Okay, so I've recycled a character from a One Piece RP that ended up dead in the water (I hope that's okay), but the thing is that the origin I made can easily be made either Pirate or Navy. So I left Crew/Base and Bounty/Rank blank for now. Please let me know which you prefer :)

Taylor Sinclair [+]

Personality: Lover of all women and hater of all stagnation and things that get in his way. Taylor believes himself unstoppable, not infallible, but surviving many near death scenarios has left him slightly deluded and believing he has some kind of divine guardian looking after him.

Skills & Talent: Can garden, plan parties, do something that might be called fencing if you squint and the sun is in your eyes, quality cabinetry and lock picking (well a hammer is a lock pick by a different name).

In addition Taylor is adept at a martial art called Candy-Fu.

Techniques:
“Choc-Ripple” uses techniques similar to fishman karate using the body’s water in inflicting damage.
“Jawbreaker” the basic strike move in Candy-Fu can be used with any limb
“Ginger Snap” as the name might imply it is a move made to snap bones. This must be struck with either an elbow or a knee.
“Gum Drop” an axe kick designed to concuss an opponent with a blow to the head or neck.

Stances:
“Way of the Gummi Bear” a power stance to increase well... power!
“Dance of the Gummi Worm” a grappling stance designed to incapacitate an opponent.
"Flow of the Soda Stream" a defencive stance for redirecting damage

Weapons: An elegant falchion with a sapphire for a pommel and a basket hilt, mostly for show since he stole it and isn’t really that proficient. Taylor usually carries a bouquet of flowers; it’s a gimmick, a calling card, a gift for any lovely that passes by, good for a makeshift 'smokescreen' and he occasionally hides a gun in there.

Origins: Taylor Sinclair was the youngest son of a funeral director. He had a green thumb as a child, with a natural talent for making flowers and plants bloom. Taylor grew up with a healthy respect for the dead and when his mother passed he gave them the most beautiful funeral and although he himself came to be respected for supplying the beautiful flowers and services Taylor feared that he would live and die in this one place and fade into obscurity.

Fearing this more than anything Taylor went into town and asked for a suit “good enough to die in” and secretly constructed a slightly large coffin and filled it with lots of colourful flowers, telling his father it was simply something to drum up customers.
Then the night a storm hit Taylor dragged the coffin down to the docks, got dressed in his suit, painted his face like a skull and lay down in the coffin for the storm, deluding himself that if he survived such an ordeal that he simply must be more than human.

When Taylor woke his coffin was being hauled out of the water by the navy. Not sure what he was doing Taylor closed his eyes and played dead. When the navy officers opened up the coffin and saw a ‘dead’ man surrounded by flowers they were confused, even more so when the dead man sat up and cracked two sailor’s heads together. Taylor made his way throughout the small ship and stumbled across a medical room with what must be said a truly lovely lady doctor. Still high on adrenaline and the fact that he survived a storm in a coffin Taylor ran up to the doctor as if to strike before falling to his knees and saying to the confused woman.

“I know you are a saviour of life Miss Doctor, but we cannot be together! You see I have died and been reborn and as such am beyond what medicine can heal! No! We mustn’t! Our love cannot ever last, rendered apart as it is my the heavens! I would defy heaven for you my Princess, healer of my heart’s wounds, but I cannot linger since it is no longer just heaven that prevents us, but soon the law as well! Officer and outlaw! I cannot in good conscience put you in such a jeopardizing position that associating yourself with one such as me would place you.” The utterly bemused doctor made to talk, but Taylor was too far into his delusions “No, no, do not say a word, simply take this and remember me...” handing the fair maiden a red rose and sliding out of the room.

From then on there was a tale in the South Blue, if you saw a floating coffin and took it aboard a white faced ghost, smelling of flowers, would emerge and all males would fall unconscious.

Zerry Bell [+]

Appearance:Zerry Bell is a tall, lean, light blue box jellyfish Fishman. What appears to be his long, white hair and the sea green spotted cap are actually parts of his body. The tentacles are what resembles his white hair and the spotted cap is an extension of his head, the two eyes are actually two eyesand the small dots all around are like sensory 'thingies'.

