Tony Stark lay dieing, having attacked Galactus when all else seemed lost. Thankfully, the combined might of Earth was able to keep him at bay while a device designed by the best minds of Earth had been charged up. When it was fired, it sent Galactus to another dimension, one which they hoped he could never return from.

A few seconds later, a portal from that world opened where he had been, though he didn't return through it. Instead, nine rings and lanterns came through, white, black, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. They sought out those of great emotion on this world, and announced themselves.

The White Ring spoke: As she lay dieing in Scott's arms, "Jean Gray of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto her finger, and she breathed in, her wounds closing themselves.
The Red Ring spoke: As he tried to calm down, "Bruce Banner of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and he roared.
The Orange Ring spoke: As he crushed the life out of Johnny Storm, "Victor von Doom of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and he laughed maniacally.
The Yellow Ring spoke: As he held the MRD agent who fired the gun, "James Howlett of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and a giant yellow snake appeared. "Please, no," yelled the man, staring at the snake.
The Green Ring spoke: As he watched the parameter, surveying the damage the battle with the MRD had caused "Eric Lehnsherr of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and surrounded him in a green aura.
The Blue Ring spoke: As he tried to figure out a way to save Tony, "Steve Rogers of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and he knew "all will be well."
The Indigo Ring spoke: As he checked the area for more MRD agents so that no one else would get shot, "Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin of Earth, you have been chosen." He new he could help.
The Violet Ring spoke: As he held his dieing wife in his arms, "Scott Summers of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger and a construct of Jean Gray appeared, holding her as well.
The Black Ring spoke: As he said goodbye to Lady Death, "Wade Wilson of Earth, you have been chosen." The ring flew onto his finger, but nothing happened. "You must first die to wield the power of the ring." it said. Deadpool laughed.

If I may; I would love to play a Sinestro/Yellow Lantern Corps member. I imagine the ring would choose people like Venom, Carnage, Red Skull (Since he is so sadistic and...freaky) or Thanos since they are all pretty scary characters in their own ways. What do you think?

I was hoping to give one to Loki, but he doesn't really fit any of the ones that are left. Maybe Fear, but not really. Unless you want to go with the "targets people that can't feel compassion" thing for the Indigo rings.

Another idea;
Colossus could be compassion. Under that thick skin of his, he's a teddy bear. If you've read any Astonishing X-Men comics, you would know that. Nevermind you got someone for it sorry, hah.

Wolverine can be fear because he is able to bring fear to almost anyone is fighting. Even Thor fears him at one point
Jean grey can is life because her being the white Phoenix of the crown. Where as dark Phoenix brings death, the white Phoenix brings the opposite

If anyone gets green it's Punisher or magneto

When punisher is beaten he is able to stay alive do to his willpower
Magneto can keep telepathy from his mind with his willpower

Also you can be I've to wear the black lantern ring.

Hulk draws strength from his boundless rage, the Red Lantern Ring draws all of the anger from the surrounding area and dumps it into the wielder. Meaning that Hulk's rage can become, potentially, infinite. Infinite rage = Infinite strength.

Kara was strong enough to remove the red ring without dieing, so I'm sure he's strong enough to do at least that.

Edit: I thought of a way to arrange the RP. What if I had two topics, one for the DC universe and one for the Marvel? Each would have their own arc.
