A civil war is raging between the Unified Earth Government, the de facto human government, and various movements seeking some degree of freedom from its influence. Tracing its origins to notorious incidents such as the nuclear bombing of the Far Isle and rising aminsoity towards the UEG in the Outer Colonies, the fighting has dragged on for nearly three decades now, having claimed millions of lives and engulfing much of human-occupied space in the process. And despite the best efforts of the UEG's military agency, the United Nations Space Command Defense Force, no clear end appears to be in sight.

Your character is a member of Delta-Seven, a combat team in the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. Best known for their unconventional method of insertion, which involves deploying from orbit via a teardrop-shaped drop pod, the ODSTs are some of the best the military has to offer. Each one is a volunteer. Most are drawn from other special operations units in the UNSCDF or the standing militaries of UEG member nations. Every candidate is selected either by on their performance in their chosen job or for their extraordinary capabilities in combat. There are no age or gender restrictions in the ODSTs either, so long as potential members meet the physical and mental requirements set.

I can't really think of any explicit rules to list, so until something comes up, just expect the same general rules as any other RP. Also, keep in mind that we haven't encountered the Covenant yet and that some things may not have been widely known or around in the year 2524.

Aside for an extreme hate and prejudice for the insurrectionist movement and those who work to better the cause Lance Corporal Edwin Ramirez has shown no malice toward anything during the time he was looked at before being cleared for military operations. Ramirez stands a bit shorter than most of the other volunteers,which is the only thing really separating him from the rest. He is Civil,Cooperative,and able to think under pressure in hostile situations.

Hispanic male with brown hair, Brown eyes. Twenty years old with one scar on his right eyebrow from an incident in his youth. Born in Bogota Colombia a slightly smaller baby although having no irregularities outside of his initial size, comes from a medical background.

Known to often go on long jogs and weightlift,Ramirez has a solid physical appearance and outstanding endurance.

Born and raised in Colombia Earth to doctor parents, he received a primary Secondary, and college education although his parents wanted him to be a doctor and continue the family legacy, Ramirez lacked the patience to go through medical school though instead opting to study nursing and becoming a paramedic while at the same time taking courses with weaponry to better prepare himself for his inevitable enlistment.

It has been observed that Cyan is quite socialable, and tends to converse as much as she can with colleges, and with civilians, on and off duty. She appears to show interest in any new culture or languages that she discovers. Some of her friends [NAMES DISCLOSED] have described this as a 'magical gift', however it has been discovered that it was simply because of her past. Cyan is described to be jokeful in-operation, however this is within normal operational standards and is not a problem. She has a light hate for insurrectionists, however facts indicate that her multi-lingual/multi-cultural mind finds reason with them. This does not, however, interfere with her career.

Cyan was born in Scotland, on Earth, with family that moved a lot around Earth and even moved planets twice, once to Harvest, and then dropped back to Earth again. This required her to learn a variety of cultures and languages in order to be suited in her new location.

Joined the marines at nineteen, after completing primary and secondary school. Cyan received field-analyst training, which was granted to her because of her multi-lingual state and her ability to learn new languages and cultures at a fast rate.

Served several years, on the second of which she volunteered for the ODSTs, and the sixth of which she was promoted to her current rank, Sergeant. Currently in training for Delta-Seven operations. Recommended as a field-analyst and lingual-specialist.

Heh, I was actually going to make a really aggravating drill-sergeant like sergeant, if you managed to get a glimpse of my WIP CS. However, I changed it because I thought, it would be great to have a multi-lingual person. And I can't play rough people well. xD

Well, we need a leader, so probably a jack of all trades. Plus, I can easily have Cyan carry a BR55, filling the role of marksman. *Cough*

Name, Rank: Lance Corporal Marcus Gerald

Psychological Assessment:
Marcus Gerald is a questionable candidate for the Orbital Drop Shock Troopers. While silent and complient, when presented with the oppertunity to be honest, we've found him to lack trust with many individuals, and even show signs of depression. However, in some twisted sense, his low self esteem and hardship on himself has made Marcus very capable of going through punishing situations and justifying them as "A betterment to himself." With that, we've also noted he can handle a high amount of stress with the full capability of pushing onwards.

Potential to become a good soldier is no doubt high, however these drawbacks are of serious concern. His lack of confidence may endanger others or become insufficient in carrying out duties, medication is to be perscribed if needed.

Medical Record and Evaluation:
Marcus seems to have been born within the territory of the Outer Colonies, sharing a likeness to most whom grow up on the agricultural farm worlds. He has a notable accent, and stands at a approximate 6'3ft tall. His skin shares that of African lineage, as with having brown eyes and dark black hair. He is rather large and muscle bound as well. There have been no notable sicknesses that are uncommon, nor any wounds that should be noted.

Career Service Vitae:
Worked on his fathers farm throughout his life prior to enlistment in the military. Seems to have common education, having gone through school with passing grades and focusing on art within college. During the age of twenty, there was a spike in travelling as he was noted to be within many varying towns, possibly searching for a job. Marcus enlisted into the UNSC armed forces at the age of 23, three years after the spike of activity in travelling.

It is advised that he is to be carrying heavy weaponry as he has managed heavy equipment in the past, and due to his strength.

Psychological Assessment: Gunnery Sergeant Tomas Garcia displays symptoms most commonly associated with post-traumatic stress disorder such as, but not limited to, bouts of rage and anxiety. His methods in the field are, based on mission reports submitted by former squadmembers of Garcia, often questionable. He has also shown a constant disregard for authority and little to no respect towards the newest members of his team. But based on his extensive service record and given the lack of battle-tested team leaders available to the ODSTs at this time, it is in my opinion that Garcia be cleared for active duty.

Medical Record and Evaluation: Well-built, red-skinned Martian standing at 5'3" feet. Narrow black eyes, high military regulation haircut. Numerous scars, the most distinct of which extend from his brows down to his chin and from his right cheek, over his nose and to his left cheek. His younger years now behind him, Garcia isn't exactly in his prime anymore. However, he is not yet at the stage where he is struggling to keep up with the standards set by the ODSTs.

Career Service Vitae: Tomas Garcia was born August 25, 2480 in the city of New Manila on Mars. He was the son of a shipyard worker and a road-train driver, but because of an early childhood incident, Garcia was placed under foster care.

Garcia enlisted on August 25, 2498 around when fighting between the insurrectionists and UNSC had started to escalate. He took part in the second major surge of combat troops in the Outer Colonies and was assigned to an assortment of rifle companies that saw light action fighting in brushfire wars that sprung up on the fringes of human space. But it wasn't until 2513, during the start of Operation: TREBUCHET, that he began to distinguish himself in combat.

He volunteered and became part of the ODSTs in 2514. Since then, Garcia has survived countless combat drops and operations, earning himself a reputation as one of the few seasoned veterans still alive after a solid decade of service with the ODSTs.

We have a tight knit group of ranks here, so I may bump Cyan's rank up to sergeant.