Personality: Zerry Bell is very laid-back and easygoing. He takes everything lightly regardless of the severity of the moment, but always keeps his senses on alert. In surprising, perilous and unexpected situations, he is apparently never shocked. However, he tend to lose his temper when it comes to either slavery or the World Nobles

Skills & Talent: Zerry uses fishman karate in combination with his stinging abilities as a jellyfish fishman. He is also naturally an excellent swimmer and can perform basic repairs on ships.

Two Hundred Tile True Punch: A hard punch that can send an opponent flying.

Stinging Hundred And Fifty Tile Punch: While the attack itself is weaker, Zerry can, as long as he hits his opponents skin, cause longer lasting pain thanks to the fact that he activates the chemicals on his skin to "sting" the opponent.

Water Shot: Zerry wets his arm and then throws a single drop of water with the strength of a bullet.

Stinging Tentacle Grap: As the name implies this move relies on Zerry's tentacles. He wraps them around an opponent's bodypart and stings them.

Transportation: So far either as a passenger a stowaway or by swimming either at the surface or underwater.

Dream/Goal: To put an end to slavery.

Origins: As a child Zerry had heard stories about the fate that Fishman and Merfolk slaves had to endure at the hands of the World Nobles and as such he decided that he had to learn to defend himself and others. To that goal he started training at the Dojo learning Fishman Karate. While he progressed only slowly he was determined to improve as far as he could and was eventually offered a spot in the newly formed New Fishman Pirates howvwer he didn't agree with their views on humans as a whole and refused. Not knowing the extent of Hody's plans he left Fishman Island in search of a crew of his own.

Knowing he would be no match for the Pirates or Marines in the New World or even deep in the Grand Line, Zerry decided to head to one of the Blues. The first leg of his journey he simply swam, but after a couple of days he came across a ship heading in roughly the same way he was. Since the ship was out in open sea they weren't looking out for anyone sneaking in which he did only to leave a few days later. A lot of the times he stowed away he got away with unnoticed, but every now and then he would get caught. When that happened escape was his main goal so he mostly got away without having to fight. Still this was enough for him to get his bounty.

Skills & Talent: Due to his Devil Fruit he has become a human hornet's nest meaning that he has hornets that he can control individually inside his body.

Bachi bachi no supai (hornet hornet spy) Eugene sends out one or more hornets to either spy on someone or to act as a scout.

Bachi bachi no mure (hornet hornet swarm) Releases most if not all if his hornets at once.

Bachi bachi no ken (hornet hornet fist) Cover his fist in hornets in such a way that when he punched someone, they also get stung countless times.

Dream/Goal: To become a Marine admiral

Origins: Eugene was born on an island in South Blue He was the son of a pirate and never liked him. His father was never at home and left them to go to sea. So he and his mother had to try their best to have a good life. He never understood why his mother had chosen a man like him. He was 9 years old as a pirate crew attacked the island. They just came to the island to rob and murder. As almost half the village where they lived was burning, the pirates attacked their house. Eugene tried to save the house but was easily overwhelmed by three of the pirates. Just before one of them could kill him the pirate was send flying by a kick. Apparently a marine ship saw the smoke and came to rescue. The pirates who attacked the island and village were easily defeated by the marines.

A day later before they left the island, Eugene begged the marine to take him with them. He saw what pirates were like and hated his father and the likes of them more than ever. So he wanted to become a marine. He was allowed to join them, but would have to leave the ship at the next marine base, where he would start his career as a marine.

I might make a marine too if I come up with something good.

-Offensive: The user is capable of more than doubling his strength and agility by planting deep roots into the ground which absorb minerals and water for 3 minutes at a time since it takes quite a toll on the body. The user can also grow long thorny vines which can act as whips of sort. One more of the various offensive uses of the fruit is the production of various gasses like sleeping gas or poisonous gas.
-Defensive: The user is capable of covering his body with extremely dense bark capable of withstanding even cannonballs. Other than that, through photosynthesis the user can regenerate health although that ability is practically unusable in battle since it demands the user to be unconscious and still.
•Specific Weakness: Practically, for the fruit's true power to manifest, the user needs to both see the sun and step on the ground. For example fighting the user aboard a ship on a shiny day will be vastly different to fighting him on the ground in the middle of the night.

