Witch Ranks
Rank 1: Witch/Warlock
Type: Common
Witches are the common and standard of the magic chain. Needing incantations for spells, and an item to channel their magic. Their familiars are small animals, and they are categorized by the three polished stones on their person.
Rank 2: Sorceress/Sorcerer
Type: Uncommon
The second ranking after Witches and Warlocks. These do not require an incantation for small spells and at this time they can choose if they wish to go to an academy with hopes of gaining a higher ranking and more knowledge. Their familiars can be small or medium sized animals. These also will require an item to channel their magic, but it will not be for all type of spells. They are categorized by having two polished stones and 1 cut stone on their person.
Rank 3: Enchantress/Wizard
Type: Rare
These are the survivors of rigorous training and preparation. They do not require items or incantations for the majority of their spells and potions. Required for very high leveled spells. If they can gain the favor of a mythical beast this can become their familiar. There are three categories of Enchantress/Wizards, the majority become protectors. These look over towns and places with high paranormal activity. The second are the teachers, they are the mentors of the next generations. The final few hold over the Council who help oversee all witches and maintain order.
Rank 4: Witch Queen/Witch King
Type: Super Rare
There are only three at any given time. They are the ones that require no incantation and only their item for the highest of spells. They oversee all witches with the help of the the Council. There are three castles for the three royals. (They are rarely together after coronation and special events). Their familiars are the Witch Knights three knights blessed with immortality who have served the royals since the beginning. They are marked by the triple cut stones
Rank 5: Will-of-Wisps
Type: Super Rare/ Hidden Rank
These came from Ireland. A special witch that teeters between the living and the dead. They have sadly, over time thinned out in their ranks so there are few left. They help in making the dead pass on before they haunt people and get dangerous. They can to a certain extent control ghosts or be possessed by them and gain powers. They have five stones on them, four polished and one cut. A master Wisp can be considered at the same level as an Enchantress/Wizard.
