I don't really see too many invasion survival rps on here in general, but I've been thinking about such a scenario in a War of the Worlds setting for about a week now so I thought I'd put it out there.
I'm not key on the details yet, and I'm personally still deliberating whether to have the rp in the original novel setting, or using Spielbergs 2005 film setting which I do appreciate as a good adaptation, if only of certain aspects of the novel. A modern setting would probably be easier to do but I am personally interested in seeing how a survival rp would pan out in Victorian England, though I'd be perfectly happy letting the flow of interest decide this.
The rp would take place over a longer time frame than both the film and the novel, maybe over a couple of months and at this point it would be likely focused on getting from safepoint A to safepoint B. I'll say right now that there won't be any magical way to suddenly kill the 'martians', they will likely die the same way they do in both novel and film, eventually.
So, any takers?
