Premise: A new drug has taken the city by storm. They call it dreamlove and they say its supposed to take you on one hell of a trip. What they don't tell you are the consequences: users waking up naked, injured, covered in blood, or, sometimes, not waking up at all. No one has any recollection of why they have found themselves in these compromising situations, but they do remember this:
The Carnival. That's where Dreamlove takes you. You can be anyone in the Carnival. It is a place to fulfill your fantasies, your fetishes, your wildest dreams, love.
How can reality possibly compare? After the first hit, you're gone, always trying to get back. So how far will you go to escape reality?
I gotta say, I'm not much for these. However, there are a few that appeal to me, if played with the right partners. If there are cannons (that's a big if), they will be played as NPC's (with a few exceptions).
- Everyone knows the story of Tris Prior... or do they? Let's pick another city. It could be a city with faction systems or the Fringe. We could create new factions. This could be before or after the Divergent series takes place. One x one or small group if there's enough interest.
- This is the one large group role play I would like to see happen. Let's have our own Hunger Games. I would like a total of twelve players, each with one male and one female character. Districts will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis unless a better system is suggested. There's a lot involved in this, since characters can and will die, and, honestly, I'd like to relinquish the role of GM all together and work with someone who is more suited to the task. I'd much rather be a player.
- While Zuko and Azula are struggling for power in the Fire Nation, Sarafi is making plans of her own. She is the bastard daughter of the Fire Lord, older sister of the prince and princess, sent to be raised in Earth Kingdom colonies. All she wants is to be recognized in the royal succession, and she hopes catching the Avatar will finally persuade the Fire Lord to name her as his heir.
Cannons are needed here. This would be a small group.
So here's the deal with this. For the most part, I use the same set of characters in pretty much every role play. Sometimes they morph and change and split into two characters, or three will be fused into one, but for the most part, these are my ride or dies. Bearing that, most character sheets will show different adaptations, aliases, and so forth. Do not consider it an inclusive list.