Daisy so far has lived a good, rich life having everything one could ever want due to her family's vast wealth. Her father, a man carrying the blood of the famous liar Montblanc Noland -although rumours of the Golden City resurfaced two years ago- and a rich merchant raised her on the beautiful and peaceful Kingdom of Lvneel along with her mother who always stood by her side.

Yet nothing's ever perfect. From her birth, Daisy has practically died 11 times in her sleep due to a very rare and unknown illness. The first two times it happened, her mother, a renowned doctor in North Blue, was the one to resuscitate her and ever since a team of doctors has been around her 24/7. Needless to say that she rarely was ever permitted to leave the estate until she reached the point where she stopped eating and she was eventually allowed to roam the kingdom.

Fast forward to her 16th birthday when she briefly announced her intention to set sail in two years time and see the world in front of a crowd and her shocked parents where in order to prove her conviction, she did the unthinkable and ate a Devil Fruit she had smuggled for a lot of money from the Grand Line. Countless fights followed and eventually her father accepted her decision and agreed on giving her a ship as long as her doctors along with her bodyguards are always with her.

Two years later, she set sail, eager to see the world and secretly with the ambition of entering the Grand Line on her own or with people who weren't aware of her condition.

EDIT: I see now, after re-reading my CS that she could fit both in the Navy or under a jolly roger. I'll probably go with pirate although I don't mind the Navy path if we have too many pirate sheets or something like that.

Outside of combat he wears a black trench coat (usually open) with a button-down maroon shirt and white pants. (He removes the coat during combat because he likes it and doesn't want it ruined.)

Personality: He has a easy-going personality, and he is hard working. Generally speaking he has a good sense of humor, but he also has a mild temper. He can be more than a little arrogant and stubborn, he defiantly doesn't take orders very well. He is a thrill-seeker and has a lust for adventure that is without equal. He loves to live life on the edge, which can result in him diving head-first into ridiculously dangerous situations without a second thought and a smile on his face. In combat, he seems to go a little crazy and can often be heard laughing like a maniac.

Devil Fruit:
Name:Ryū-Ryū no mi (dragon-dragon fruit)

Ability: Allows him to turn into a dragon and take on dragon-like attributes. So far, he can only use the first transformation.

Weapons: Sword and Revolver and powerful Haki. (Although he can't use his weapons in his dragonform. In combat, he fights with infighting techniques that utilize every part of his body as a weapon.

Transportation: Was a Large Frigate called the Nidhogg. Now, he has nothing.

Dream/Goal: Adventure, and to find his old crew.

Origins: Background: Born to a somewhat well-to-do family, Balthier was well educated from a young age. His life was normal until he was 13. On the eve of his birthday, his town was attacked by pirates and his family disappeared, he got separated from them in the chaos, and when he went back, he could find no sign of them. He was on the streets until he met a man who took him in. The man's name was Alzac, and he was a long retired Marine Vice-Admiral. Despite this, Alzac was a wise and kindly man. As a Marine Vice-Admiral he was scoffed at for being merciful. He didn't condone all pirates, just the criminal ones. Many mistook this for weakness, they would be dead wrong, he was a master swordsman and an exalant navigator; he taught Balthier how to fight and how to sail. Unfortunately, he died two years later from simple age. Balthier mourned him, but he understood that he wouldn't want him to wallow in grief. So, a month later, he gathered supplies and set out on the sea as a cabin boy on a merchant vessel. The captain of that ship was a cruel and uncaring man. Many long voyages were spent under the lash with little food and water to maximize cargo space. During a particularly bad storm, the captain drove them mercilessly, finally the crew snapped and Baltier ended up leading a mutiny. It succeeded, and Balthier, despite his young age, became captain of the Black Dragon Pirates. A very sucessful carrier as a pirate followed, during which he eventualy earned a bounty of 99,999,999 berries for piracy, sinking multiple Marine warships, sacking three towns, destroying a Marine base, burglarizing a Marine Captain's house, and shaving a Marine Captain's prize showdog. But then, after seven years of piracy, when he is 22, a rebellious subordinate wanted the money and fame, so he lead a mutainy of his own, marooning Balthier on an island.

