Toy
Name: Sir Maxwell
Gender: Male
Age: Late teens/early twenties
Description of Product:
Features: Max has a number of different pieces of armor that he can wear, as well as a sword, shield, and lance that he can use as weapons.
Personality: For the most part, Max tends to act “in-character”, meaning that he is stalwart, valiant, and will step up to the defense of anyone, especially Princess Amelia (who is part of his toy series). Despite this, he knows that he is a toy, and when he’s not ‘in-character’, he’s still a pretty nice guy who gets along well with the other toys. He sees himself as the personal protector of “The Land of Babbling Brook.”
History of Product: Sir Maxwell is part of an extensive line of fantasy-themed action figures and dolls based off the children’s show “Princess Amelia”. Max plays the part of the main love interest to the titular princess. This particular Maxwell was bought for Miss Emily’s niece as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, the gift was never opened because Emily’s niece threw a royal fit when she unwrapped him, as she already had two other Maxwell figurines. While Emily herself collected mini figures of different anime characters, she didn’t believe that there was a place for Maxwell in her collection, so she donated him to the daycare, knowing that he’ll at least get some use there.
Non-Toy
Name: “Miss” Emily Dickinson (Yes, that’s her name. No, she isn’t that Emily Dickinson, although she is familiar with her work.)
Gender: Female
Age: 24
Physical Description:
Personality: Emily is fairly laid-back and easygoing compared to some of the other workers and is willing to get down to the children’s level to play with them, making her a popular teacher. She can be stern when she has to be, though but will rarely resort to yelling or any kind of physical discipline. She loves her job, resulting in her sometimes working late to process paperwork and prepare the children’s rooms for the next day.
Other: Although she’ll occasionally speak to the toys, she does not believe that they can talk back.
