Fires of the Fringe is a nation RP that is based around the actions of individual characters. Players will make nations or choose from the pool of existing ones and RP as a character from that nation. I will only accept a certain number of nations before people must choose from existing ones.
Rules:

-Keep OOC drama to PMs
-No godmodding please, attempts
2. Profanity is allowed but do not over do it.
3. No insane character sheets please. Life is mundane….you can be too.
4. FTL is short range, expect it to take two posts to get anywhere.
5. Magic is allowed but must be explained and used properly ( no overpoweredness)
6. You can only RP as one character at a time
Story:
The Septonian Concordant and the Ghral of Hakkar have been bitter enemies for centuries, locked in a savage struggle to control their home system. The two nations were stuck in a cold war, researching and stockpiling arms for the strategic upper hand. Everyone believed war was unlikely until the Ghral of Hakkar began taking Septonian planets, the First Galactic war has began. The war spanned the entirety of the Shao IX system, nearly 150 worlds were involved, leaving the system in ruins. Bloody fighting lasted for 10 years before coming to a stalemate, virtually cutting the system in half. Hundreds of thousands of refugees from the destroyed worlds fled the fighting and traveled to the Fringe, a large nebula containing habitable worlds. After the war ended, the refugees stayed in the Fringe and established sovereign planet-states. During the peace, the new Fringe nations were able to trade freely with the Septonian Concordant and the Ghral. The assassination of the current Kel of the Ghral of Hakkar by Septonian forces prompted an immediate violent response from the Ghral. The newly named Ghral of Gul’aman pushed deep into Septonian space before being slowly pushed back to their original position, resulting in more refugees fleeing into the fringe. Fearing that the war would spread into the Fringe, planet-states formed the Fringe Conglomerate and declared themselves neutral. The Millennium war lasted just four years, leaving Shao IX utterly destroyed. As the Septonian Concordant and the Ghral of Gul’aman licked their wounds, the Fringe states grew, becoming bastions of wealth, technology and luxury. The Concordant and Ghral quickly repaired the damage and fortified their borders, determined not to loose anymore ground. Will peace last? or is it just a matter of time before war breaks out again?
4909: Refugees from the First Galactic war flee Shao IX and settle in an area known as the Fringe.
4940: Fringe planet-states are officially recognized as sovereign
4999: The Second Galactic war, known as the Millennium War, forces more refugees into the Fringe, population of Fringe states grow significantly.
5002: Fringe Conglomerate established, enforcing the neutrality of the Fringe states.
5014: Ghral Forces attack Fringe Conglomerate summit, RP begins