Devil Fruit (if any): Bashi Bashi no Mi (Zap Zap Fruit). Taking the same logic of mera mera and magu magu, this fruit is the 'lesser' version of Enel's Goro Goro no Mi.

Skills & Talent: Expert swordsman. Adept at other simple weaponry. Above average cook.

Weapons (if any): A pair of katanas

Transportation: A simple boat, not meant for many as he is searching for a crew or people to form a crew with.

Dream/Goal: Become the best swordsman in the world, surpassing Mihawk.

Origins: Born into a merchant family in the East Blue, Robert grew up well educated and well fed. He never worried about his next meal. This carried on while the family was well enough off. However, as time passed and business declined due to an outward migration, his family's stores fell with it. Within a few years, he was sent off to a boarding school with what his family can spare and he never heard from them again.

Upon arrival, he knew that this was not the same crowd he grew up with. These kids were essentially street thugs. He has never had to fend for himself, until now. After the first few months where he got involved in nearly every fight that broke out. He had earned a reputation. He had a small group of kids following him, with him at the top as "Baron" Delaware. Although not the most infamous in the school, he was quickly asserting himself as such. Using his childhood training in swordsmanship, he quickly discovered that he has a natural talent with the sword. Now his preferred weapon, he carries two with him wherever he goes.

By age eighteen when he 'finished' school, his crew was the most infamous. The teachers, the disciplinarians, the students most of all, were all keeping their distance from them. For the most part, his crew is well-behaved. However, when things get out of hand, there isn't very many people that can stop them. On his graduation trip into the forest, Robert found a strange fruit. No one he knew had a clue as to what it was. Being the hotheaded teenage boy he was, he was urged on to eat it by his friends. Never backing down from a challenge, he took one bite and his life changed forever...

He did not remember what happened after he bit into the fruit. When he woke up, his friends had scattered and there were char makes all around him. To him, they look like marks that have been made with thunder. Approaching the nearby lake to wake himself up, he reached his hand into the standing water and nearly fainted instantly. Tumbling backwards, he gathered himself and tried again. Same effect. He then started remembering a whisper he heard through the grapevine. There are these mysterious fruits in the world that, once eaten, grants the consumer strange powers. However, the sea will forever reject them and if they come into contact with standing water, they become like hammers... One more thing of note he heard about these fruits is that they taste absolutely horrible. The taste of the fruit he bit into is something he will never forget. It tasted like...electricity, if such a thing was possible...

Scrapping up whatever berrie he can find and using a bit of coercion, he got himself a small boat, meant for a crew of no more than five, and set sail. His purpose is solely to find out what actually happened to him, and his friends, for now...

Personality:

Rarely speaks, if only because he forgets to out of habit. Generally Jarvis is cheerful, seen often with a cheeky grin in the company of friends and a furrowed brow for enemies. He's stoic guy, often responding with only a thumbs up to a question like 'Are you okay?' after nearly drowning or being stabbed – he doesn't like to show weakness.

Jarvis has a flair for the dramatic possibly brought about by the use of his Devil Fruit and, as a result, finds anything less than a life or death situation boring. He can be a bit of a daredevil as a result, caring little for his own safety. While he is naturally unambitious, even indecisive as to what he wants to do with his life, he knows he wants his name heard renowned in all of the seas, and the easiest way to do that is as a bounty hunter.

Devil Fruit: Panto Panto no Mai

This strange fruit of the Paramecia group allows the user to make anything the user mimes out corporeal, albeit invisible, for so long as the 'item' is touching their body. An example would be to pretend to be holding a sword (as Jarvis does), a hefty one – an opponent might not see anything, but the sword is there and it will cut.

Jarvis likes to use it to sit on an invisible chair while at bars.

The limit is inanimate objects, as well as whatever the user can imagine. Furthermore, if the user makes any sound, everything is automatically dispelled. A very, very strange fruit.

