Is that bad? I mean, a lot of them don't survive and if they do, I have to leave for some reason.

It happens. I've been in a few that lasted a while, but it's not the norm.

In my case it's rather ironic. The only RP's I've ever finished are Free RPs.

It's not something that I would be too rpoud of, but it's not something to feel bad about either; roleplays just end up dying.

350 days though... that is kind of impressive.

It's mainly bad if you're applying to another game and people there know you're unreliable. Might really hinder your ability to participate in a lot of games with people who know you down the road.

Gotta slowly practice how to put off real life shit for internet shit. Real life is ephemeral, but the internet will always be with you.

I did that for a long time. You gotta get into a RP that moves at your pace and keeps you interested.

I'm actually surprised I've been running my own RP for 8 months. That's almost a whole year! And only like 3 days have passed in-game. Which is strange, but still! Almost a whole year.

I've been in another RP for 11 months, which is pretty good. Only like 4-5 days have passed in it in-game.

These RP's move at my pace. Which is a very slow pace. I can wait nearly a month before I post, and there's still time after that.

Longest RP I've ever been in has been running for about three years now. Of course it's stagnated heavily, but that's the result of all of us growing up, getting jobs, and people dropping out.

Longest RP I have been part of, and still am, is right now clocked at 4 years and 7 months old. There was only a short gap back in 2011 when it was dead for four months, otherwise it trudges on. We move slower now, and a lot of that is the loss of people, but some of that too is from those of use who are still with it making longer, more detailed posts now.

I think it helps that quite of few of us were already adults and already had schedules when the RP started.

Do you guys like it when a RP gets new posts daily, weekly, or monthly?

Depends on the length of the posts.

For Precipice, they tend to be 2k+ words, so daily posts can become a chore to read. A handful a week seems best in that case.

Weekly. When running an RP, I require each person to post once a week. No more, no less. If they post more, cool. Not required.
