Fallout 3 VS Fallout: New Vegas

With Fallout 4 being on the horizon, I have been motorboating the titties of FNV lately. And, I have to confess, I prefer New Vegas over 3. I just like it way better, am I the only one who thinks this? I just never got into FO3 the way I did FNV.

So which do you prefer?

I like Fallout 3 more. Being able to jump up mountains? Fuck yeah. Luck isn't really necessary? Of fucking course. Insane glitches? I liked New Vegas more for the main quest.

However I don't think NV is that great for replaying.

I would guess 3 is better for that, but I haven't played it for a long time.

New Vegas was always more of a survival simulation to me, but I liked the stories and world in 3 better.

Personaly, I liked the earler games better. It had stratergy and ammo comsumption. Not a pause screen to shoot things, maybe im just hipster

I think both FO3 and F:NV are very replayable.

New Vegas was always more of a survival simulation to me, but I liked the stories and world in 3 better.


Survival is one of the biggest attractions for me, I won't play it in anything but Hardcore mode. Also a bunch of mods that make the game 1000 times harder.

I dunno, it's just something about being a wanderer in a desert, exploring decrepit towns and bunkers, every living thing you see is a matter of life or death and finding civilized settlements offers satisfaction and a sense of hard living that FO3 just can't provide me. I guess that's why I'm a fan of the Fallout 1 and 2 for that same reason.

I can't really tell if you're trying to imitate a hipster or not, because while the things you say are something a hipster would say, they're also such a misrepresentation/simplification of 3/NV's mechanics they're almost like parody.

Im I am serious. They basicly remade a shooting skyrim, the weird slowmo shooting thing makes any accuracy non exsistant. When have you ever shot a weapon that isnt a sniper? The first ones had a thing that none of the others had... A STORY! It had lore. Its was stategic and stuff was rare
