it up.

Is this RP still open? I have finals coming up but it wouldn't be long before I could have a CS or something.

We aren't exactly close to the beginning of this RP, and we are still open.

We don't have a real limit to the number of people we're going to allow in, unless of course we start racking up a ridiculous amount. Personally I hope that doesn't become the case. The more people we get, the more groups there are going to be that are doing their own thing.

A roving band of 9 or 10 random fuckers from all walks of life doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and can get chaotic with all of those characters having different personal motives. So naturally we aren't all going to be in the same place at once all of the time.

I might not be able to help myself from working on a profile anyway, but I won't be free from Finals for the next week.

EDIT: Quick question, would a ghoul be able to cross the Mississippi by walking along the bottom?

They could probably swim. I think ghouls still need air.

So, i'm looking to join this RP by posting a character sheet. However i'm having a bit of trouble discerning how it's been done in the past here. have you guys posted here and then moved the sheet to the character area once it's been approved? or have you posted there and then checked here?

@Dasomen probably best to check here first, but the GM & co-gm are welcoming so will just ask you to alter stuff if you post in CS tab.

Also, Question:
How does sub-characters sound? No real backround just a basic description and when you post you can let readers know that your talking about your sub character/s. Sub characters could be killed without worrying about where to go next (just make another after a while), with no real ties to your actual character they could interact with other characters and give them an opportunity for combat or romance without them being too precious to you or others.

EG:
Harker, the gang leader of a looting squad of 5. He and his group have basic clothes on, some even mave makeshift armour from rags and things they found on the road. Carrying mainly baseball bats and crowbars, Harker is the only one in the gang with a pistol. Leading his men through the wreckage of an apartment building he is currently having a shoot off with two armed men, each side on the opposite ends of a long corridor.

Harkers pistol is close to breaking point, being already pretty shabby. Two of his lads are sneaking around the back.

- Something like that could add to the RP and give other characters the opportunity to hear the gun shots, enter the buildin and run into the back of Harkers men sneaking around, leading to a three way fight perhaps.

I'll work on my character and post it here. mind you that won't be for a bit. if one of the GMs posts here before i get my sheet up asking me to put it over on character instead, well my page is set to auto refresh so i should catch it. (got 2 tabs open for the same page, one set to auto refresh the other not. ). Hopefuly i dont screw up too bad.

A low amount of radiation allegedly leaves some ghouls feeling "healthier". However, with the insanely high levels in the river, a ghoul would certainly go feral, and be turned into a 'glowing one'. The Mississippi is about a half mile wide (or 800 meters) in most places, assuming that a ghoul could swim that far through strong currents, they'd be absorbing 2000 rads per second at the least while in the water.

@Valais 66 Yes, but I mean, a character that isn't a character? if that makes sense. Someone you throw in once and see what people do with, or follow as they run around stealing things until someone elses character shoots them ans steals all their stuff. I dont know, just adds to the RP population without having to spam NPC's in your own characters IC posts.

Actually, it's never specifically stated that high radiation levels turn ghouls feral. Also there are known non-feral Glowing Ones in game, Jason Bright being an example of one the PC doesn't take radiation damage from.
