That's why Dominus is so insistent on its Terms of Service. Two words: Protection Clause...

What might make you ever think that?

Actually, does anyone have Alaska? Mmmm... oil...

Alaska's oil reserves are pitiful. Most of Alberta's oil reserves are currently technological unrecoverable, but being that this is 2050 and there has (I would assume) been sufficient technological advancement, all or most of it is now open to extraction. With that in mind, Alberta's oil reserves are estimated at somewhere around 1.7 trillion barrels—more than the entire rest of Earth combined.

Dominus never violates the privacy of those who hire them. Who knows? Maybe they already have powerful clients.

^ Very sorry, but I claimed the United Kingdom just earlier.

<Snipped quote by The Nexerus>

...And speaking of which, just more or less finished. Still need to work out the military, though.

Alas. I guess that teaches me to read a few posts before I spend time on an app :3

I might do Japan, or, as MetalLover suggested, United Scandinavia.

I made a point of leaving Australia and New Zealand open. Perhaps you could adapt your NS to fit there? 'Greater Australia' instead of 'Greater Britannia'?

Kind of fancy doing a small island nation establishing an overseas empire to acquire resources. Perhaps just New Zealand, maybe after annexing parts of coastal Australia, seeking to bring the Indonesian archipelago under its sway.

Consider New Zealand and Australia reserved, though I probably won't claim all of Australia, just the east coast.

Australia is a small island nation by population even if not by area. It seems silly to me to be cutting Australia into portions.

I am glad I chose not to claim either Australia or Kiwiland, though. Figured you'd still want to join in this after I took the UK from you, and also figured your NS would be easiest to adapt to Australia and/or New Zealand.

As you can guess this is still very much work in progress.
For some reason I always have the most problem with writing up history for my NS.

@The NexerusI just read your NS again and it's kind of a headscratcher for me that how would England survive WW3 relatively unharmed?
They are one of top nations thus it also earns them priority from other nations after the obvious customers like Russia, China and of course the USA.
Even if you quit the EU I can't see your nation getting away from a near-civilization ending war free.
Hungary or Ethiopia can have the excuse of being pretty much irrelevant. Britain wouldn't be so lucky.
Either way if there's any global superpower wouldn't that be the new Soviet Union with combining Russia and China and anyone nearby?
Their economy might have issues but the fact they are easily the single largest country can easily compensate for that.

That being said this almost feels like nitpicking because in the end it doesn't matter how grand X nation is stated to be. What matters is how we play them.

The United Kingdom did not aggress and was not aggressed upon. It's that simple.

Area doesn't translate into GDP. Modern day Russia is the world's largest country and largest oil producer, and still manages to have a smaller economy than Italy.

I'd also like to add that the United Kingdom isn't this world's superpower in the same manner that the United States is the real world's superpower. The superpower designation that I used in my NS is based on their having the largest economy at present. They do not have the same unending influence that real world America enjoys.

It's just that it's not that simple. The british isles are a strategic possession, so even if the UK tried to make a point of neutrality during the war, it seems difficult to believe that nobody would attempt to occupy it. Plus, assuming that that's true, and no one invaded the UK, any nuclear strike in western europe would have affected the British Isles. Also, since it's not clear yet under what circumstances each country ended up after the war,how can we say that the pound sterling was the international reserve for currency?

Yeah, you can't just refuse to take part in the war.
If things would be so easy you can bet that there wouldn't be quarter as much war.
Brits are important on the political, economic and all around a big player in the world.
If WW3 breaks out they can't just stand around, not with the current globalized world.
If all you need to survive a huge scale war to just refuse to participate in it then you can bet how many people would choose that.

So did great Britain drop out of NATO?

Also!! Raja, I was going to write in that china invaded India but was pushed back via nuclear exchange. Would that be an acceptable historical event?

That would make great sense, since China and Pakistan are good allies, and China has land disputes with India, even had a border war in 1962

Any country being the one that previously had control of my nation? I'm thinking the Second Ethiopian Empire, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, or The Greater European Confederation would all be good candidates, simply because I doubt my country would be strong enough to break away from any of the other countries. I'm not saying that those counties are weak, I'm just saying that if any countries would give my country independence without too much of a struggle, it would be one of those three.

Considering that I own territory right next to you it isn't entirely unlikely for my country to have expanded into your lands only to have lost control of it due to rebellion and being force to pull out of the region? If you are interested then let me know. We can discuss the history a bit together.

History of the Nation :

Since 2015 most of South America was developing in order to achieve the first world standarts and they was doing well thanks to the creation of trade blocks and Free Trade Agreements with the world powers , in that time there was only two major trade blocks in South America : The CAN and the Mercosur , the CAN was integrated by Peru , Bolivia , Ecuador and Colombia & the Mercosur was integrated by Brazil , Venezuela , Chile , Brazil , Uruguay and Paraguay .The less succesfull of them was the CAN which was only the shadow of the Mercosur.

This situation lasted until 2022 when in Peru a big economic boom followed by a baby boom made the Peru economy stronger than most nations , this happened thanks to foreign investment and new policies applied by a new goverment which wasnt corrupt , but it wasnt until 2030 that Peru could be considered a first world country , for this time Peru was the mayor economic power in South America surpassing Chile , Argentina , Colombia , Venezuela and Brazil together .

In 2030 when the war started most of South America maintained neutral , in this Peru saw a oportunity to supply the world powers in this time of war which only increased even more the economic power of Peru , but to increase its economy Peru made a new economic block called the SAEU (South American Economic Union ) which was very similar to the current European union , Peru made the offer to all south american countries but only Ecuador , Bolivia , Paraguay , Uruguay , Chile and Argentina , joined the SAEU . From that time to 2043 Peru helped the economies of the members of the SAEU and enforced certain rules to mantain the economic balance , but this rules became more intrusive and at 2046 the SAEU almost looked like a total union instead of only a economic union , most of the couldnt even protest because of the Peru military force and Black Ops operations.

In the year 2049 the SAE was formed all the member countries of the SAEU signed a treaty in which they became one country , with this the SAU was formed and with it the world saw a new alliance ruled by Peru and it is one of the big countries in the world scene , even still modernizing some parts of the old nations but the with only Peru it is already a power to be recognized.

@MurtoxLooks good.
Just a few things to fix.
2030 is when the war ended, not its start. Aside from maybe the GM nobody knows how long WW3 went on. Personally I bet it's only a few years.
Also I think you may want to kick that Union together a bit sooner. Things take time to sink in.
