A native of St. Portwell some people have great lives, and Maxine's was no different. Up until her mother died of a heart attack, and her father married some tramp in her place and literally stopped caring about her. She became a bit of a rebel in school, and getting herself in all sorts of trouble in order to get her father's attention. She even got arrested a couple times. Yet, he barely paid her any mind. He had enough of her and arranged for her to be sent to the Copperworth Academy in order to get her out of his hair and attempt to straighten her out. Boy was he wrong. She immediately fell into the wrong crowd, and got a few contacts in order to get her some drugs. Which she happily distributes to the students. However, recently, she discovered that she has powers after shaking hands with one of her customers and shooting fire and smoke out of her hands. She believed that she caught the power from him.

Powers work very similarly to eachother, in theory. She has the power to copy a part of another Mutant's power, and give her access to a range of basic element-bending abilities. However, it isn't totally mirroring their ability, think of it more of copying the element they use. She'll get her own set of abilities. For example, if she touches a water-bender, then she'll have a similar ability, except with her own tricks. Say, if she touches someone that can enter mirrors, then she'll get the ability to control mirrors. If someone has super breath, then she'll get air manipulation. Thus, Maxine has the potential to become the fuckin' Avatar. This power runs off a fuel, and she has to absorb more of the element she's using in order for the power to continue function (If she's using water, then she'll need to absorb water. Same with earth, fire, etc, etc.). The bigger the feat, the more she'll need to absorb. Maxine is also capable of transforming into her element. Whether it's turning into fire for a few seconds, or turning into stone.