Skills & Talent:

Swordsmanship – Before he ate his Devil Fruit, Jarvis was in training to become a swordsman and dreamed of becoming 'the best swordsman in the world'. Naturally his newfound abilities stopped that in its tracks since being aided by a Devil Fruit ability was definitely cheating.
Sailing – He was born on a ship and he'll die on a ship. Jarvis knows how to control a boat (if not how to navigate it at all) and has his sea legs. He's fairly good at fishing, too, so is unlikely to starve.

Weapons:

Carries a real sword with him, too, as he only uses his Devil Fruit-spawned sword when things are looking grim.

Transportation:

For now, a very small boat. Open to joining a pirate ship!

Dream/Goal:

Quite simply to become known the world over for whatever it is he chooses to do. While he's a bounty hunter now, his heart does yearn for a place on a ship – as a First Mate.

Origins:

Jarvis was born aboard a pirate ship of which his mother was the Captain and his father the First Mate. They never had any real ambitions of heading to the Grand Line in search of bigger and better things (or certain death) and so they spent most of their lives quite blissfully in East Blue, boarding merchant ships and cruises and everything else under the sun, as well as floating around Loguetown to catch some Grand Line rejects.

Naturally as the captain's brat he was well-treated, expected to fill his mother's footsteps. Unfortunately for everyone (apart from his own parents, who found the whole thing bemusing), he took after his father – a swordsman who was never destined to go anywhere with his fair abilities but was content with a family instead. From the age of twelve onwards, Jarvis worked as a deckhand and learned to fight from his dad.

At thirteen he ate a Devil Fruit they swiped from a beaten up ship retreating from the Calm Belt having barely escaped intact. The Panto Panto no Mai might've taken away his ability to swim (and his intended path through life) but it did make winning fights so much easier. At sixteen, he decided to fly the nest, taking one of his parents' lifeboats and heading all the way to Loguetown where he hunted down rookie pirates for low-priced bounties and experience.

But he's going crazy with so few opportunities to leave Loguetown and its closest islands, and would jump at the chance of heading into the Grand Line. One can only stay as a big fish in a little pond for so long.

Personality: Strider Alva is friendly enough, an individual willing to hear others out and saves judgement until he understands how they act. And that’s what he likes to do, understand things. His inquisitive nature has submerged his mind in many a book, and Alva is very well studied because of this. Although, this also makes him very curious, which could get Alva involved in problems that he has no part in dealing with. When faced with a great threat, Alva does not get a surge of bravado to will him through troubles; no, he’d rather run away to live another day than die foolishly. He barely even likes fighting anyway, preferring to hang back to observe the situation so that he may devise a plan to fix the problem. If plans A through Y fail and Alva is left back against a wall with the final plan Z, then he’ll initiate it and die fighting, but he’d like to one day grow stronger so that plan Z never happens. For now, Alva will surround himself with strong individuals in the form of pirates, and while he may forge relationships with these people, he has his own motives and will see them finished no matter what.

Weapons (if any): Alva purchased a Thompson submachine gun or “Tommy Gun” specifically for the purposes of warding off shady individuals looking to cause him harm, and if it came down to it, protection. Keeps it strapped to his back for easy access, loaded with one 30 round drum.

Transportation: A series of ferries and transport ships; meaning that Alva has no claim on a ship of his own.

Dream/Goal: Obtain the powers of the Kamen Kamen no Mi and take up the mantle of the Mask.

Origins: Strider Alva was born and raised on the great continent of the Red Line in the city of Leroux, where his family made a modest living in the urban jungle. While the Strider family always had food on the table and a roof over their heads, the city was plagued with terrible crime enforced by bandits and warring gangs, making the Leroux streets incredibly unsafe. To counter this, the tall skyscrapers were blocked off and bridges were built on the rooftops, thus creating a divide between the rich and the poor, and essentially creating two new cities. Those with the money and power had the privilege of living in Leroux Ciel, while the impoverished were left with Leroux Terre. Unfortunately for the Striders, they fell on the latter side.

While life like this was hard, Alva managed to stay on the right side of the law, and found a role model in someone nothing less than a hero. Shortly after the Leroux divide, a woman made herself known as the protector of the streets below, and using the powers that only a devil fruit could offer, she protected the weak and helped the police drop the crime rate to a record low. She was the Mask, and had eaten the similarly named Kamen Kamen no Mi, or Mask Mask Fruit. This fruit allowed the Mask to remove her face from her body to place it on other objects or living things, allowing her control over whatever wore her.

