The following will be posted a Lore section of the actual roleplay..
I'm also going to include a map of the area we will be roleplaying in.. Once I put one together.
Cretaure Lore...
A brief description of each creature's abilities and weaknesses.
Hunter
-A being, usually a human, who hunts down the supernatural and saves people from monsters, demons, ghosts and other creatures. They're mortal, so easy to kill.
Prophet(s) of the Lord
-A prophet's purpose is to be God's voice on Earth. Castiel refers to them as "mouthpieces and conduits for the inspired word." Mortal as well.
Angels
-Angels are powerful, celestial beings created by God to serve as his attendants and messengers, but also as soldiers in his war against Lucifer and his demons. They are native to Heaven and are imbued with both holy white light as well as considerable power. Their true form is nothing less than that of holy righteous beings which are beautiful as well as hazardous, overwhelming, and terrifying all at the same time; ranging from two to six (maybe more) large feathered wings on their backs, four animalistic heads with halos of light around them, and heights as tall as skyscrapers. Angels can only be killed with an angel's blade.
Demons
-Demons are malevolent spirits created by Lucifer. They are created from corrupted human souls that have endured extensive torture in Hell by Alastair and other demons. They become corrupted and extremely evil, and also very powerful, in this process. Similar to Angels, they require a Vessel to walk the earth, though are able to roam in their smoke form. Demons cannot touch or cross a salt line, nor can they be in contact with iron. The only known way to kill a demon is The Colt or the Demon Knife.
Rougaru
-Rougarus are born and live as humans for all intents and purposes, typically being unaware of their condition, but at a certain age they will suddenly begin craving large quantities of food. This condition is not a virus; rather, it is passed down genetically. A person who possesses this gene will eventually give in to the urge to feed and will devour a human. The change starts out with an increased hunger for all food, but quickly transforms into a powerful craving for flesh, specifically human. The change itself is very fast, occurring within minutes of the Rougaru's first bite of human flesh. Once the Rougaru gives in to its desire to feed on a human, there is no going back; the Rougaru will lose its human appearance and change into a monster. Rougaru's can only be killed with fire.
Skin Walker
-Skinwalkers are considered by hunters to be werewolf cousins because they have similar characteristics. They shape shift into an animal, they are killed by silver weapons, they infect people with a single bite, and they feed on human hearts. Unlike werewolves, skinwalkers' transformation into a canine is complete and they are not limited by the phases of the moon. Skinwalkers can change into their animal form at any time, day or night. Skinwalkers also mostly change into canines instead of a wolf-human hybrid like werewolves. Like other creatures such as vampires, and real canines, they seem to have a pack mentality, as they are led by a pack leader, who in turn answers to the Alpha Skinwalker.
Werewolf
-Werewolves, also known as Lycanthropes, are a race of partially-human supernatural creatures, able to morph into a combination of human and wolf. It has been stated that werewolves and skinwalkers are cousins. There is no known cure for lycanthropy. They are killed by silver weapons.
Changeling
-Changelings are humanoid creatures with discolored, slimy skin, hollow eyes, and a round mouth with many teeth. They can appear human, but their true nature is revealed in reflection. They feed on humans, specifically on synovial fluid. Changelings are only killed with fire.
Fairy
-Fairies are mischievous supernatural beings that come in a variety of forms. They can only be seen by those who have been to their realm or if they choose to be seen. Can be killed with iron or silver.
Arachne
-An arachne is a creature that can create strong webs, just like real spiders can do, so they can trap their victims with ease. They are also capable of changing humans into arachnes by biting them, in order to propagate their species. Arachnes can even kill humans with poisoning through their bites. It is implied that they feed upon human flesh, but this has not been confirmed visually. Their vision is also like that of actual spiders; due to their multiple eyes, their field of vision is split into several images. To kill an arachne you have to behead it.
Ghost
-Ghosts, also called Spirits, are souls of deceased humans that did not get into Heaven or Hell and are stuck on Earth. The word Ghost is a common term for a soul that did not move on to an after life after they perished. They typically reside in The Veil, but they can occasionally appear in the physical plane. Descriptions of the apparition of ghosts vary widely: the mode of manifestation can range from an invisible presence to translucent or wispy shapes, to realistic, life-like visions. To kill a ghost, you must salt and burn whatever object (or bones) they are attached to.
Ghoul
-Ghouls are scavenger creatures that live in graveyards and traditionally feed on the flesh and blood of the dead. At times ghouls will change their diet and will feed on living humans instead of the dead. Ghouls can also take the form of any person they have eaten, whether the person is still alive or already dead. The only thing that can kill a Ghoul is decapitation or complete destruction of the head.
Wraith
-Wraiths feed on brain fluids, which can be extracted through a spike located in its wrists. They introduce it in a weak spot behind the ear to easily get to the victim's brain. Wraiths can use it as a weapon, but it seems to be easy to break. Victims with their brain fluids sucked out are left with completely dried brains. Wraiths are killed with silver weapons.
Leviathan
-The Leviathans were ancient, primordial monsters, as well as God's very first beasts. Thus, they pre-date angels, humans, and the soul itself. The creatures proved to be too hungry and destructive, so God created Purgatory and locked them inside. They bleed black ooze. Leviathans can only be killed with a righteous man's bone soaked in specific blood, but they can be slowed down by decapitation or exposure to the chemical borax.
