A bullet whizzed past as Jackson dived for cover behind one of the metal crates nearby. Breathing heavily he waited until the bullets had stopped pinging off of the metal and then leant out. Firing off a shot with his Talon he then hurled a singularity at where he thought the shots were coming from. He heard a loud shout and stood up, double tapping the armoured opponent before ducking behind cover again as more bullets raced past. Over the sound of the gun fire Jackson smiled as the first casualty shouted curses at him. Placing a barrier to one side of the crate he then rolled the other and shot the final combatant as they focused on where he had placed the barrier. Laughing Jackson stretched and then walked forward to help up the woman he had just shot. Her armour glowed a deep haze of red and her face was getting to the same shade.
"Who the hell doesn't use the barrier they set up!?" She clearly wasn't happy with the tactic he used.
"Someone who knows you are just going to keep me suppressed since you have the advantage with rate of fire and ammunition." Jackson had a wry grin as he helped up the woman and the two of the sauntered over to the exit. The other member of the fire team was waiting just outside the door and cuffed Jackson around the ear as the pair came out.
"Seriously!? How the hell am I supposed to shoot someone who makes me float in the air?" The words were harsh but the tone was bashful. The Turian who had said them was Targus Antonius, former Black Watch, who had signed up with the Agency after his unit were disbanded due to some less than stellar reports as to their treatment of some war criminals. The woman who was still laughing at Jackson's cuffed head was an Quarian by the name of Juna'Himos vas Topal, or Juna. Juna was an outcast amongst her own people. After the destruction of the Geth Juna had been an activist for rebuilding a form of AI, whilst the rest of her species had disagreed. After being discovered by the Quarians to be constructing new AI she was exiled and eventually taken into custody of the Agency. In exchange for stopping her research she became a fully fledged member and wa free to pursue other lines of research.
"If you wanted an easy fight then you should have stayed on Paladin and become a Police Officer." Jackson smiled and then left the pair to clean their armour. The simulated rounds they used not only gave the armour a red glow to inform them that they were 'dead'. It also stained armour with a sticky chalk and if it wasn't cleaned off within twenty four hours, it would become a solid crust. Jackson had no such stains and was happy to stow his armour in his locker, along with his firearm, before returning to the bridge of the Autumn Spire. On the bridge Jackson marveled at the depth of space. This wasn't his first journey but still it's enormity humbled him. Smiling at the captain, an older man with a beard many could get lost in, he walked over and patted the senior on his shoulders.
"Captain Jacobson, how close are we to Omega?"
"Well if you would wait just one moment..." The captain hushed him before sliding one lever forward. The ship gently pulled around and the view of Omega as a neon fortress came into view. "...we're here."
Jackson laughed and left the bridge heading towards the shuttle bay he greeted the crew he passed in a friendly manner. Arriving at his destination he was quick to board one of the smaller crafts and looked over his brief as the shuttle went through it's pre flight checks and took off. The craft itself had a number of windows and so the red glow illuminated his face and writings. He was here looking for an infiltrator by the name of Kita. She was the final member of the fireteam that he wanted and she had been the hardest to locate. After dropping out of Alliance Military she had practically disappeared. It was only after the Shadow Broker had re established connection to the outside world that Jackson had been able to pinpoint Kita to Omega. Now he had a meeting with Aria to get too and he wasn't going to be late.
Afterlife was buzzing as per usual and Jackson couldn't help but admire what Aria had done here. The Reapers hadn't quite got around to Omega by the time they finally were beaten and even after the collapse of the Mass Relays it hadn't suffered too badly. Now with the Galaxy rebuilding Omega was even more the hive of filth and Aria was surely only the richer because of it. A pair of fairly forward Asari pressed themselves against Jackson as he attempted to maneuver his way to Aria's personnel sofa. Whilst they were quite honestly some of the best looking people Jackson had ever seen, he excused himself and continued on with his mission. Finally arriving at the bottom of the stairs Jackson sighed as he was scanned by a gruff looking Krogan. The alarm beeped at the point closest to Jackson's L3 Implant and before the Krogan could pull a gun Jackson pulled his pistol from it's holster and then handed it back. Highlighting his biotic abilities. A number of other guards had come over at the sound of the alarm, clearly they were all on the same channel here. Just then a blue head poked over the banister and waved an arm. The Krogan moved to one side Jackson was allowed up. Parking himself opposite Aria Jackson looked her up and down, she had aged well. The last images they had of Aria wee roughly twenty year old and she looked no different.
"What can I do for the new Cerberus on the block?" A the mention of Cerberus Jackson shuddered, a poor chapter in human history that would surely sour the Agency's work. However Jackson also didn't want an enemy of Aria and was not going to argue semantics with her.
"I'm looking for girl, name is Kita. Word is that she is working for you now. I would be very grateful if you could point me in her direction."
