Tobias is a tall fellow, he‘s around 6 feet 8 inches in height. He‘s got wide shoulders and a big, muscular build. There is one huge scar, from the back of his neck, to the bottom of his back.

He prefers bulky and big armors for traveling, but he does get into cloth robes for various rituals and healing procedures.
While being somewhere in the middle of the time of his life, he still moves around and lives as if he has just hit his adulthood.

Personality: Calm and collected, rational most of the time. Because of this, he can make decisions when other people might be doubting, and take all the consequences onto himself. A thinker, not a talker. He’d rather stay silent and wonder about the situation by himself, rather than involve himself in conversations. He will, if he has no other choice or the situation require him to speak.

While it might not seem so from the beginning, but Tobias is empathic and he enjoys helping other people around him, even if he doesn’t express himself and his joy too much. Being taught by the clerics from the young age he has taken in their virtues and while not necessarily holding up to them himself at this point, he tries to spread the words of the clerics to the world.

Background: Tobias is an orphan. He was left by the gates of an orphanage almost right after he was born, without a single note on him. No-one knows who put him by the gates, nobody has seen him being given away. His parentage is lost to everyone.

In his youngsts, he has shown a particular interest in reading and learning, especially in botany and medicine. He was the only boy that tended the gardens around the orphanage and even if he was made fun of by other boys in the orphanage, he kept at it. “The gardens had never looked better!” he heard people say and that was enough praise for him to stay focused on his work.

In his teens, he usually got into fights with other orphans because of his botanical work, and he lost most of the times, because other boys were just stronger than him, as he was rather slim. Because of this, he decided to work not only on his mind, but on his body as well. He figured there had to be a balance between those two powers. With time, he got a little bulkier and a little bit stronger and once he started to win the fights other orphans initiated.

And just like that, working on the gardens, reading and studying the worlds around him and training he has reached his adulthood. He left the orphanage and sought the knowledge of the clerics and joined their order. There, he has learned the arts of healing the world around him, both living and non-living. Cleansing the lands of evil and curses, restoring life to plants and wildlife. His studies didn’t go for long, because after around seven or eight years he suddenly disappeared from the order. No-one but Tobias knows why he deflected and ran away.

The fear was, that he’s going to use his knowledge for wrongdoing, and while Tobias himself didn’t think that what he was doing was bad, his reputation got worse between the clerics. On the other hand, the mercenaries and wanderers, who didn’t have a place in a world started to look up to him. He was Father Tobias of the mercenary company the Water Ambers.

Water Ambers were different from other companies. Where most of the companies were ruthless and uncontrollable, the Water Ambers were complete opposite. They did everything calmly, they finished their tasks and never took more than what was promised. To become an Amber one had to go through a trial put up by the Father Tobias and he chose who was worthy and who wasn’t, which is why the Water Ambers were so orderly.

The Water Ambers were one of the best and most popular mercenary company around, they even had a House of the Ambers set up in one of the bigger cities. They had smiths and tailors working for them, making armors of weapons for them. It almost had become a full-blown branch of religion.
But as suddenly as they had appeared, just as suddenly they disappeared. Rumors were going around that it was destroyed internally and the order that the company once had was destroyed and beyond restoration. But those were rumors and no-one really know what has happened.

After this, Tobias went out into the world to wander and help people in need.

Name: Heath of Dailor

Appearance:
Heath does not seem a person one would call large or strong, or swift at that matter. He is somewhat muscular, though not exceptionally, about 6 feet tall. He wears his shorter than shoulder length hair loose and has a short boxed beard. Both his hair and beard are dark-brown, yet the colour seems somewhat lighter due to constant exposure to dust, Sun and rain on the road. Heath's eyes are of greenish shade.
Usually seen with his heavily-worn armor, which has no banner or other distinctive features. You would not call it heavy armor as he only wears a breastplate with leather pants, boots and gloves. Heath's travel cloak, that covers his back and shoulders, is probably his least worn item.

Job: A poor wandering self-proclaimed knight

Weapon of choice: Sword that he handles with exceptional care. Has a bunch of daggers hidden in his clothing, because that's how a wanderer lives on.

Personality: Heath is silent, yet he hears and remembers most of what people talk around. He is not easily set off and rarely does he help others, unless that furthers his interests. Most of the time, he tries to use wit over force, though is not reluctant to use either. His look is that of an uncertain and a sad man, yet behind his eyes hides a highly pragmatic, sometimes cruel even, person. He values result and is prepared for sacrifices in order to achieve what he aspires. His whole "philosophy" is built on him spending most of his life on the road. If he has a certain trait that he never lost from his young days its his stubbornness.

Background: Heath was a thirdborn to a castellan of his hometown Dailor. Being a thirdborn he had neither the chances to marry into the local lord's family nor inherit any of his father's titles or wealth on his passing. Thus he aspired to be a knight and join one of the noble and respected orders as would be any boy's dream. He studied many things on his father's behest, learned to write and read, the art of swordsmanship, tactics and a couple of other things, however this life went to an abrupt end when bandits ambushed the castellan's family travelling to their summer residence. Heath does not know much of what happened to his family, since he was abducted by the bandits on their retreat. Heath was thirteen years old by then. Spending a couple of months as their prisoner and seeing that his father was not even trying to pursue the bandits, he managed to talk himself into the band and eventually became not their prisoner but a member. As it is with bands of outlaws, some of them desert, some of them die; eventually, 9 years after his abduction, all of them parted their ways.
Heath continued to travel the world, having looted some decent-looking gear and sharpening his swordsmanship throughout the years on road. He would usually pass himself of as a poor knight, although he was never actually knighted. He lived off by protecting caravans, travelers, scavenging and other not-so-noble deeds.

Other information: Heath considers talking himself into the outlaw band one of the greater achievements of his, not only because that most likely saved his life, but also because because his stubbornness would have never let him return to Dailor, since his father had not seemed to put much effort in finding him.
As of now he is 24 years old.
