Marina stared at her school. It was the first day back, and she was hardly ready for all the drama, lies and romance that awaited her and the rest of the students at Raindrop High. She wandered over to a bench in front of the school and sat down, savouring the last few moments of peace.

Marina routed through her bag for her timetable. What did she have first? Ugh, algebra. Marina could hardly be bothered with algebra on the best of days.

Walking down the side walk, carrying his backpack with a cinnamon roll wedged in his mouth, Titus finally made it to school since he didn't live too far away. He was not looking forward to coming back to school until he was motivated that there would be fresh new faces of cuties waiting there all for him. but hopefully this time around, he'll dodge being slapped and be a little more discreet when handling more than one woman.

He needed to head to the front office to get his class schedule but before making it in the building, he took a moment to take in his surroundings as he wondered what would come of this year.

Marina stuffed her timetable back in her bag and stood up, taking a moment to scan the area. Not far away, a dark-skinned boy was doing the same. He was cute, Marina thought, but she stuffed that thought to the back of her mind. Because, it was only the start of the year, which was way too early to start developing crushes...right? She started to walk towards the school.

A few new faces...a few familiar ones. Nothing that would really grab his attention, Titus thought. But damn! He looked over his right shoulder to catch this girl with soft green eyes. He wasn't sure if she attended this school before or not but seemed like he was going to find out sooner or later. He gave a smirk, hinting that he wanted to talk.

When they say there's always a time and place for things, dont fight it. One of Titus' former teammates came up to give him a dap mentioning that soon class was to start and wondered if he already received his schedule which in answer was the shake of his head.

Titus looked back at the cutie with the green eyes again before walking into the building to head to the front office for his schedule.

As Marina walked towards the school entrance, she turned around to check if any of her friends were here yet. She caught the eye of the cute guy she'd seen a minute ago and thought that just making friendly conversation with him couldn't hurt. Marina casually slowed down and fell into step with him, sneaking a quick glimpse at him. Not only was his face amazing, his body was great too...Marina blushed- she shouldn't be occupying her mind with boys when school had only just started! Still, she couldn't pass up the perfect opportunity to talk to a boy as cute as him...

Marina looked at the boy one last time before saying "So, are you glad to be back...um..." She trailed off, realising she didn't even know this boys name.

What was this? a girl, no, THE girl that he was looking at came and spoke to him. While Titus and his friend was going to the front office, they both stopped when the girl spoke up. Titus thought to himself Wow...already huh...well...don't be rude, speak to her. Titus gave his friend the look to be left alone knowing that he would catch back up with him again that day. He turned towards the girl and gave a smirk "Titus....the name's Titus. and yes....sorta. I wasn't really looking forward to another year of this but-" looking her up and down "I could focus on the perks of being around other students. What about you uh...." wanting to get the girl's name as well

"Marina-that's my name!" Marina replied a little too quickly, and WAY too enthusiastically. She paused for a second. She wondered if a boy like Titus could really be interested in her...he could have anyone. And that anyone was NOT likely too be her. She gritted her teeth, annoyed that her brain liked to rush into things. She silently wished she hadn't come on strong- I mean, it's the first day of school! There's still plenty of time.

Marina took a deep breath and told Titus "To be honest, I wasn't done relaxing. But here we are, I guess- I mean here I am!" Marina gave the world's most awkward nervous giggle and looked Titus in the eyes.

Flinching back a little, Titus was a little surprised on how enthusiastic her response was. It was a bit amusing, he had to admit and...watching how she acted afterwards, told him that she felt a little awkward for what she did. Titus gave a little chuckle "I see you have some spark in you." Looking into her eyes, he saw a good girl....a girl he felt he didn't deserve. Most girls that went after him were cheerleaders, plastics, girls that were difficult to get unless you were an athlete or popular yourself. She didn't need the headache of mixing up with him. but....then again, this was the first day of school, he was wondering why is he debating such things as these so soon. He needed to get to know her first.

Watching how awkward she felt, which to him, was kinda cute, he extended his hand towards her "That's a pretty name...Marina. I know what you mean. I wanted to chill some more by the pool and pretty much lounge around some more but...hey, nothing lasts forever unfortunately. And as you said...here WE are." giving another chuckle. "Marina, out of curiosity, I don't think I've seen you around before. what year are you?"

"Eleven." Marina answered, giving Titus a quick smile. "How about you?" Marina asked, genuinely curious about him too. Marina was quite sure that he was older. Titus, Marina thought, had an air about him that suggested he was older than her- all the more reason why he would not be interested in her. Not to mention that Titus totally seemed like a popular guy, and was probably a player (not that she could blame him for that, with those looks...)

Marina bit her lip, wondering whether or not she should just apologize for her incredibly impetuous, weird and awkward actions then just run off and never speak to this boy ever again. Titus probably thought that she was so strange, I mean what type of girl just runs up to a gorgeous boy and starts talking to him?! Marina felt so stupid.

"I'm a senior this year. after this, I could be going to college." he responded as he looked on at her. He figured she was younger and also she was not like the others that he's normally around. She was probably one of those students that blended i with the crowd where no one noticed her but today Titus took notice of her.

The intercom turned on as the students who have not yet received their schedule were to come to the front office immediately. Once hearing this, Titus gave a sigh of disappointment. "Look um Marina...you seem cool even though we just met but...if I see you again today or have class or study hall, maybe we could chill some time?" as a way to show interest in her.
