Hey, I've come here from another forum that's recently finished a long, slow death and I've been looking around for a new place to RP. I've been roleplaying since 2010 and actually got my start on forums. Any recommendations for a place to start?

@ArenaSmow From my past experience, I could easily join a Casual RP and keep up there. However, I haven't really tried an Advanced RP-like format before, so I don't know about that. I'd be interested in playing in one of those, at least.

Then for now, might as well open up with a casual and see where it goes :) If ya can't find one (which would surprise me) I could bring up a few.

Are there any genres you like. Would you also be willing for canon worlds.

@AbysmalDemon It's easier to list off genres I don't like. I tend to not favor Post-Apocalyptic settings, nor do I really like Lovecraftian/Call of Cthulhu types of stories where you can't so much as even look at the thing trying to eat you without going nuts. As for pre-existing settings for other worlds, it depends on the series, but usually no. And if I am going to play in a setting like that, I would prefer it to be one of those things where there are no characters from the original work. Either in the RP they don't exist, or you're working in a completely different place and time from where the fiction in question occurred.