Ever interested in the pursuits of the Mask, Alva would track the heroine and write down all her stunts and accomplishments, taking note of her mortal enemies and how she used her abilities to foil their evil plans. It was unfortunate that the last story Alva ever wrote on the Mask was the incident involving her death after the police found her corpse submerged in a local swimming pool, with a single nail hammered into her forehead. This was the calling card of Pincushion, a man who had his fingernails, toenails, and teeth ripped out and replaced with nails. A note was also found hammered into a wall at the crime scene, letting Leroux know that he planned to venture out to sea to become a pirate in order to find the Kamen Kamen no Mi for himself.

Afraid of having the name of the Mask tarnished by letting those powers get into the hands of Pincushion, Alva decided to make it his mission to find the Kamen Kaman no Mi and take up the mantle of the Mask. With the crime rates in Leroux Terre rising again, they’d need a hero. Leaving behind his family, the boy now travels the sea, hoping to reach his goal before the foul Pincushion does.

I'll freely admit that the bachi bachi no mi wasn't my idea, but like with Daisy's or Tendo's depending on how you look at it, the creator did give it logical weaknesses namely and I quote "the hornets are still hornets, however, and can be squished. They are also weak to various kinds of insecticides."

I already have thought of at least more move for Eugene using them. Flying carpet made of hornets anyone?

Crew/Base: The Gold Teeth Pirates: A pirate crew that values freedom above all else. Their main focus is to not only achieve the goal of the captain, but of each individual crew member that happens to board their ship.

Personality: Rem is generally a very carefree person, unlikely to be serious and demanding person one would expect from a pirate captain. He tends to act goofily and mess around, often being very blunt and disrespectful when doing so. When he speaks, he is often very loud. In fact, seeing him spend a day without yelling only occurs once in a blue moon, if even. Like many pirates, he is not only foul mouthed, but has lots of ambition as well. This stems mostly from his own avarice. He desires to enjoy anything the world can offer him, gain anything that he can attain, and explore parts of the world he's never seen. He is very loyal to his comrades, especially his crew mates. They are treated like family, even insulting them would be enough to make Rem lose his temper.

Rem, since his early childhood, has always been interested in learning about the world. While not initially seeming like he would, he possesses an adequate knowledge of the world's history. As a child, he dreamed of traveling to these places. This is one of the things (among others) that inspired him to set out to sea. While he is very ignorant when it comes to other subjects, he has a vast knowledge of a number of islands. Rem is very fond of musical instruments and has learned to play a variety of them. He is very fascinated with bizarre or strange things, such as weird animals or people. He has a natural love for fighting and has great pride in his strength, often smiling when met with a powerful foe.

The best word that can be used to describe Rem is "bizarre". Often times his behavior seems random or childlike, not often thinking things through or putting much thought into his actions before he does them. Rem's thought process behind most things is to do what's most fun at the moment. As a result, he can often be unpredictable enough to keep people wondering what's going on inside of his head. Despite this, he still has some level of self-control and typically refrains from doing things that could potentially harm innocent civilians.

Origins: Ever since his birth, it seemed inevitable that Rem would become a criminal.

His parents were two notorious pirates, both rookies at the time. One of them was a man named Easton Seegar. He was a notably handsome and muscular young men, but also very cruel. Another trait of his that stuck out like a sore thumb was his oversexed personality. Wherever he went, he would always have a one night stand with a woman foolish enough not to know his true identity. As a result, many children have been left fatherless because of his tendency to never let relationships go beyond a one night stand. It is said that "Easton Seegar" is an alias and he keeps his true name hidden for reasons unknown.

The mother, on the other hand, was a curious woman. Her name was Olivia Levasseur, a former high-ranking marine. She was known to be very capricious, but no one expected her to do something of this caliber. The only explanation she gave was that she couldn't being held back by laws for much longer. Not only was she actively a threat to the world government, but she had also managed to gather a crew of incredibly powerful fighters. One of these fighters was a man named Bruno, a hairy musician whose main purpose was to keep the crew at high spirits. He comes into the picture shortly after a short series of events. Anyhow, Olivia was also known to be a thrill-seeker, always having the need to experience new things. This manner of thinking is eventually what caused Rem's birth.

