Heart Of Gold – Firefly Inspired RP

Okay, this is an interest check for a Firefly Inspired Rp. Now, prewarning – This won’t be the ‘Verse, Captain Tightpants isn’t your captain and no you cannot play a River. This is just going to be loosely based on the Firefly Universe. So it will be Steampunk Cowboys in Space (insert echo factor here) – you will be for hire smugglers, you’re good guys to certain people, bad guys to others. Who cares, you’re the guys with the guns. Crew is needed for the Heart Of Gold and I will be your captain.

Positions are as follows –
Mechanic – You keep the ship in the air damn it - claimed
Pilot – Someone has to fly this ship - claimed
Second in command – will remain open until I see who has the goods to do the job
Medical – We get hurt, someone has to patch us up
He Who Makes Things Go Boom – Yeah, we need “that” guy - claimed

Want a different position? Sure, throw me your application and what you do and I will see if I can smuggle you in but it will cost you. But don’t work on your CS yet! Gotta see what type of interest this generates first. So, I won’t be answering Cs questions until I have enough interest to make an OOC – Once that is done, details will be posted and CS requirements will be listed.

i would absolutely be interested in being She Who Makes Things Go Boom. haven't decided yet if i want to be vinny from atlantis or merrill from dragon age in terms of attitude, but i'll grab the spot!

I might be interested in being the ship's doctor, or a neural networking kind of guy. FYI, NN is the cyberwarfare, where one keeps the ship safe from hackers, and tries to hack into enemy ships. Having everything disabled and remotely controlled by the enemy is bad- unless you're doing it, of course.

@WilsonTurner Either could work very well, especially the hacker for smuggling or robbing people, lol Which ever you would enjoy more is fine. Ships doc isn't a required thing to start.

I could play the Ship's doctor if you want.

Edit: I suppose Mechanic sounds interesting. I always liked that gal from Firefly.

@Pirouette mechanic is claimed, but ships doc may be open if @WilsonTurner ends up going the hacker route.

I'll get an ooc up tomorrow for this, looks like we have plenty of interest to start one. I'll have cs stuff up in it and post my cs for ships captain as well.

(I will allow for a character to have a main job bit to play back up for another position if needed)

I suppose I'll be the ship's neural networking officer, then.
