The Silver Dagger
The OOC is up: Silver Dagger OOC
IC prompt
It has been a year and a half since a major disaster occurred in the city of Temrin. A warlock was the catalyst for a dangerous chain of events that turned half the city to ash and cinders. Now, people have just started to recover, and in some parts of the ruined town, life is starting to resemble the way it used to be. However, the city’s leaders know that Temrin is now more vulnerable than ever. After all, manticores, firetoads, and werewolves aren’t works of fiction to the people of Temrin, but before these events, they were muted to an extent. Where other towns and cities feared the possibility of attacks and went pale at the mention such hell-wrought creatures, Temrin’s population could rest easy knowing that it had protectors.
The Silver Dagger was an organization that specialized in solving problems of the occult. Warriors and alchemists, fighters and priests all came together in order to curb the encroaching tide of supernatural and demonic entities that plague other parts of the world. It was they, who are the reason that Temrin still stands at all. During the catastrophe though, most of them were either lost in the battle or resulting explosion.
Vincent Tahler, the former captain of Temrin’s guard, wracked with stress and survivor's guilt, felt he owed it to both the people he was charged with protecting and those who had fallen to rebuild the guild from the ground up.
Putting the word out, he hopes that there are individuals, for whatever the reason, who are willing to help aid him in the fight to protect the city of Temrin.
OOC prompt
The Silver Dagger is a fantasy roleplay of the sword and sorcery variety. Obviously player characters will take on the role of prospective members of the guild. The world that the story takes place in is developed to a certain extent. My co-GM, Riknas, and I have thoroughly developed the story. We have designed a narrative for people to participate in, alter and change. In a sense, it will work kind of like an interactive adventure but mostly affected by the writing. Characters can and will guide the story, and people will be introduced, and if the story necessitates it, people will die.
If you have any questions about the setting, roleplay, or story, feel free to ask myself or Riknas and we will be happy to answer. If you’re interested though, please chime in.