Both of these infamous figures had met each other at Mock Town where they had both gotten incredibly drunk. Against their better judgement, both of them had decided to spend the night together. When morning came, it was clear that the Seegar was the only one of the two that didn't regret his actions. They both split up soon after, Olivia's crew never dared to bring up that moment again, but there was a reminder for the next nine months of travel. She was pregnant with Seegar's child. Even her own adventurous personality quickly grew frustrated by the torture she had to endure day after day. It was obvious to her crew from the very start that once she gave birth, the child would not be staying with them for very long.

She gave birth while traveling through the sea. Without so much as giving the newborn a name, she immediately ordered for it to be killed. Bruno knew that this was coming, but he could not bear to let a child be killed. Even as a pirate, Bruno still had standards. He firmly believed that children were born without sin and could not bear to see one be harmed. Even when they raided villages or committed other crimes, Bruno refused to ever harm a child. This was when Olivia issued a challenge to test his resolve. He would spend fourteen days without eating food. During this time, the baby would be fed in his place. Without a moment's hesitation, Bruno accepted the challenge.

For two harsh weeks, Bruno kept his word and ate nothing. All the while he played his violin for the crew as per usual. By the end of the challenge, Bruno felt significantly weaker than he did before. He collapsed right after the end of the last day. Olivia had pity on the man and allowed him to rest until he was fully recovered. Even after he left the crew, Olivia could not pretend as if the friendship she formed with Bruno had never existed. After a month of rest, they were sent off with a small ship and a month's worth of rations as parting gifts. The crew's ship was extraordinarily large and full of food; a month's worth of food was nothing to them.

They both arrived at the East Blue within a year. Bruno disguised himself to avoid being identified by anyone. Fortunately, because his most defining characteristic was his obscene amount of hair spread all over his body, Bruno was easily able to shave it and hide from the authorities.

Bruno raised Rem in a small village in the East Blue, one that wasn't very heavily populated. Bruno homeschooled him and taught him basic math and literacy. However, he was never taught any of the more advanced topics, mostly because Bruno wasn't all too bright either. Not surprisingly, given his heritage, Rem was also a huge troublemaker. He had a nasty habit of stealing from other people and often picked fights with. Several other boys from the village would try to fight against him, but not one of them had ever defeated him. This is also when he started trying to execute some techniques that he thought would be cool to pull off. He never did have quite enough strength to successfully use them on actual people. He was around 10 years old during this time.

Soon, he was challenged by a boy named Puer. The boy was a year older than him. But he was a bit too easy to make cry and constantly talked about his "manly pride". Predictably, Rem was easily able to take him out. But his other opponents, Puer would come back day after day to challenge him. While Puer never actually won, it was clear that he had been improving because of their fights. Over time, the two of them had developed an odd friendship. They would always fight each other and train to get stronger. They both dreamed of becoming the strongest warriors on the island and protect their "turf". Nobody really understood how these two were able to become friends. The closest explanation anyone got was from Puer; he said that their friendship was forged by the sheer power of their manliness!

On one of the island's more relaxed days, something strange happened. People had actually come to visit! Everybody was intrigued by the group of new arrivals. They were a group of adventurers that simply traveled across the world with no real goal in mind. Their leader was an adventurous botanist named Carlos. The group stayed there for the rest of the day. Rem and Puer listened to the stories they had to share. Carlos and his men told of unbelievable sights and new discoveries all over the world! The band of travelers are what inspired both Rem and Puer to set off to sea in the future. Rem had even convinced them to lend him one of the history books from their ship's small library.

After the travelers left, both Puer and Rem agreed that they would set sail when they thought they were powerful enough. They had also unintentionally inspired both of them to become pirates! As pirates, they would be able to explore just as Carlos and his men did. The major difference being that they wouldn't be restricted by the law of the government. While they had achieved remarkable feats, explorers were ultimately bound by the same laws of everyone else. Pirates had the most freedom on the sea, it was only natural that the two boys would choose to become one of them. Rem soon realized something. If a pirate had such freedom, how much would their king have? He was 12 years old at the time, he had gained two ambitions: become the pirate king; explore the entire world. This news was met with much protest from Bruno, who had hoped that Rem would stray away from the path of a pirate. Rem payed no attention the old man's words, he had already made his decision and was very adamant. At age 16, Puer had set out ahead of Rem to become a pirate. Once Rem had become the same age, he set out to sea. He has been sailing for approximately one year and plans on starting his own pirate crew!

Suzaku D. Fist [+]

Typically seen wearing a white jacket with green trim (left unzipped and open), a light gray sash down around his waist that's long enough to hang to his knee's, accommodated with a pair of cargo shorts and sandals his father used to own.

Name: Suzaku D. Fist.

Epithet: "The Phantom Cook", "The God of Cookery".

Blue/Sea: South Blue.

Crew/Base: Captain/Cook/Navigator of the Powder Keg Pirates.

Age: Nineteen.

Weight: 166 lb (75kg).

Personality: Suzaku shows a generally laid back and easygoing attitude towards almost everything. Doing this for so long has caused him to look at the severity of any situation fearlessly. He is very eager for adventure, and sometimes will get distracted easily over some of the most common of things (if he thinks hard enough about them). Overall, Suzaku is a friendly, somewhat independent person, but tends to lead people the other way, and despite a dark turn of his past events, he maintains a pretty happy attitude.

Devil Fruit: Kaze Kaze no Mi (Wind Wind Fruit). A Logia-type Devils Fruit that allows the user to manipulate, create, and transform into wind or air at will. Used to increase speed and move as if weightless, and create a gale or spontaneous gust of wind.

Skills & Talent: Black Leg Style, Rokushiki, Cookery, and Navigation.

Weapons: Long chain made of sea stone with a safe steel handle encased in rubber.

Transportation: A small Marine vessel re-purposed and painted over with all Marine insignia removed and replaced with pirate flags and a jolly roger.

Dream/Goal: To gather enough money (or find a cure) for an operation to save his fathers life.

Origins: As an early child, Suzaku grew up with a moderate wealthy family as an only child in a small village amongst the South Blue. His father had been a pirate for most of his life, until he reached an old age where he grew out of that scene, and his mother had been a world-reowned cook. Suzaku was somewhat popular and had a few friends, but liked to spend time with his family. While he enjoyed this, he also felt something was missing too, a certain absence of excitement from his life. One day, it was brought up that Suzaku's father had a terminal illness, one that would surely kill him within a few years if the proper treatment was not done. This operation costed a fortune, more than any of the world's greatest pirates even dared to imagine. This is where Suzaku started taking up bounty work, and collecting small time criminals and pirates for ends meat and eventually an operation that would save his father’s life. It was here the World Government started taking notice of the growing skill that Suzaku was displaying.

This was just what he was looking for. Suzaku had signed a contract with the World Government that lasted five years in which the deal was as promised: High value pirates would be taken out by Suzaku without any hesitation at just the point of the World Governments finger. Desperate and scrambling to look for opportunities, this would do more than just fulfill his short term dreams. Over this time period, Suzaku trained in various combat arts, and took on new skills. One in which involved eating the Kaze Kaze no Mi, which Suzaku has still not fully obtained true power with it yet. As criminal activity dropped, Marine power rose, and the village Suzaku was used to seeing as a warm and happy spot, was now corrupted by Government agency and abusive force was starting to be used.

Suzaku and his favorite Cyborg friend Matteo decided to draw the line. This was no longer a free world anymore, so they both decided to form a revolution in order to sustain some balance within South Blue. The revolts recruiting was carried in silence, but released all at once against the Government and Marine units against surrounding areas within the South Blue. The contract Suzaku once had with the World Government was destroyed, and both of Suzaku's parents went into hiding for the time being. After the battle had seized, a new order was put into place, and Suzaku hit the high seas not just for the thrill of adventure, but in attempts to earn enough beli to save his father's life, or perhaps even find a cure.
